Hi.
I have S6500D with CM 10.1 build 30.08.2013.
I've tested latest 4 builds and white screen issue was not a problem for me, until today. Phone starts with white screen, when touching volume keys plays sounds with a little lag, home button and power buttons works but white screen remain.
But, problem is that i have white screen even in recovery mode ( CWM 6.0.3.3 jena) and download mode. I cannot do anything.
I flashed with Odin 3 v.3.04 original rom and white screen persist.
After power on, the phone plays sound logo, display turn on in white screen and stays on, then phone vibrate 3 times, periodic.
With the phone off and on charging, white screen appear and display turn off after few seconds.
What do you think ? Is there any chances to repair my phone?
Update: -now phone don't want to enter in recovery mode
What can i do ?
Solved.
Closed.
Hi,
Picked up a HTC one S of off a mate today who dropped it and cracked the screen. Replaced the screen for him but it's still not working. Here's symptoms and what I tried.
-black screen all the time
-phone boots, three buttons at bottom lit up, LED flashes green and if I call him the phone vibrates
-if I hold down the power and volume buttons down, once the home lights have flashed 15 times I see a few lines of flicker for a fraction of a second on the screen and then nothing.
-Touchscreen appears to work as it vibrates when touching it (and I'm inputting text presumably?)
-He hadn't customised/flashed any other ROM on there.
Can someone perhaps shed light on next steps for troubleshooting?
Thanks
Tobias
Hello everyone,
I bought a LCD replacement for my OPO, and asked a friend to replace the screen (he had his own OPO, and changed the screen on it a couple times, so I trusted him).
The frame was not included, so the phone is without it unfortunately.
But I have this problem with the screen itself...
I boot the phone, everything goes well, it boots, everything ok, I can do everything...
Then the phone goes to sleep after the 30s, and sometimes when I press the button to turn it on, the lights in the bottom light up, I can hear sounds, I can swipe to answer calls for example, but the screen stays all black.
If I press the power button to turn it to sleep mode and then click again to wake it within 1 or 2 seconds, it works everythime.
Its just when it goes to sleep... And then I have to press the power button to reset the phone, and it boots again.
I'm using the LineageOS Rom, and I never had problems like this before replacing the LCD.
What caused this? Could the screen be "broken" when I bought it?
Thank you for reading this and for the help!

Click to collapse
Well, clearly the issue is lcd itself.Happened with me on my last screen replacement,it was defective.Though in my case,I had to power on/off the device to get the display back.Get a refund or replacement, there's no other alternative.
Asus zenfone 3, android / custom-ROM ResurrectionRemix 8.1
lock screen is de-activated
When i switch the screen on by the on/off button, instead of the normal home screen, sometimes a strange blue or yellow circle appears with the time / date in it, like on the pic...
With this strange screen i cannot do anything: after pressing the on/off button the strange clock appears again, tapping/swiping on this strange screen does not work.
I can only long-press the off button to restart the phone, after which the normal home screen appears again.
Which app/setting does it come from? And how can i get rid of it?
This might happen when accidentally triggering the Asus Zenfone Case Mode I think?
It is a samsung S7 smg930f stock Rom from Brazil, did not suffer any damage at all, but does not turn on anymore.
Does not respond to Power Vol+ Home buttons.
After some time charging it enters the Green 'Downloading do not turn off target' Screen on its own,
then you can reset it with Power Vol+ Home buttons but the screen goes black again,
it does not enter the recovery menu.
When it enters Download Green Screen I connect it to windows 8 and it shows 'Serial Gadget' under device manager.
I suspect Samsung killed it with an update during the night. Is there anything I can do?
Thanks
Celso
