Hi,
I've been using the same old rom for a year or so (slim rom or sth). Lately i tried updating it to something else, but I get this when I start installing rom in TWRP: Error executing updater binary in zip (...). It works the same way every rom i tried.
UPDATE:
Kinda looks like i can install slim rom 4.3 (so i suppose i could install any 4.3), but none of 4.4 works.
Best regards.
Tried to flash CWM recovery from rommanager app, but it said "Failed to flash recovery...".
please help
Download latest recovery from http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-s/development/crespo-philz-touch-t2284670
Then try to flash the ROM. It seems your recovery is very old.

@smit.sanghavi is right.
You need KitKat compatible Recovery. Update your recovery and then try to flash the ROM.
K guys, wanted to try all you said, but there's another problem.
I discovered my nexus isn't rooted. Bootloader unlocked, but any root checker says its unrooted (of course it was before...). So I'm trying to reroot it but when im connecting my phone via usb in bootloader windows 7 doesn't recognize the device. When the phone is connected in recovery or in normal usb debugging mode it recognizes it as adb android, looks good to me. I go back to booloader and i get "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" in Devices.
Installed the drivers on few different ways.
So.... what now ?
UPDATE: solved
Hey guys,
Im having problem to revert from CM12 to new Lollipop-version or Stock in general. When I try to flash with flashtool the package a get an error message that it can´t open the bundle.
Im sure this is an common problem but I have tried almost everything but it wont work. I got an CM-based recovery (never seen it before, its not like CWM). I have all the necessary drivers and I using an win 7 computer.
Any idea? Should I try to flash an ordinary cwm and then try to flash stock firmware again?
I have also backed up my DRM-keys, any good with them? I have unlocked bootloader and of course rooted device.
Could really use some help right now
restore to .93, root with giefroot, restore keys, reboot and flash lollipop. if you want root, flash a lollipop zip which you can find somewhere around here.

Restore to .93? How can I restore key? Right now its just matters with the stock firmware, root comes later
You can flash the stock pre-rooted ZIP from Android Development Section through your recovery instead of using flashtool. You won't have to go through the whole rooting process again. If the CM recovery is failing, flash/replace it with TWRP/CWM/xZDualrecovery (tutorials are in their respective threads).
If you want to use your DRM keys, relock your bootloader (after flashing a stock (based) ROM) and restore them with the tool you used for backing them up. You will regain all the functionality.
Did you try different .ftf files with flashtool?

Got a huge problem!
I tried to flash over with Flashable stock 23.1.A.0.690 (5.0.2) pre-rooted with XZ dualrecovery but it didnt work. I got an Cyanogen recovery so I removed it and replaced it with cwm instead but now I have no OS at all and I really need help to get stock again
Edit: When I try to flash the stock fw I get this error message: "Cannot open bundle. Flash operation canceled"
use flashtool.

I already use flashtool when I get this error message. I also tried to delete the "prepared" folder but it didnt work. I try right now to flash in fastboot mode but it doesnt seems to work. I think there is a problem with drivers.

17/003/2015 17:03:38 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
I have already downloaded the usb drivers for fastboot and flashmode but it doesnt work anyway.
It looks like whether the drivers aren't installed correctly (did you reboot your pc at least once?) or you may get the whole connect - disconnect - connect in flashmode procedure wrong.
Hello everyone!
I am newbie there so If I did something wrong then I am sorry.
I have a big problem so I so need your help (in sos?).
I am trying install back EMUI 3.1 cause 3.1 was faster and power saver than 4.0.3 so I would to install back 3.1.
I found a zip file which is contain update.app. It has been downloaded from huawei's site (c1.huawei.com). So maybe it is an offical package
I am trying install EMUI 3.1 since yesterday.. But I always got an error (Software install failed). If I install an rollback android 6 to 5 then my recovery is dies. I did everything I saw on xda and other forums.. My phone is unrooted, bootloader is unlocked everything.. I so need EMUI 3.1. :crying: Please a helpful person.
Thanks,
Balázs.
Solved
I hopefully solved the problem. Solution: Extract img files from .UPDATE app and flash it with fastboot.
You need flash boot recovery system and cui (or what is that) img with fastboot.
Now my problem is I do not have IMEI on 3.1 but on custom 4.0.3 rom I have that. So my SIM card is not reading I can't connect to network. Anyone can help me in SOS?
Hello guys. I really need a very important help. I need to flash stock ROM 4.1.2 La Fleur onto my Samsung Tab 2 7.0. The issue is I want to flash using TWRP Recovery and I don’t have a working USB cable to connect to my computer. All I have is a SD Card and a Windows 10 computer to download stock rom. Anybody have a stock rom download and anybody know why when I use TWRP to flash the rom from recovery, it keeps saying MD5 file not found? I disabled zip file verification so I don’t know what’s the issue

Install using odin
So I am trying to install a custom firmware on my j7 prime ( g610f 64G ) phone .
I used twrp 3.1.1 and odin 3.13.1 . The issue is that after I wiped the old system , I went to the twrp recovery mode to install the new firmware from my SD card , but it appears like ( 0mb ) although the card was working fine on the device .
So I tried to install the firmware using Odin instead but it always stucks or fails .
I have tried a different versions of twrp but most of them didn't wrok , else I have tried to reinstall the stock firmware using odin but it stucks too .
Any ideas or methods to install a firmware , I don't care about the costum firmware anymore , I just want to use my phone again !
(Else I tried to install the firmware using the stock recovery mode but nothing works .)
You can try to re-flash the Stock ROM by means of ADB Sideload method.
Code:
adb devices
adb reboot sideload
adb sideload <STOCK-ROM-ZIP-FILE>
