Mass Effect Infiltrator compatibility ? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi !
I bought this game when I had my Galaxy S2 and it was not compatible with the Nexus 4 for some reasons, probably because the game has not been updated yet...
So I'd like to know if anyone tried to download this game on their Nexus 5 and if the Play Store still says it's not compatible with the device.
Thank you.

nope, it isn't

Haaa sh*t... I only paid 99 cents for this game but still, I'd like to finish it someday... I guess I'll have to wait until I buy a Nexus 10 2013 to play it... unless it's not compatible either... Damn E.A, do something !!!

The Nexus 7 2012 wasn't compatible, I don't know about the 2013 version or the Nexus 10, but as I'm never gonna buy anything but Google Nexus products (price and performances are unbeatable to me)... I assume I've wasted 99 cents

nexus ftw yeah thats really cruel! :crying:

It seems there's a new version compatible with the Nexus 7.
Unfortunately, Nexus 5 still is not compatible.
I installed it on my Nexus 5 from a Titanium backup done on my previous Galaxy Nexus...
I just wished the Nexus 5 was shown the same love as the Nexus 7...

Has anyone tried it on a kitkat Nexus 7?
Could a side load for Nexus 5 from a Nexus 7 work?
I don't have a Nexus 7 though. Can someone test this hypothesis?

Usually the issue with games not being compatible is screen resolution.

[Q] Bought the Nexus 4 for GF. Bad move?

SOLVED!!
GF decided she wants to buy the N5 so I sold the N4 on craigslist!
If you are trying to keep costs down. The nexus 4 is fine..
Thanks. Is the nexus 4 still considered a relevant phone for at least another year?

I think so, as it will be supported by Google for at least another year and some new phones like the One Max have still almost the same processor built in.

Good point. from what I understand, the only reason why Google stop supporting the Nexus S, is because it did not have enough RAM. Google is pretty good on their software updates on their older flagships. I think this is a good buy..
if worse comes to worst, I can always sell the phone for a pretty good price. I notice these Nexus phone hold their value very well.
u bought it already and not bad choice if ur gf is into gaming and stuff or into phones n5 would be better even im thinking to keep n4 but u know... I JUST CAN'T DO IT!!! it isn't out yet anyway dont worry: n4 is great phone

If the Nexus 5 wasn't just about to be released and I wasn't an upgrade-aholic, the Nexus 4 would be my go-to phone. It's that good.
You probably should have asked this in the Nexus 4 forum.
It's a Nexus, Google will support it for more than another year. They only stopped supporting the two earliest Nexus since it lacks the hardware to run the new OS and ability to receive such large over the air updates (low ram and too small /system partition to hold the system files). The Nexus 4 is a powerful device I wouldn't be surprised if it'll get updates for atleast 2 more years. If it wasn't for needing the best spec or playing high graphical games, the Nexus 4 will probably work fine for another 3 years. It still get Android version earlier than any other non-Nexus devices, although the battery life and camera quality might not be up to standard anymore. Gaming is only a problem because of the thermal throttling which kicks in at 39*C, but if you flash custom kernel you can raise it to 60*C or higher.
The Nexus 4 does have Band 4 LTE that works with T-Mobile if you flash the LTE compatible baseband.
The Galaxy Nexus is still being supported by Google as of now, so I think the Nexus 4 will be good for quite a while.

I'm getting the N5. My GF has a crappy HTC One VX and I got her a Nexus 4 16GB for 240 out the door. She is paying me the difference after I sell her VX.
I know there is no LTE on the N4 but She doesn't use much mobile data... She only has 300 mb on her plan.
I'm going to be flashing CarbonRom and Franco kernel on it and let her tinker with it. Shes starting to get into this android thing lolol. She rooted her locked bootloader Samsung tablet herself lol.
After taxes and shipping the N5 would come out to about 400 bucks. That's 160 more than the N4...
Now the main question is, how does the N4 compare to new phones out now? Does it still hold it's own? Was this a good buy for her? I mean we are trying to keep costs down for her.
Mind you, I have never even held a N4. Its still in the mail

Where did I say I'm "making" her pay me back?
You must be mistaken. She wants the Nexus 4 and doesn't want to go through the hassle of selling her current phone: so ill sell it for her. She is buying her own phone with her own cash. Her VX is irritating her. I'm just doing all the buying and selling and moneywork.
Well I have some news: she decided to get the Nexus 5 as well. I sold the Nexus 4 on craigslist and made profit.

Na man the N4 sounds like a great phone for her, she doesn't sound like a power user so i don't think she would see much difference between the N4 and the N5 and the N4 will get all the least updates for the next year or two so its all good man.
I agree with lqrt here for the cost the nexus is fine. If she's getting into the whole android thing " jealous by the way" she will enjoying the nexus 4 because there are lots and lots of hacks for it now if you got a nexus 5 it would take a good while for alot of hacks to come to soak up like a sponge with water lol

That is a pretty general question that is hard to answer, because it is depends on what you value. The simple answer is that the N5 is basically one-year newer in terms of the hardware inside, has a little bigger screen, and supports 4g LTE. There are a lot of other minor differences, so I suggest googling Nexus 5 vs Nexus 4, because there are a few articles already out there that discuss the differences. More impressions will probably follow as more people get their hands on the Nexus 5.
Either device can do all the cool smartphone stuff you could want them to do right now, but the Nexus 5 will be a little more future-proof since the hardware in it is a year newer and it will get system updates longer. Whether that and the other differences are worth the $100 difference is up to you.
Of course get the newer phone ... what a silly question

If you like/need latest and greatest, or any of the features unique to the N5 are must-haves, then go for it. If not, the N4 is still a fantastic device and will be for a few years yet, and may save you some money. A good condition N4 can be had for about half the price of a new N5.
I find the screen to be the perfect size for me. I did have a note 2 which was too big. I really like the size of this phone.

