Hi,
I've got a Nexus 5 with Stock Rom, xposed framework and fauxkernel
I disable xposed framework and fauxkernel and tried to flash the 4.4.2 update with TWRP recovery but I get an error:
"/system/bin/debuggerd" has unexpected contents"
I believe this is from using stick mount from my research, can someone upload me the stock version of this file?
Thanks
why dont you just flash the stock 4.4.2 system image?

i would like to install the latest OTA update for 4.4.2 but it keeps failing.
i flashed stock recovery and i have stock kernel.
when i apply the update it just states that the update was unsuccessful.
any idea on how to solve this? i have tesco moto g on which i flashed stock UK firmware. it is only rooted. i do not think that i have deleted system apps and i tryed disabling xposed modules.
could someone make a flashable zip if it is possile?
i would really appreciate it :victory:
I use the latest TWRP as my recovery and it updates the OTA files fine, so I would suggest trying that.

SuperSU- settings -Full unrooth. Reboot and download via OTA if it available. there is an option via adb fast boot, but for that look in the FAQ

first uninstall Xposed, unrooth, and restart. Then try to sideload *.zip via adb. If i am correct:adb sideload- name.zip
Thanks all!
I would love to definitive answer.
I am currently on 5.0 (LRX21O) (updated from KK 4.4.4 using OTA).
When the factory image for 5.01 comes out, can I update to it by simply flashing the new system.img onto the phone?
Or will that cause problems? Is that the same as a "dirty" update? Thanks a lot.

That's not what is meant by "dirty" or "clean" install.

But i don't think that there is any need to do a full wipe or wipe /data before upgrading to 5.0.1 from 5.0
That's exactly what I did on my N10 and all is well.

You will want system, radio, and if you are using stock kernel, boot. Verify the bootloader is the same version (it should be). The rest you can ignore.

Wiping your phone or not makes the following install "clean" or "dirty". " Need" is arbitrary and not relevant to the definition.

Read what the error is telling you. It expects x and you have y.

my phone running 6.0.1 not 5.0.2, anyway what is the solution ?
Ota updates can only be installed on an unrooted system with stock recovery unless the ota update has been compiled for flashi via twrp.
It is asking for google and you have omni.

so, is there a way to install this ota update manually, without unroot the phone and wipe twrp recovery ?
Why would you install a Google OTA when you are obviously running a custom ROM?
Wait for the developer of that to update, or revert back to stock.
I'm using a rooted HTC U11 with the latest TWRP and Magisk. Since yesterday I get a message that tells me to upgrade my HTC U11 to version 1.27.401.5. I can't install the downloaded ota so I need a complete rom. Where can I find that?
Maybe next door
Too much info error... So it's possible to flash an OTA over my rooted stock rom using TWRP?
Since the OTA is already downloaded to /data/data/com.htc.updater/files can I just copy it to the root folder and then flash it with TWRP?

No, TWRP cannot handle an OTA completely. You have to reflash stock recovery.
And even if you reflash stock recovery the OTA could fail to apply.
Have you modified your system partition after rooting? Any mods that install to system instead of data?
If you have modified the system partition the OTA won't apply. You have to reset to stock, i.e. by using an RUU

I'm still on the stock rom with TWRP as recovery. Afaik I didn't use any mods that install to system instead of data.
I just want to install the current version 1.27.401.5. If that's not possible by OTA then a full rom would also be welcome.

Get @LlabTooFeR 's Maximus HD rom, you'll always get the latest updates on an optmized stock rom

Then you might get the OTA applied by
reflashing stock recovery
deinstalling Magisk
