I wonder how many of you are sitting on the Indian 4 file leak and can not return because the bootloader EMK4 other assemblies ?
to date myself periodically climbed on the forums and looking for - how to get any other bootloader . Today I decided to try all the same a few of his thoughts and realize fortune smiled on me )
to reduce the need bootloader
a - backup system ( I had it done immediately after purchase through TWRP - creators of this glorious glory utilities of )
b - AP_N7100XXUEM16_CP_N7100XXEM16_CSC_N7100XAEM16_BY_WVAZ_DINK.tar (if I am not mistaken is the first leak 4.3)
and now I'm resuscitation normal bootloader ) )
1 - through Odin sews AP_N7100XXUEM16_CP_N7100XXEM16_CSC_N7100XAEM16_BY_WVAZ_DINK.tar (b)
2 - Root obtain , install TWRP Recovery
3 - Boot and restore a recovery of recovery system (a)
That's all))
so today I have two times with 4.3 rolled to 4.12 (bootloader recovered N7100ZSUEMK3), only one disappointed me a bit - in bootloader mode counter Knox remained 1.

Your interpretation is wrong.
Your OS is 4.1.2 not bootloader.
Your bootloader is MK3 which means it is newer. If you able to downgrade that then only it have meaning. If you successfully downgrade then you shouldn't have extra two lines on download mode.
So what happens with you is absolute normal.

There is nothing magic happened here, whatever you did is very well known. You tried to get rid of MK4 and now you have MK3 (which is even newer than MK4)
Anything you needs to do is just ask moderator to close thread, I don't think any further discussion needed here.

It's upto moderator but i am in favour of closing thread because title of thread 'downgrade bootloader' is misleading. There is nothing to surprise, you can downgrade to any rom as far as rom you are flashing doesn't have older bootloader.

Looks like the devs are not working on Root for 1.85

Arg....seems like the devs have moved on to getting s-off and coming out with new roms and have given up on finding exploits to root 1.85. The threads for root have been empty for a while now...wondering if its time to exchange the phone or return it and want for the sg3?
I know i'm not the only person frustrated for upgrading to 1.85....
I thought you could RUU back to 1.82 if you wanted and then root?

You can. That is what I did. It's pretty simple.
Revert to 1.82, root,
one click superCID
relock in fast boot
ruu 1.85
flash the unlock token from fastboot, it took me a few tries before it took
flash a recovery (twrp is working well for us right now)
and then use the recovery to flash the SU zip file. Then you're all set
Well this is how it works.
Once you update your RUU to 1.85 then install CWM (flashing utility in recovery) You will just flash the Rom you wish this will give you root.
Hope this clears things up?
I'm unclear on the rooted 1.85 but from what I gather you have to have done superCID hack before upgrading to be able to gain root. I believe you have to also have superCID to do ruu to a previous firmware. I may be wrong but if your on 1.85 without superCID I think your SOL for now atleast.

Yes, it's simply amazing how many people will write such non-useful crap that serves no useful purpose.
Look, we've all been there. We all had to learn from the beginning at some point.
I'm also sick of people lobbing ignorant comments my way when it comes to some of the things I do for others, especially here on xda. Case in point ...
Over the last three days I've prepared a 36-page manual that describes, in great detail, how to do virtually everything on a ONE X. Here's the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678308
It's sad when, after working an average of 70 hours per week as President an owner of my LED lighting company, plus having a 2-1/2-year-old at home, who's a wonderful challenge, plus having issues with my 82-year-old mother suffering from Alzheimers, I still MAKE time to help others, most especially here on xda. Why? Because it's the right thing to do. As I said above, we've all been there, and I'm quite sick and tired of so many others (THEY shall remain nameless), who can't spend a few extra seconds of their precious time to provide a better explanation than the simple "just do it in fastboot," or "use adb," etc.
Yes, I've now learned exactly what these two simple statements mean, but it really would have been nice, and far, far, far easier not just for me, but everyone if, instead of saying the following ...
flash it in fastboot
...they instead said something like ...
open a command prompt, navigate to your adb folder, and flash in fastboot using the following line:
fastboot flash recovery xxxxxxx.img
Wow, it took me an extra 10 seconds. Oh, my goodness, my fingers are now so sore. I think I'll head to the hospital. Be back later.
Peter
P.S. And don't anyone dare tell me, like someone did yesterday, that I should basically shut up and stop "sassing" (their word) the developers because they work so hard at what they do. You know, I probably work as hard if not MUCH harder than most of them, yet I will always try my very best to give some of my time to others. Again, as I said above, it's the right thing to do. You know, maybe if more people did just that, the world wouldn't be so full of self-centred, egotistical ingrates.

Wow. All that and I'm not sure it will even work. Makes me realize how nice it is to have devices like the Nexus that are not locked down as much as HTCs latest on AT&T.
It also seems like Samsung devices are not as difficult to deal with than HTC and the locked bootloader and S-On.

