[Q] Cyanogenmod 11 Official - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there, there's no thread for the official Cyanogenmod 11 yet so I thought I'd ask here, I was on an unofficial release for weeks now, and I just installed the first release, which I believe they're calling a Snapshot, and in doing so I lost a bunch of stuff, like my camera for example, and many gapps, but I still have like half of the gapps? Has anyone else tried CM11 official yet and experienced this? Any help would be appreciated. I didn't make a backup (foolishly) before doing this so I cant just restore, but if no one knows the issue, would it be as simple as installing my original CM11 zip over the top like I did this one to sort of restore?

[Q] On CyanogenMod 10.1-20130624 nightly but can't figure out how to update =/

Hey guys,
So I haven't picked up my tf300t for quite a long time and I'm on CyanogenMod nightlys and I go to update it but it keeps looping the asus logo on me.
running
CyanogenMod 10.1-20130624-NIGHTLY-tf300t
I try and use goomanager to update my nightly to the newest nightly build "cm-10.2-20130904-NIGHTLY-tf300t.zip" and when it reboots it just loops on me.
So thankfully i've backed up myself and restore to my current build cm10.1-20130624nightly.
Anways, so I install the latest TWRP build
openrecovery-twrp-2.6.1.0-tf300t-JB.blob 2013-08-29 21:45:14 PDT
thinking that that might help, seeing as how i'm running android v. 4.2.2
It doesn't help. So i try and flash the 9/4 cm 10.2 nightly via TWRP and it still won't work.
I'm just really wondering what step I'm missing. I know I've probably missed something obvious so I don't mind if you guys lay into me for being a moron. I just would like to be running the latest CM10.2 nightly out there right now.
TIA you guys, I'll keep searching these threads for help, but if you can, tell this idiot OP what he's missing and what he should do. Stay classy yall

Official CM11?

Hi everybody, this is my first thread here.
I'm currently on stock 4.1.1 after getting s-off and supercid but then soft bricking trying to update hboot (I think I restarted my phone while it was updating) . Little bit put off trying to load a custom ROM for now (having to reconnect gmail accounts, redownload apps etc) but I'd obviously make the exception for 4.4.
I've seen a few unofficial CM11 builds are already out there in some form or another but my question is will there be an official CM11 for the HOS? If not what will be the closest thing to it? Someone that knows more about CM11 (in general), will it be long until they have a fully functional 4.4 ROM with all features working?
Thanks!
Cyanogenmod will finish cm 10.2 before moving on to 11

Its MOST likely, sense we are still part of the HTC "One" line. But Cyanogenmod Developers have stated that just because Google optimized android 4.4 for older devices that they still wouldn't go back and support them. But our device is a monster, and its never old to me! One thing I can tell you is the HTC Evo 4G wont be seeing official builds:laugh:
CM11 is already running faster and most stable than CM10.2, so i would imagine we'll start getting official releases at some point

[Q] Help flashing from cm10.1.2 to cm11

Hi everyone, please delete if this has been posted elsewhere, I didn't find a similar thread nearby.
I've been happy with cm10.1.2 on my Verizon S3 for a while but am looking to update to cm11 m6. Noticed a couple things and had a few questions if you folks would be kind enough to oblige.
1. Cyanogenmod's built in updater (update types set to "All versions [incl. Nightlies]) only shows me cm10.x stable releases and cm11 nightlies up through february, no cm11 milestones before or since. Is this because of the consolidation of all S3s into the new "d2lte" device category?
2. If so, do I then just update TWRP, download cm-11-20140504-SNAPSHOT-M6-d2lte.zip, and flash away? Is it ok to do a dirty flash from cm10 to cm11 or do I have to do a full wipe (would prefer not to if at all possible)?
Sorry if these are noob questions - I only got into custom roms because I hate Touchwiz *that* much and have only been really learning on an as-needed basis, so I tend to approach new releases with caution. Thanks in advance!

I couldn't tell you why the M6 doesn't show up on the updater (but that's a good idea as to why), but as to the second question.. do a Nandroid backup, then update the TWRP, then wipe, then flash the rom, the gapps then wipe again for fun. Don't do that dirty.. 10.x to 11 would be a bad thing if done without wipe.

[Q] IMEI issue in CM12

The phone is not recognizing the Sim card, it seems like I lost the IMEI since I updated to CM12, it was working fine when I was on SlimLP. Could someone help me get the IMEI back? I would be grateful if you could provide me with some information regarding this issue and how its dealt with in general.

Hey there,
I'm not devs, just a noob user, and I may not find any answer, but could you be more detail or information about your phone?
i.e: P31xx or P51xx, recovery ver 6.0.x.x, which cm 12 version you take from, andwhat triggered the problem, probably download a new apps or flashing new kernel or something.
As far as I know, my P3100 working smoothly using cwm 6.0.5.1 and cm 12 build feb 15, from Android-Andi (not the Slimlp version).
Perhaps someone could help. Cheers.

The one posted by Android Andi.
It works fine except for the IMEI, tried flashing via CWM and TWRP.
Now I have switched back to SLIM LP which doesn't seem to have the issue. Anyways, thanks for your reply, CHEERS.

Is Cortana working on Nougat ROMs?

Currently I'm running the latest nightly of CyanogenMod 14.1 on my OPO and Cortana seems unable to start. Wondering if you guys have encountered the same problem. Thanks.

I haven't been able to get Cortana to boot on CM14.1 for about a month. I figured it was just me since I haven't been able to find any threads with the same issue. Really wanted to test out the new design that came out today.
EDIT: Started a thread on the CyanogenMod Bacon forums (I can't post a link since I'm a new user but you should be able to find it).
