World Factbook
1.0.131216.32
I've been working on this small app in my spare time. It's called World Factbook and, predictably, is based on data extracted from CIA World Factbook
World Factbook provides information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities.

Data sources:
The World Factbook 2013-14. Washington, DC: Central Intelligence Agency, 2013.

App has both phone and tablet UIs, does not require any special permissions and is completely offline. However, it requires about 15 megabytes of additional space for a database to be unpacked from internal assets. Which is done on the first run, hence a loading message.

I have had to quickly push out another update (2.4.1), some phones were crashing when downloading some of the season transfers.
This should now be fixed.

Outbreak! 2

Hi All!
So last year I created a thread here about an app that I had just released. I got a lot of great support from this forum so I though I should come back and give an update about the latest version!
It's now available from the market, and there have been a lot of significant changes. So here are a few screenshots:

The premise of the game is the same as always. You play the game on a map view, using you actual location. Zombies must attack survivors and vice versa. As a survivor, when a Zombie gets your health down to zero you will turn into a zombie. If you are killed as a Zombie you can respawn as a survivor.
The game has a leveling system, so you can level up as you attack users, and increase the range with which you can attack.
I'm also working on some pretty major features at the moment, as I want to integrate real world locations ... but that's all I'm going to say on that for now. I think the biggest news, however, is that there is also an IOS version in the works ... not that any one here would care but you will be able to distinguish between android and IOS users, and attack accordingly.
There is also a facebook page where I post pre-release versions of the app for people to try out.
I have thrown together a temporary website (while I try to find time to do something proper), which explains the game a little more. I have made a pre-market version available here, which has all of the latest features.. just waiting for a good time to go live on the market.
As always I would love to get as much feedback as possible!
Thanks & Enjoy!
Hi,
Nice app!
I gave it a try today.
I was lucky enough to find a player in my neighborhood but unfortunately he was a zombie, like me.
So my first suggestion would be to allow to respawn as an opposite kind.
Because basically I just cannot play since the closest other player is > 100 km from me!
Cheers.
Thanks! If you email [email protected] with your user name I can add some NPCs in your area. This is a beta feature so I ask people to request.
Cheers,

[APP][2.1+] Life RPG 1.0

Name: Life RPG
Description:
Life RPG is interesting and original app for Android. Briefly telling - this is app for developing habits, scheduling jobs and todo`s. It is interest because process of planning is served in form of role-playing. Though this is application it has elements of RPG genre – levels, money, equipment, weapon and even pets.
Little about screens. On the main screen displayed your game progress. Names of other screens (“Habits”, “Everyday tasks”, “ToDo” and “Achievements”) speak for themselves.
You can speak about Life RPG as about motivation application. By accomplishing your tasks and following your positive habits you get game money that you can spend on things you like. Just add something as award to the list “Achievements” assign adequate price for it and spend game money on it. For example, my list : “1 series The Big Bang Theory”, “30 minutes playing games”.
Application Life RPG in pleasant game form will help you to accustom yourself to planning. This is truly important, because plan – it`s half the battle.
The application is free and available in English on Google Play.

Grind Design student developer: apps and mobile web sites.

I am a student at Full Sail University studying for my B.S. in Mobile Development. I have been working on a few mobile websites and now published my first app. I have been an active member on XDA for multiple devices for quite some time and decided to start sharing my public apps as well as alphas and betas as I advance through school. I also intend to get into stock rom customization and original rom development as I progress. Links to those thread if/when they come up may also be listed here. Any support is appreciated. I may also support work here of my fellow students. As the variety of Apps broaden they will also be categorized. Any need for alpha and beta testing will also be posted here.
Also follow me @ https://www.facebook.com/GrindDesign
I am starting with my first app and it's mobile website counterpart. This is an extremely simple bill list app that I am an active user of and working to bring several under the hood and user based enhancements. This app has been published.

Hi everyone,
I hope I am posting in the right section.
I recently released my first personal published app to the Play Store. It has ads, but those will soon be removed - chose to include them to learn how. I also have my code as open-source if anyone wants it.
Link is at the bottom of this post.
My app is unique in that it does several network requests to foursquare api and google places to aggregate and populate a listview.
My favorite and most exciting feature was implementing a compass AND pointer using sensors, gps data, and a lot of math. Took me a lot of hard work just for this first main version.
The compass always points mag North regardless of which way you turn and also has an arrow that points at the moving target based on real-time sensor/gps/API data.
Still a few bugs that but I'm taking a break from the app so I can come back in a few weeks and refactor + add new features.
This app will display real-time interactive location data for food trucks/trailers/food stands etc.
It should work on any device at any orientation. My custom interpolation makes a smoothe compass/pointer.
Any feedback and support would be greatly appreciated as I am job hunting and it isn't easy by any means, as some of you know. The more I can implement changes/feedback from reviews (hopefully) and/or here, the better prepared I'll be for Dev positions.
Thanks to anyone that downloads the app. You guys on this entire forum are awesome; I mostly use it for updates on kernels and roms, but first time I'm posting on a published app in the Play Store. Thanks everyone.
Cheers,
Justin
