Hello, am I stupid or am I stupid?
On the call log I can see the calls I made or I was called but there is one problem: I cannot see exact time when the call was made!
For example: I was called 3 times by someone (3 missed calls) and it shows three down arrows (meaning missed) but for the time it says 3 hours ago. I cannot see at what interval I was called. Am I missing something or Google is simply a joke?

Tap the entry you see. You'll open a detailed view of that entry, which includes date/time of each call.
EDIT: Don't tap the contact picture... tap where the name/number is shown. That's different.

I knew I am stupid.
Thanks a lot!:good::good:
I am unable to view my call history. The call log is completely empty no missed calls, incoming or outgoing call details.

Hi,
When we are making a call from phone dialer, it shows the call history and matches any contacts or previously dialed number.
When i am already in a call, there are two options.
"Keypad" and "End Call"
If i select the "Keypad" option it takes me to the phone dialer, but this time the caller history is not displayed there, its a blank phone dialer.
Is there any way that we make it to display the call history even when we select the "Keypad" option during a call..
I need this, since i use some calling cards to call overseas, so, i need to call a number then enter the pin number and finally the actual phone number..
If the call history is shown there, i can use it to see the actual phone number which i need to call..and easily use it....
now i always need to note-down the numbers and then make a call... or switch between the History Tab and Dialer Tab to get the rite number.
Thanks and sorry for the long story.
Yes please i want some way to get this working too

OK, I'm not talking about just removing the star next to peoples names. All stars are removed but somehow people I have called or received a call from end up being in my favorites call log. I am not talking about the regular call log, you are able to clear this call log. I'm talking about the favorites call log. It does not have the option to clear it. It only gives the option to delete the contact, which is rediculous because if you do that it actually deletes the contact completely from your contact list. This is really frustrating, please help.

If you're on CM7 there's an option to do so. Just press menu then preferences while you're in Call Log. And the option is somewhere in the middle. Says something like "Hide Frequently Called."

I'm not sure what cm7 is, but I have a stock g2x that is unlocked. However, when I push menu while in call log, it only gives the option to "clear call log".
If anyone can help, that would be great. Thanks.
I saw in the market an app called Clear Frequently Called List or something along those lines. I used it a few times, the only drawback is it doesn't keep the list clear. Once you make a call to someone, the list repopulates itsself. I wish there was an app that would keep it clear (it bothers me too!)
I am sharing some profiles and projects which are very useful for me. The background is that I have installed tasker to minimize the apps for little things. I am not posting night profiles or profiles turning wifi off etc., so I think this thread will not be boring.
Here they are:
Project New Messages:
It has following profiles/tasks:
Show custom notification of new text
Open a Jellybean-like message reply popup upon clicking notification
If we decide to view message via default notification, clear the tasker's generated notification
Light up screen on receiving new text, if screen is locked.
The sceenshots are also attached for this project.
PROFILES:
Find phone, a "productive" GPS Locator solution.
When we send a text "findphone" to our number, following tasks are performed:
Set Wifi to off
Airplane mode on
GPS on
Get location via GPS (timeout 4 minutes)
Wait 4 minutes IF GPS location is not set yet
Airplane mode off
Wait 15 seconds (the time it takes for the network to be useable)
Send SMS to the number from which the findphone text had been sent (last incoming text number) (text will be: GPS [email protected] 00.000000, 00.00000)
Wait 15 seconds (to ensure the text has been sent)
Wifi on
Get Location via network (timeout 4 minutes)
Wait 4 minutes IF Network location is not set yet
Send sms again, now with the text like: Non-GPS [email protected] 00.000000, 00.00000
This turns wifi and mobile network off and turns gps on so the phone collects exact location data via satellites. after that, it turns the networks on and sends the exact gps location text. Then it also collects and sends the approximate gps data with the help of network, so the receiver will receive two texts. The format in which the texts are sent is made in such a way that if we copy the whole text of message and search in google maps's app, it will pinpoint to the exact location and not the nearest road.
Instant Missed Call Notify
Send text "Missed call from" followed by the number we had a missed call from, to a predefined number. (ignore the word instant)
Instant SMS forwarding
Forward all texts to a predefined number with text like "From [Name][Number]: [Text]
Send Email To Faraz
When composing an email, if we long press the search button, it will type in a part of email address, then press down then enter, hence selecting the first contact from the dropdown menu. Then it presses the down button like 4 times, then left then enter button (ALL ARE D-PAD FUNCTIONS), So, the send button is pressed. This is useful for facebook page admins and those who want to share every other picture via email to a contact.
And... Faraz is the name of page
About the image of browser, this is just a screenshot I wanted to share, just to send out a message that even a simple web browser-like "application" can also be made within two days of using tasker, so tasker is not too difficult and that the new users should give it a try
How come you make the screen go ON in #1

I did it with Secure settings plugin
Thank's man! I wish there was a specific thread for tasker where we could share profiles / scripts for tasker. It's a really underrated powerful tool that requires a bit of a learning curve, but once we get on with it, the possibilities are literally endless!

Yes, there are many useful implementations, but I haven't found posts other than those who teach about turning wifi off in car or turning volume down at night.
I will hopefully post another, better than this, implementation soon. It's about adding widget-like functionality on the lockscreen of HTC.
See this preview, I am still building it.
The text at the bottom is email's subjects followed by the sender's names. Text looks broken here because this image was uploaded in intention of getting help with this exact matter.

There are some tutorials here on xda onder Android category. A brief search came up with extended results in how to use tasker. Some of them are quite good.
But yes, I agree that the app itself should have an official tutorial for the basic / medium stuff, the rest we would exploit and figure out on our own
The stock call log on my OnePlus is **completely** terrible, useless trash..
It seems like anywhere I press on an entry in the log, it results in a call instantly being placed to that number. Rather than being given options like "add to contacts" or "view number," etcetera.
Additionally, the call log shows inaccurate, useless information about when the call took place (stuff like, 1 hour ago, or 3 days ago.) Utterly worthless.
Whether this is accomplished through a paid Play Store app, or if there's some way that I can reskin or change settings to make it work the way it should, I don't care. I need a resolution, I'm ready to chuck this thing into the ocean! So infuriating.
Phone is rooted, 64gb model, 11.0-XNPH44S
Thanks in advance!

Dude. You just don't know how to use it. From the main phone app screen press the small clock icon in the bottom left of the screen to access the full call log.

From the call log screen press the square contact icon on the left side of the phone number, this will open a pop-up, from there you can add the contact.
Additionally, the call log shows inaccurate, useless information about when the call took place (stuff like, 1 hour ago, or 3 days ago.) Utterly worthless.

From the call log screen just hit the small clock icon to the right of the phone number and another screen will open showing the exact date/time of the call, whether it was incoming or outbound, and exactly how long it lasted.

Don't worry, guys at huawei didn't forget for basic things , they are smart .. ppl don't read instruction manuals ..etc..
Thanks.
There is enough free space left from info to show call duration, not to go for second or third menu to see call duration.
hi, what about when it was a private number. i have tried going to where would usually find call log and duration time but it does not provide any record at all?
Hello I don't find old call history even I've never deleted it
