this phone is not unlockable. you can however try using your countries simcard and seeing if it works

You should fully wipe your phone and, if it won't work then reflash it to a stock rom (it should be the same one you had until an issue) using, for example, odin. Then check imei if the number will return, unlock your phone with unlock services.

Yep, a borked imei number will not allow you to connect to your cellular network...
I'm guessing that your efs folder wasn't backed up... you can try this...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881162
I haven't tried this but good luck.
thank you brassguy...
but does this work for infuse 4G ?
In addition, I read that we can change the IMEI number using the ADB, or is there another way to do this?
Also, what about the GSII_repair app, can I use it for my phone (infuse 4G)?
i had this problem last night where i flashed a rom. i return it to stock and imei showed up.
was having a imei" unknown error" and i backed up now on my computer.
ps ebay sales unlock service for 0.99$ if you didn't buy the code and just hacked it with hex or whatever
mine is already unlocked and it's permanent

T959V has same imei even under batt, but samsung and t-mobile reads as different phon. When I bought the phone, I didn't think anything was
wrong, until T-Mobile told me to try to us kies mini, to update, cause it read as firmware version un registered. So I called back, under technical support an the said my imei was showing up as a Samsung Focus which is a Windows 7 phone, so I go under settings scroll down to about phone, and under status it said's model number which states SGH-T959V Firmware version 2.3.6, Baseband Version T959VUVKJ6 KERNEL VERSION 2.6.35.7-T959VUVKJ1-CL611444, Build Number GINGERBREAD.VUVKJ6 ( WHI USED ODIN TO FLASH IT) iT USED TO HAVE FROYO ON IT . UNDER THE STATUS IT SAIDS PHONE NUMBER, SIGNAL,ETC. IT GIVES ME THE IMEI NUMBER, THE SAME NUMBERAS IF I PRESS ##06# AND UNDER TH BATTERY. WHY ISNT T-MOBILE OR SAMSUNG, OR AT&T SEEING THIS AS A SAMSUNG SGH-I917 , OHH THIS PHONE HAS BEEN ROOTED WITH VOODOO. HOW CAN I FIX THIS ANY HELP WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED
THANK YOU

Ah, stop yelling! I HAVE PROBLEMS READING ALL CAPS.
I think you need to tell us what the problem is again.
The only problem I see is that you say that the imei under the battery is not the same as the imei in the about -> status area of the phone.
I'm going to guess that you bought your phone off craigslist or something.
Beyond that, it's hard to follow what else you are rambling about. So, please ask your question again.

The imei for the phone is all the same 1.( ##06# ) is the exact as under the battery. now the imei is the exact as the settings, about phone, status, scroll down to see imei. The phone works good with a few glitches here and there, and is also unlocked, this was done by him first. Then I tried to have it flashed to gingerbread to fix it using odin, it did have fryo on it, no craigslist, just knew the guy, well thought I did anyway. Now he wont return any calls or emails.
Problem Samsung and T-Mobile and AT&T sees the phones imei as a Samsung focus sgh-i917. What do you think that happened to this? and how can I fix this issue? sorry for the rambling but I wanted to try to get as specific as I could as far as I know Samsung focus is a windows 7 phone, but this Samsung galaxy s 4g has android. sorry for all cap in earlier post thanks just for reading

[Q] Rooting SIM-Unlocked phone

Hi all,
I hope you can help me with the following:
Recently I bought an unlocked galaxy express i437 (the phone is originally from AT&T) and I am able to use it with other carriers with no problems but there is no way to change the technology (there is no "network mode" menu). Searching around, I found that it can be changed manually with code *#2263# and going through the sub-menus which is a pain to do.
I was thinking in rooting this phone and install CM10.2 in hopes of getting the network mode available directly from the settings screen but before I try that I need to know if the phone will remain SIM-unlock as it currently is or if there is a risk of having it bound to AT&T after the rooting process.
Thanks in advance.
Angel

The owner tells me my phone is not remembering the flash when it boots back up...He has also tried rooting my s4 and it is still doing the same thing. They tell me it might be a motherboard issue. what do you guys think

Does flashing a rom change the carrier of a SIM??? Read Below and please answer me!!!

Hi, I am going to explain something, but I know it would not make sense to you guys.
My friend who has a Samsung Galaxy S2 SM-T989D, got that phone from a friend, and I pluged the phone to my computer. The phone was with a cellphone carrier called Telus (In Canada), and the phone got bricked because I was trying to load a JellyBean rom on it because my mom used to have that same S2 (got it from the store, not from my friend shane friend) and my moms old S2 (same model number and everything) had Jelly Bean on it. 4.4. something. Anyways. Shanes phone got bricked and I found another software to flash on his phone and I used ODIN, and not his phone looks like its with T-Mobile (a US carrier). My question is, that, Since his phone was carrier locked with Telus before I flashed a rom and bricked it, does that mean since his phone looks like its from T-Mobile locked with T-Mobile? Does flashing a rom change the carrier of the SIM???

i have never seen a rom change the sim itself.
if you manage to flash another carriers rom, as it seems you have, and it doesnt brick your device (fairly common), the phone is going to report the new carrier because its coded into the rom.

Confusing galaxy s6 model

I have galaxy s6.I am so confused right now because my phone's settings says that the model of my phone is sm-g920f but when i boot into odin mode it says that my phone model is sm-g920p.I made a little research on that so i thought my original model is sm g920p and i am looking forward to update it from marshmallow to nouget. All stock roms in internet says different things like Region and 3 letter product code etc when i try to download it.I dont know if my phone is sprint version or not so is it okey if i install different region rom? with different product code?
I guess my phone is factory unlocked because i can use any type of sim card that used in my country (i live in asia)
Sorry English is my second language so i am struggling to write that (laughter)
Conclusion:My main question is---Can i flash any roms even if its spirint rom with 3 letter product code? or i must flash the exact rom that suits my device if so how can i find if my phone is verizon or spirint etc? By the way on my device there is no service provider name like spirint. The only word i got at the back of my phone is samsung. And the other few words that i have no idea about.
Please help me. :')

You can check the phone model by looking at the back of the battery.
