I have kitkat 4.4 rooted, and Ive uninstalled many system apps. I was trying to install OTA 4.4.1 for rooted devices it won let me. Someone suggested on the forums to flash the stock krernel via fast boot, after that the ota goes through. I did so. I dont know after that my phone is unable to mount the internal storage, and all the information in settings-about seems to be wiped. Can anyone please help? Im more desperate because we just had a child last week and I have all the newborns photos UNBACKED UP!! I need those photos above all else.
PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP!

But Before I do anything I want to extract my SD card data from the phone. Can I do this in any way possible? If my phone boots normally it does not see the internal SD, If I boot into TWRP, I see the internal SD. I want to copy files from Internal SD to a USB disk. PLease tell me if this is possible.

Found post if anyone needs it;
Basically all you need to do is connect it to your pc in bootloader and enter the following command;
"Fastboot format cache "
restored everything.

Hi
I've just unlocked the bootloader and flashed CWM recovery. Somewhere along the way Android seems to have lost access to my SD card; the photo galley, for example, says 'no photos found', there's no music found, also superSU also cannot find SU (presumeably on SD card?).
The SD card otherwise is fine; I can mount it via USB and can access it via 'ES File Explorer'.
I dont know what to do here; I've 'fixed permissions' and wiped the Dalvik cache to see if that makes any difference but no changes.
I'm just about to do a factory reset; help please?!!!!

Hello,
For starters this should really be in the Q&A section, but before doing a factory reset mount your phone to your computer with your USB and copy all the contents off your sdcard. Then reformate your sdcard from the settings on the phone, Settings>storage>erase phone storage. The remount your phone on your computer and copy att the stuff back to your phone. If that doesnt work your going to have to a factory reset.

Ah, sorry.
Thanks. I'll try that.
Ok. Next time post in Q&A or you will get really flamed for posting in the dev section by other people, not just me.
Hopefully a mod can move it to Q&A.

As you have probably learned from the previous posts, its not acceptable to post questions in the Q&A section.
Thanks for the help. And for gently shunting this post where it should be.
Problem was eventually solved by 'Rescan SD' app. Recommended; does what it says on the tin.
So I had this problem a lot on my Samsung Galaxy nexus and I'm pretty aggravated that I'm experiencing it again. This will probably sound like the same-old same-old to those who know what I'm talking about but here it goes.
So I have multiple places where the files on my internal SD card are showing. This is incredibly annoying.
I have:
/sdcard/
/storage/emulated/0/
/storage/emulated/legacy/
/storage/sdcard0/
The ONLY thing I have done with this phone is root it. I haven't even flashed a custom/stock ROM. Simply unboxed, OTA'd to 4.4.2, unlocked bootloader, flashed (TWRP) recovery, and installed SuperSU. So what gives? And how can I fix this (annoying) thing? Thanks.
afaik those are just symlinks, the real location is data/media/0

I didn't think they were at first because most of my SD card was taken up. But I found the problem. Thanks.
No support from zeki. They said sorry can't help. And past any warranty to return.
Zeki tablet TBQG884B kitkat 4.4.2
I tried a swap ram thing to try increase memory size/speed.
dev_mount sd card change
I didn't quite know what I was doing. Didn't make a backup, etc.
I rooted tablet with kingoroot it's still on it. So is superuser but it asks to download binary files again, but can't because no sd card mounted. Internal or external.
It won't connect to computer usb debuging or mass storage at all.
I can no longer get into system files file explorer etc., to try to reverse/fix what I did.
It said nand flash something instead of sd in video. I now know I shouldn't of edited it.
Is there any way I fix it. Maybe put a different OS on it? If that would fix it? Maybe something from google/android and kitkat?
It works as far as going online with brower. But not much more. won't mount either sd.
I looked everywhere and trying everything. Please help. Thanks.
It said in video to go into sysytem files and change ...

Hello All. I’ve run into an issue with my new Moto G4+. I rooted the phone a couple of weeks ago and all was well with that. I downloaded the AOKP rom last Friday and was going to flash it over the weekend. To my surprise, TWRP does no see my external SD card so I can’t do a backup. The internal storage does not have enough space to backup. I have the 16gb model. I can see/use the SD card with no problem when the phone is running. I’ve searched the forums for a solution, but the only thing I’ve found is to format the SD card as internal storage. However, folks seem to be really, really divided on this solution. I really want to flash AOKP, but I need to do a Nandroid backup first. I tried doing an on-line backup with the TWRP app, but it doesn’t provide me with an MD5 for verification. Any help with getting TWRP in recovery mode to see the SD card would be greatly appreciated. TWRP file manager and terminal allow me to see the card (sdcard1 is its name in TWRP recovery), but it does not show up for "select storage" or "mount" options.
Thanks.

Hi Guys!
I need some serious help here.
I have rooted my phone. I bought and installed the link2sd plus app to enable obb to be transferred to sd card. I transferred the obb of Rules of Survival and it asked to reboot. I rebooted the phone and when it turned it back on it went to black screen showing 0% battery then it loaded to the main screen with an error saying Process system isn't responding. I have chosen to wait and even pressed on OK. The worst part of it, is that the phone does not recognize the sd card. I tried to reformat it in several ways through the phone and computer and still no luck. The computer and other phones would recognize the sd but not my phone. I tried to check the camera and it would also give me an error to turn off usb storage using camera. I pressed ok then it would say device maintenance has stopped.
By the way, I might have also uninstalled a few default apps using link2sd as well...
Is my phone doomed?
I hope you can help me guys!

I don't have this device but, the following area of the forum also covers your device as well.

With that stated...
I did locate the following thread post that has some conversations regarding the Link2SD. Hopefully it will help you out.

The following threads are just a few that are specific to Link2SD that may be helpful and don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within one of them.