[2.20 Firmware] Remove Pesky root

All credits for this method goes to Rpomponio!!
be sure to thank him also!!
Are you on the lastest 2.20 firmware but still have pesky root, SuperCID and a unlocked bootloader. The following tutorial will help you remove those notrocious mods and get your phone back to a state approved by HTC and At&t!
Pre-requisites
Your original mmcblk0p4 that has not been modified.
Latest 2.20 firmware ruu
Adb/fastboot
Desire to not be able to do crap with your HTC One X
Now, that you have the pre req's together and you've decided that youll never have any fun with your One X again, lets get started.
Take your original mmcblk0p4 that you dd'ed to gain superCid, open it in your hex editor and verify it is the unmodified file. No SuperCid. Place it on the root of your internal sdcard.
Open up a command prompt, CD to your adb dir and type
adb shell
su
You now have those pesky root priveleges that we need to eraste(<<<inside joke)
Now type
dd if=/sdcard/mmcblk0p4 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
Ok that fixes the notrocious superCid mod exploited by the hackers. Next exit out of adb shell and navigate back to your adb folder.
Type
adb reboot bootloader
Once phone is in bootloader and you see fastboot usb appear on device type
Fastboot devices
You should see a readout with your devices s.n. Now for these last steps we want to make sure you have a CUSTOM recovery. This will ensure that you CANNOT revert back once you do the next steps.
Ok, now in cmd window type
fastboot oem lock
BAM! Your bootloader is now locked and the onky way to reboot device is by now running the 2.20 Ruu. Ruu will ensure any traces of pesky root are permanently erased. Also, your unlock token unfairly obtained from htcdev is now invalid and wilk not unlock your device. With no current 2.20 root exploit you can now rest assured your device meets the standards put forth by HTC and AT&T. You will now use your device only as directed by manufacturer and carrier.
Last step
Be sure to pitch in your extra cash to the s off bounty as you may very well be needing it:beer:

You sir are a great asset to this forum. These security risks are very scary, it's good to know there are people like you out there that are willing to help n00bs like me to keep the walls up around my phone as high as possible.
Quick question- Do you think it's safe to download apps from the Play Store? I have heard there are lots of bad viruses going around.
I'm now running this new condom mod. Maybe I should delete my xda account now to ensure my full protection.

I have to say, your statement "u cant screw up on a locked bootloader" is completely false. The majority of Atrix 2 bricks are a direct result of the locked bootloader with most of them being bricked by noobs. I frequent several different forums as i own several different devices and the Atrix 2 forum is the only one of those with an entire thread dedicated to bricked phones. Coincidentally, it is also the only device that I own that has a locked bootloader. So, I guess if you enjoy being limited and being locked down and treated like an idiot by Motorola, or if you have no intention of modding your phone, then the locked bootloader is what you want. If you're like me, and want to fully own the devices you spend your hard earned money on and do with the device as you please, then a locked bootloader is incredibly stupid (and occasionally infuriating).

RDL? Do you mean RSD lite? If so, of course it won't be flashed in RSD lite. RSD lite is for official firmware only. You use BMM to flash everything else. If you're tired of the "silly games" try reading a little bit to avoid making such simple mistakes. No offence intended. The #1 mistake you can make with this phone is not taking the time to read and research. Again, the direct result of ^^^ the locked bootloader.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

i agree to what ur saying about the boot loader being locked but the maximum damage u can do is a soft brick when you use BMM....
so what im trying to say is that its noob friendly as in you dont have to worry bout hard bricks if your using a locked bootloader wid BMM
maximum damage is a boot loop or a rom that maynot work
"AND I QUOTE ITS NOT A GOOD THING THAT THE BOOTLOADER IS LOCKED BUT ITS EASIER TO FLASH FOR A NOOB "
There's value & truth to both sides. As I get older I'm getting less adventurous. My concerns are that my MB865 is unlocked to freeze programs with TBP. I used to uninstall, now I freeze. And I am very thankful for BMM so I can make Nandroids. That's about it now for me.

I can see what you're saying to a certain extent. I've flashed the FXZ so many times now that it has become routine. Meanwhile my Skyrocket with its unlocked bootloader was only on the stock ROM for less than an hour on the day I got it and I've never had to flash back and start over with it like I do with my A2. Coincidence? I think not.
That being said, I've always felt that people that don't want, or haven't the ability, to mod

If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

You don't need to unlock bootloader to flash a ROM on OPO bit before asking just simply do some reading. Check general tab sticky How to too etc...

I'm perfectly capable of searching, I didn't get to RC status by being a n00b. The point is that you're making a positive assertion, and those usually need to be accompanied by some kind of evidence, otherwise your claim carries no weight.

Look for gizchina method to change color os rom to cm11s, its very easy and noob proof method, just google for it. And no, you dont have to unlock bootloader if you dont want or dont know how to do.

Actually you can flash custom roms with locked bootloader just using fastboot boot command then when you are in the recovery you can flash what you want, roms, mods, supersu, etc.

Yeah I know, I never said you couldn't, I was just asking that the other user elaborate a bit. You've done it for him, so thanks.

Thread lightly cleaned of unnecessary comments...If you have nothing nice to say or cannot contribute with respect, than I suggest you go elsewhere. No time for drama in development.
Final warning. Be nice or get out.

Still not sure if this is to do with the 10 post rule or not.
Devs have a choice of allowing users under 10 posts to post in the dev threads now. But if they dont allow it, the user gets sent to q&a and the Dev PM's about the new thread.
I just wouldn't expect the thread to look like this. It's not clear that this is related to the 10 post rule. It reads as if a dev has turned on a general "q&a" thread instead.
Also if it is 10 post rule, is there a new thread for each under 10 poster trying to ask a question or will they all get sent to 1 this one thread?
Was talking about this earlier with @Toledo_JAB

Yeah, if it is the 10 post rule, it's left on as default. I guess it is then. Lets see if other questions come here for 10 posters.

I'm curious how it works too.
Sure beats getting pm'ed for questions from people under 10 posts that would be way better off out to the community anyways

Are you sure you are using the correct radio? If you just got it, chances are it might still be on a old version.
Flash the latest official version or the official Dev preview to get the latest boot loader and radio.
Also you can unlock and lock your boot loader in minutes

Thought there was a flashable one there. If you got the radio then it should have the working APN.
