[Q] Google Glass with another BT device (car) - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone out here can help me. Would I be able to connect google glass and my car's BT stereo at the same time or will i have to forfeit one? I think this would be the only scenario that I ask the phone for a simultaneous connection and was wondering if it was possible.
Thanks!

[Q] Problems with Bluetooth

Anyone else having problems with the bluetooth not discovering devices, i cant seem to get my one x to discover my cars bluetooth for anything, then i take my other phone and it discovers it in one shot. Anyone have any ideas?
You're making the phone "Visible to all nearby Bluetooth devices" right?
What brand car stereo? If factory stereo, what car make?
yes i have that switched on, its a mitsubishi factory stereo.
Don't see anything in the systems files that would indicate Mitsubishi stereos being blacklisted. Have you tried any other Bluetooth devices? Maybe go to a stereo store and see if you can pair to other car head units. Could be a defect with the phone. Maybe others can chime in on whether they were able to get the phone paired with their Mitsubishi head units or not.
Can't connect anymore
I was able to connect with my One X with 1.73. Then I swapped my phone out at Best Buy and got a new one with 1.85. Now I can't anymore. I have a Kenwood in-dash nav.
I was having the same issues. It ended up being that there was too much interference in the area that I was (my garage) I tried it again in a open parking lot and it paired just fine. I had to search for devices from my phone while my unit was looking for my phone also.

[Q] Stream cam to droid?

OK so I picked up a cheap backup cam that I want to put on the back of my truck. I would like to make it stream to my phone. My thought is to get a bluetooth transmitter to attachto the cam and have it stream to my phone via BT. Is this possible? If so does anyone know of a BT transmitter that operates on 12v and that I could hook the cam to? I think the cam has an RCA output and I know you can get an RCA to 3.5mm jack adaptor to plug into a BT transmitter. What are your guys' thoughts?
Good luck with that one.
LCD screens can be found for pretty cheap if you can't find a BT solution. Personally, I think a dedicated LCD screen would be more convenient then making sure you have your phone out where you can see it and opened up to the proper app.
Actually I have a car docking station that I usually always have my phone in when I'm in the truck so the phone is usually where I can see it. I had hoped I could set up an app in such a way that it would automatically launch when it gets the bluetooth signal. Yeah probably dreaming but thought this would be a good place to ask. Figured if anybody know how to do this someone on here would.

Bluetooth syncing.

Hey all,
I'm planning to pick up a S6 next week but I have one quick question. I have used Samsung devices in the past and the one thing that pissed me off that was that if I had my headphones connected and I paired my device with my car or Bluetooth speakers the audio would continue to play through the headphones and I would have to disconnect them before audio would play via the Bluetooth device. Is this still the case with the S6?
I will try to remember to test this out. It might be BT-device-specific, though.

External, wireless microphone to record voice with video

Hello,
I tried to find a solution for my problem, but the only thing I get are wired microphones.
What am I trying to do?
I want to record some stuff for my blog, outdoors with my Samsung Galaxy, but I don't want to use the biuld in microphone, but an external one, that is wireless. So far couldn't find anything that would work for me. I have found a lot of solution for it, but only with wired microphones. Is there something out there that is wireless?

I have bluetooth headset with mic. If there are such these... I am sure other different gadgets are available via bluetooth. 10 meters isn't enough for you? Just be sure to find good recording quality mics. Not 10$ chinese stuff.
look for an audio transmitter. the have 3,5mm connectors for the microfone and can be paired with the phone. it will show up on the phone as an audio source
Thank you for your answers.
I am searching for a mic with a clip so that I can hide it under the jacket, and the micv will be on the collar. Can anyone suggest me any links to such products (on amazon etc.) ?

Is it possible to disable the audio jack?

Hello,
I have already asked this in the A50 forum section, but maybe here in a more general area I could be more lucky.
My son broke the audio jack in the smartphone then tried to remove it in a way I really don't want to know how reducing the smartphone in this way...
The smartphone is ok, but he detect earphones always connected, the only way to use it is using a bluetooth earphones, but I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the jack so I can use the smartphone "normally"...