Well, I'd say you can hardly get a totally unbiased opinion in here since most of us are here for the Nexus 5. We wont even know it if we're being biased. How about get some opinion from tech media such as Cnet, Engadget, etc. Oh, dont go to The Verge, cause that's iVerge.

i think i'll go with nexus 5, but some friends told me is good the HTC one too, which do you prefer within nexus 5 and htc oe?
also do you advice the 16 gb nexus 5 black/white or the 32 gb nexus 5 black/white? is the 32 gb really worth or 16 gb is enogh??
@killomp if your going to get the HTC ONE, Just wait for the second Gen. The NX5 is better then OG ONE in almsot every way behinds viewing angle and possible light bleed and not being made of aluminum (the one is also an uncomfortable tall device to hold IMHO)

SO, to put it in perspective, you've pretty much got better everything. I like the Nexus 4. It's got a great feel to it but the glass back kind of puts me off (even though it was fixed in later models). It's got last year's best tech whereas the nexus 5 has this year's best tech or pretty much about as good as you'd need it really...
For me, when you take hardware out, I think the Nexus 5 has a much better feel. It's slightly curved back is really enjoyable and comfortable as opposed to the Nexus 4's flat back. I prefer the matte finish instead of the Glass back. It's also a lot more low profile. I personally prefer the Nexus 5 a lot more. Better hardware and a more comfortable feel for me.
Basically it really comes down to your budget. They're both entirely usable phones with great hardware that is more than sufficient for running pretty much anything. If you feel you could blow that extra $100 then by all means, go for the Nexus 5. But you can't go wrong with the Nexus 4 either

I just saw your last post
The HTC One is beautiful. Just got about the most premium feel to any phone i've seen. But I'm pretty sure the HTC One will cost a lot more dollars than the Nexus 5 or Nexus 4. In Canada at least, it's like $300-$400 CAD difference
If you can afford it, get the LG G2 instead. It's similar to N5 but with much better battery life

[Q] Nexus 5

Hi, recently with the Android L Announcement I decide to buy a Nexus 5 Phone, I have a note 3 right now. but I want to have a second device. So here is my question:
Should I buy the nexus 5?
I´m asking this because I think there will be a Nexus 6, so should I buy it or wait for the next version of nexus?. or what do you think for Moto G as an alternative for the Nexus?
Thanks.

If my foresight right then you wont see any nexus 6 for about a year. Next coming device will be tablet which will replace nexus 7 (2012) and/or Nexus 10 around late autumn or early winter. Then after that in 2015 from may to july a phone will gets released to replace nexus 4

HAHAHA worst....rumor.....ever
IF, and i mean IF, a Nexus 6 is to be released, it will be around October or November, like the other Nexus phone releases.
If you have SOLID proof to say other wise, please make me feel stupid. Otherwise, keep in mind rumors are rumors.
Don't buy a Nexus 5 just because of the "L" developer preview.
If you want the nexus 5 for android L then just wait for it's release, it's the most probable moment for the announcement of a "nexus 6"

Which phone after a Nexus 5 ?

Hi everyone !
I actually own a Nexus 5, which I'm using since he's out. The thing is that I'd like to change, I really enjoy this phone, but the main problems for me are photos and battery. And of course the ''need'' to own newer devices.
I looked for some devices and I found some I'm attracted by, these are Samsungs : Note 4 or S5/S6, I don't know.
For now this is the Note 4 that I'd like. So I'm asking you to know if some of you own one of this devices and tell me how you feel with it after a Nexus 5 ?
Also are they as easy as a Nexus 5 to tweak ? (flash rom/kernels/unlock bootloader and root)
I know that they take longer to get the last updates, but I trust in XDA devs who can port everything in a day haha. They're like magicians for me.
And by the way don't be shy to discuss about other phones and advice me, I may discover new phones.
Thanks and have all a nice day [emoji1]
I went from the Nexus 5 to the One plus one and then to the Nexus 6 and now I bought a nexus 5 again. I love my nexus 6 ,and that is and will be my daily driver but for the days when I just want something smaller, the Nexus 5 will be there. I wish I never got rid of it and I found a deal on refurb one with a one full year of service from freedom pop for $200. So I thought why not.
---------- Post added at 03:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:23 PM ----------
What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't feel a hurry to switch phones and the Nexus 6 is the bomb.
I'd go for a Sony. Probably a Z3 Compact. Is what I'm planning to buy anyway. Very lightweight skin with good battery life, looks and camera ?
I think I'm going for the xperia z4 when it's out next

So the rumors go. We'll know more in September if Google follows their normal release pattern. They'll have to file with the FCC by then if they plan on releasing in October/November. Right now it's believed Huawei will be the manufacturer but it's still way to early to now for sure.
