[Q].What's better in bootloader 1.30 with Radio 10U than in the 1.28

Yesterday, I downgrade my HTC Mozart to 7004 Rom with Bootloader 1.28 in order to unlock it.
The process of unlocking was succeeded and getting the last update 7392 finally without any problem.
Before downgraded my bootloader version was 1.30 and the Radio software version was ended with 10U, but now the bootloader still 1.28.
Q1: Can any one tell me what's better in bootloader 1.30 with Radio 10U than in the 1.23/1.26/1.28?
Q2: How to get HTC own update to update my bootloader 1.28 to 1.30?
I am confusing now to return back to 1.30 Rom or to stay with the unlocking old 1.28 bootloader.

[Q] Latest official ROM

Hi.
I'm looking for the latest RUU ROM (WWE or Europe) for our Desire S. I want to completely remove anything from phone and back to the factory state (after that official unlock and root).
Which version is the latest one?
Greetings.

The latest is ICS RUU 14.01.401.2
But the better way (that will keep your warranty, that is void by htcdev.com) will be:
S-OFF (downgrade without using htcdev if your current bootloader is 2.x or go straight to revolutionary.io if it is 0.98.x)
Change the bootloader to 7.xx and flash 4EXT recovery touch
Flash the ICS RUU (keeping your hboot and recovery) and root it
For each step there is a dedicated Guide that you can find in the Index thread
Good luck :good:
How to change bootloader to 7.xx (as you wrote) or ENG bootloader (as in index topic)?
Does flashing via official RUU ICS file will keep my S-OFF and 7.xx/eng bootloader?
Is the 7.xx bootloader same as ENG bootloader? Which one is better and why?

[Q] Need S-OFF for Sense 5?

I bought a new HTC One S (s4 version according to the seller) which I will receive tomorrow. Now my question is:
I'd like a rom with Sense 5 on it. For example, can I just flash MaximusHD (JB 4.2.2 + Sense 5) after following these instructions?:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427
Or do I need to follow these S-OFF instructions after following the above instructions before I can flash MaxmimusHD or any other Sense 5 rom?:

Thanks!
Bump! Anoyone?
Yes, you need to unlock your bootloader, then get S-off and then upgrade firmware to use sense5 android 4.2.2 rom.
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
S-OFF is not required for costom roms. It's just helpfull after flashing rom. With S-OFF you dont have to flash boot.img file in fastboot mode.
no but for maximus rom, you need to flash the leaked firmware included in the maximus.zip which requires s-off

Flash 4.3 XT1034 Radio on 4.4

What are the correct fastboot commands to flash just the radio?
I want to flash the 4.3 radio while running 4.4.

AT&T HTC One X-Help Updating hboot 1.14 ViperXL Rom to Lollipop (EVITA Model)

Its been a while since I've done anything on my AT&T HTC One. I'm still on 1.14 unlocked bootloader and an old ViperVL 3.2.2 Rom. I want to upgrade to Lollipop CM12 so I've done a lot of research and I wanted to make sure I'm doing it right before starting.
This is what I believe I need to do:
1. Update TWRP to v2.7.1.0 or higher to support new ROM
2. Get s-off in the bootloader using firewater
3. Once S-OFF is done, put phone in fastboot mode and run the RUU 3.18 JellyBean update (Its my understanding we need the JB bootloader for Lollipop custom ROM to work?)
4. Flash TWRP v2.7.1.0 back via fastboot
5. Go into recovery and flash New Rooted CM12 Rom
Before I start this method I also have a few questions:
1. Does my above steps seem right?
2. I'm having a hard time finding a working 3.18 RUU link. Most of the links on here are dead now. Is the RUU update a required step to jump from ViperXL 3.2 (bootloader v1.14) to Lollipop based roms? If its required, I found the OTA JB 3.18 update. Can I use the OTA version instead?
3. I've read that as long as the bootloader is already unlocked with S-OFF, I won't lose S-off or the unlocked bootloader from the RUU. Is this correct or will I need to unlock bootloader (Via HTC's dev site) and root again after using the JB RUU?
Thanks in advanced for the help with my questions.
