Hi! So the problem is that I installed a custom ROM on the family tablet, but some family members want to get the stock JB back. I have a backup of stock ICS only, because P5110XXDMI1 got released after I flashed the custom ROM and now as Hotfile is dead, I can't get this firmware from anywhere.
So I would be grateful if someone had and could upload P5110XXDMI1 to somewhere.

Thanks! BTW Did I miss something or the same firmware goes to HU and ITA and SER and countries that are close to each other?
Oops I just figured out that this one is 4.2.2 which has the notification things at top which is terrible, but on that website there is no 4.1 firmware for europe. So anyone has P5110XXCLK7? I checked and it's 4.1.

Official Final version of apanda (clone Boston) ROM 2.1
In the forum htcmania there are already staff testing this version. They say that GPS is working and that the only "problem", also announced by Apanda, is that this version does not bring installed Google applications (GMS), including the Market.
the link of the rom upgrade:
apk. apanda. com. cn / special / soft / pai_test / 2_1 / Hipi2_1_4.zip
The tools used by staff of htcmania for the upgrade are the same as the old version.
Is there some way how to backup my original rom? I have branded ROM by ORANGE and I want to save it if something goes wrong (with 2.1 update). Thanks
The Boston is out in Austria aswell now.
i'm interested to see if there is 2.1 coming on it.
if there is a working 2.1 with german or at least enlish, i'm gonna buy it!
I'm curious about these. A guy at work has the Blaze F800 variant and looking for an update. I don't think it's been done yet but there are several 2.1 roms for the Wellcomm and Apanda.
The problem that I see, is that going into bootloader mode, the only options I see are "reboot" and flash "sdcard:update.zip". In the screenshots of the other phones they are flashing a nb0 file via bootloader and have several more options; one of which is "Flash nb0 file from SdCard"

Hi there,
I managed to update and install Gingerbread 2.3.3 on my LG P500, I'm happy with it, except from one thing, when I go in to Messaging and try and type a text, the letters are so small on the keyboard, why have they made it smaller than the 2.2.2 text size?
Is there anyway possible, I can open up the 2.2.2 KDZ and take out the messaging text line/cmd/script and paste it into the 2.3.3 KDZ and update my phone again?
I much preferred the messaging text/letters size on the 2.2.2 build, someone help.
Thanks!

Thanks, I'll have a look. I see in your signature you have got Oxygen ROM installed to the same phone as me, what do most people use, is Oxygen stable on the phone?
More importantly, I currently have 2.2.2 installed on the phone, I suppose 2.3.3 is the latest OFFICIAL out atm?

Go with the one that ends with 20G. It's new baseband. If you want to try custom roms you will it need it since most roms use it.
Using a rom is personal preference. I use oxygen and it's stable. I also switch to different roms for a change and more features.
Updated main post, someone please advise.
Quote from a different site on the Gingerbread 2.3.3 keyboard on LG P500 'the keyboard is way too small and i typo non-stop now.'
I think on other phones Gingerbread 2.3.3 keyboard looks fine, but it is way too small on the LG P500.

I'm not sure if it will work. KDZ might check the validity of file before flashing and so edited KDZ file won't work.
Why don't you try alternate keyboard from play store?
SwiftKey and Swype are good....
I've managed to successfully install 4.4.2 onto Rogers bell SaskTel and telus Note 3. Modem and CSC from the latest Canadians Carrier and flashed with Odin 3.09 along with TelCel (Mexican) 4.4.2 files below. Download link file in the attached file.
Follow the instructions and have a break for kit Kat.
Also good news is if you don't like to be on 4.4.2 and want to go back you can go back from the 4.4.2 to 4.3 again by just downloading the Carrier specific official Odin flash ROM. This ROM is down gradable.
Good luck all Canadians....

Yes, we already do know this works on our phones because several of us have already done it days ago, myself included. It works fine.
hey,

So essentially this gives you stock kitkat with 4.3 modem? Does it wipe data? Trigger Knox?

Just head over to this thread for more information - @shant0nu why don't you update your original post with this link so we can reduce redundancy. No point in having the same conversation in two spots.
Change title - it is not a official update
Thanks for bring it to us.
I would request you not to post incorrect information as this is not a official update. It defeats the purpose of having a forum.
Thanks

Any news for official update over OTA ?
Hi,
Has anyone received update notification via OTA or Kies for 4.4 ?
Mostly all the model have received the update so far, looks like Canadian carries are slower then the rest to push the update.
Please update.
Thanks

hello i had a question
i has to install the rom from telus, becaouse if i install another, i lost the LTE capability, and i dont know why, i tried to install this rom(telcel) and i had two problems, lost of the lte capability and i was unable to activate by this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489766), and the second problem was the network lock, so i can use on my network, anybody can help me????
I installed this sucessfully on my SM-N900W8, but with problems
Hi everyone, I installed this method on my SM-N900W8 and have successfully updated to 4.4.2 KitKat, but there were some problems:
1- My LTE doesn't work, so I've had to put up with slow data
2- My External SDHC card (64GB Sandisk) wasn't compatible for files such as music, videos, etc.
I installed 4.4.2 right when this thread was posted about a month ago and figured that since the official KitKat update was coming soon, I didn't think I'd have to put up with it for that long, but it's been a while and still we have no KitKat.
I also read that once you flash 4.4 KitKat, you cannot go back to 4.3, is that true with this method, since the 4.3 Kernel is still the same?
I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here!
(In the meantime, I'm going to try my luck with this new 4.4.2 custom ROM that was released for the SM-N900W8: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648843) (I believe shant0nu here in this thread authored this one!)
p.s. My carrier is Telus, if that matters at all.

You can downgrade back to 4.3 if you flashed the right files. Read the guide here.
Hi,
Today my i9505 (stock) notified of an update available for download (392.94 mb OTA)
Would updating make my S4 difficult to flash? currently on I9505XXUHOJ2 could not find any information on what's new/changed in the update.
Also is the OTA update ok or do I need to update using the Odin method as the below linked site suggests & so do most of the past firmware update posts on xda?
Smart Switch says the file size is 1458 mb
I dont mind following either way to update my S4.
Ref: samsung-firmware.org
Thanks!
oh boy, it is still 5.0.1
not shure if I go to try this, the last one has a bug on my phone, don´t know, it was maybe the settings and back button bug.
but also 5.0.1 is maybe to outdated?

Anyway, I have downgraded my stock rom to Jelly Beam (via sammobile.com). After this, I can easily handled the root and the custom rom install processes (resurrection remix).
