I've got the leaked ICS w/ Root & CWM, and my NFC greys out any time I try to click it. Any one else get it working?
hmmm it works for me on ics smooth ice rom if its that big of a deal try reflashing
I have wiped reinstalled rom, touch to focus, nothing works. as soon as I use flash my phone goes black resulting in a battery pull. running blackbean 6, would really like tofind a fix since I love this Rom. also is there any way to pull the camera from synergies r73 to use with this rom? I love the volume as shutter option and haven't found any mods that work on this rom for the same feature.
thanks!

No you can't use a touchwiz camera on AOSP.

so is there any fix for flash rendering a phone reboot? I tried several other jb roms that were 4.1 and 4.2 based and same problem. if I use a camera app it works fine, but lacks the quality in picture.
If this isn't fixed by flashing a new ROM then believe it or not you need a new battery. This was a common problem on the DROID charge.

If I stay stock rom it works fine, or if i use any rom later than 4.1. I never had any issues on synergy until the jb leak, then just assumed it was a glitch somewhere, but i have found after testing it does it on any rom that runs 4.1 or higher unless im running stock. I think i might have found a fix tho, i pulled the camera from stock rom and placed it in my sys/app fixed permissions and works fine. I tried this with the 4.2 camera but it crashed my phone to. So i guess im stuck with stock for now?
So of now im using the latest baked rom and I think it is doing good so far. My only issue is that after taking 1 picture the camera messes up and the only way to fix it is to reboot my camera every time. This can get pretty annoying so i was wondering if it was at all possible to just install a tw camera and gallary with this rom or any aosp 4.2 build in general?
Nope. Touchwiz needs touchwiz to run properly in a nutshell. There are many options you can try from the play store though.
I'm using baked and have no problems with the camera... did you try reflashing ?
Running latest carbon ROM using lean kernel. Why is the stock 4.2 camera locking up and causing reboots but only sometimes. Doesn't matter of I touch to focus first or let it auto focus. Is there a more stable version I can flash our do I need to go back to the ics cam for stability?
It's not just Carbon Rom for me, its every 4.2 rom.

Same here. I want to run Carbon ROM, but my camera crashes within 2 seconds of opening it on every build that I've tried! I don't have the time to flash and trouble shoot for hours, so I will have to stick to TW till I hear it's fixed, so here we are back on Synergy.
Hi,
I had sky ics 4.04 and people who i called said they can hear me perfect.
But i had some bugs in that rom (touchwiz crashed alot, and not fully support of hebrew languige, wich i need)
I tried a lot of roms (slim bean, super lite, nightly..) and they all were fast, stable but with call quality problems. (The other side find it difficult to jear me)
I tried to swich some radio's, but nothing got better.
My currect rom is nightly 4.2.2 cm10.1 (wich is perfect! Except the call quality)
With radio: ucli3
Kernel: cyanogenmod 3.0.63
Why do you think the cause for the good quality on the skyics 4.04 ? , mabe the kernel?

AFAIK radio/kernel/signal are all that should affect call quality. You could probably mess with your build.prop some but you'll have to search around for that.
IMO there's only two ROMs out there that I would use right now, Latest Stock ODIN or JellyBAM.
JellyBAM is flawless, I have ZERO problems with it and it has EVERY feature you can imagine (literally).
If you're looking or a fresh start to trial and error, try JellyBAM. It's stable and loaded with features.
As far as radios go, UCLL3 is the best radio that I've found, but you could try the new UXUMA7 from the Rogers JB release, might work better for your location.
Nibbles v0.1.4 is a nice kernel and I haven't had any problems with that either.

There are a number of very good roms out there. I've tried many and don't have call quality issues. Radio had been UCLL3 and UXUAM7

It might not have been a compatible rom. Nibbles if for JB CM-based roms.
