There we go again ... ,,saw that on iphone,, ehhh why not buy one then ? Anyway, to give you an alternative and without being so bitter, try out FPSECE (i recommend the full version which you will automatically get if you donate 5 euros, not that much for a great app) you can find it here :http://fpsece.net/ (along with all the instructions in the forum)
You can play games like Quake 2 (if you like shooters) or almost any other PS1 games - developers there do a fantastic job. All you need are some .iso images.

I already have FPSece which I think is great but just because I want COD on my phone doesn't mean I want an Iphone its a game I'm after not an apple piece of crap. Thanks for the advice tho. To be honest tho the graphics on the COD Nazi Zombies game were simply amazing and as the spec of Xtrakt. If Xtrakt can just on the HD2 theres no reason a version of the COD game couldn't be created for it. Would also like to add I already have the supporters version running with multitouch and G Sensor capability.
It being possible on the hardware doesn't mean it will be developed for the hardware.
It's just life....just suck on it and move on.

Was only asking a simple question. Don't think some of you retards understand theres wanting something for your phone thats on another but not wanting the other phone. I see this all the time peoples negative responses saying why don't you just get an iphone but I love my HD2. Theres just some things that should be possible I would like to add to it without getting an Iphone as i'm really not interested in them.
I agree, I played this on an iPhone and was amazed by it, the PS1 emulator is brilliant, but it doesnt compare to playing Nazi Zombies! and its very intuitive and works very well!

That's because most devs only see $$$ signs with the iPhone platform and the general media thinks that the current Windows Mobile 6.5(.x) is basically a "dead in the water" platform, hence the lack of interesting games taking advantage of newer hardware.
If you want good stuff on your WM phone, bug the devs. Otherwise you're stuck with jumping on the iPhone bandwagon, sadly.

Hey Jammie_1989 chill up. There's some people who are too stereotype or more like 'handphone+racist' = "phonecist?".
LOL nvm about that, only way to get your game is either to ask or beg the developer to make on WinMo or wait for a genius to port it.
I agree, I've seen some brilliant IPhone apps. However I've not ever considered getting one. In fact I get quite insulted when people see my HD2 and say "is that an IPhone?" to which I reply "No it fu*king isn't"..
It's no wonder developers create tons for the iPhone, it's an easy way to cash in. Just a shame WM is left behind in this aspect a little. I still wouldn't change my HD2 for any other phone, especially iPhone.
I think it's unfair of some people to insult someone, or say "go get an IPhone" just for simply asking about a game or program. Granted a lot of HD2 users seem to be ex IPhone users, I've seen posts where people just seem to want the HD2 exactly like the iPhone. Some people on XDA get very touchy when you mention the iPhone, wonder why...
Just annoys me when they say 'Go buy an Iphone' If I had wanted one I would have one lol Not exactly a helpful answer.

And it's a very simple answer. You want it doesn't mean you'll get it. That's life. Mainly for marketable reasons, but what's the point of explaining it to you as you don't seem to have a grasp of proper language.
And since you call people retards for telling you the facts of life, maybe it's only fitting that I can tell you as a fact that you'll NEVER see this game on HD2 for sure, in the similar form as on the Iphone. I bet my life on it.

THERE IS NO WAY YOU'LL GET THAT GAME ON HD2. Unless the conglomerate that developes it decides to throw a bone to Winmo, which will be the day hell freezes over.
Put it nicely to you, you don't get it. Tell you the facts, you brand them as unhelpful. WTF do you want from us? We don't exactly poop COD Nazi Zombies out our arses just because you want it. Grow some common-sense please.

Go get an iphone isn't a valid responce. Wasn't like I was asking the question how can I make my phone be an Iphone. It's like Xbox and PS3 the game will play on both but I want the Xbox not the PS3. Shouldn't be to hard and was asking a simple question. I liked your responce about FPSece as It is good but doesn't match the quality of the COD game on Iphone.
This guy has come here to ask a simple question and he ends up getting flamed! What's wrong with some people!?!? This forum has some very very good and helpfull people, It is also full of people who have nothing better to do than sit and go through posts looking for people to flame.

I agree,
Too many *kids* on here get stiff when someone says they want specific soft that may be apple related.
God damn it.
There may have been some sort of equiv game from other publisher or other ideas - or using Call of Duty on PS1 emulator....Or just to say "yay I love Nazi zombies"
- Personally I play world at war Nazi Zombies (PS3) and I love it. Would love something similar on my phone.
There are countless replies that could be given.
Go get an iphone is a childish, pointless, unhelpfull and flaming reply.

all i have to say is i love my phone and i have an xbox 360 but the thing is i want it to be portable it is an awsome game and there is no reason that it shouldnt be on windows mobile...
I checked the first 3 pages of the forums and didn't see this posted.
Here are some upcoming home replacements for Android. One name that should be familiar to us old WinMo users and a "newcomer."
http://www.tat.se/home/
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pre...gs-support-for-symbian-and-android-along.html
they both look pretty cool but I think tathome looks like it might be a little more to my liking.
SPB isnt out yet, is tathome available yet, i didnt see a download.
+1 for TAT home it looks like it could be NICE I checked out the video (good music and all ;-)) here: http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/15/tat-home-the-gesture-powered-3d-home-screen-your-android-device/
I used SPB Mobile Shell 3.x with my Touch Pro and I wasn't too impressed.
*** EDIT ***
Here is a video of Mobile Shell http://pocketnow.com/tech-news/mwc-video-spb-mobile-shell-50-on-android IMO Mobile Shell is suffering from what it always has LAG!!!!! Even on the N1 it looked slow, maybe because it's BETA.

Hrm, TatHome looks like what I envisioned Android 'should be' , I'm liking the look it quite a bit!! Next: to find out whether it really runs that smoothly on my Hero. 3d and graphics are great, but if it slows my phone down in the slightest its automatically going to get turned off.

Yes there are a lot of different spec'd Android phones out there but I think he is referencing the fact that Android apps are easier to "warez" than the apps on other OS's. All you have to do is sign up for the paid app extract the .apk post it somewhere. Also any dev can try to "reverse engineer" the app, change a few components and BAM it's on the Market as their "original" creation. Just my .2 cents

that is correct. when swype was first leaked I was actually talking to them about the bennifits of releasing it through the market instead of through manufacturers and one of the biggest concerns that was brought up was the fact that security for apps is too lax. now dont get me wrong everyone knows that for every security mesure there is always a way around it but android security just sucks thats why for the most part people afften have a free version and a donate version. if people can try it and like it then they are more likely to buy it rather than just pirate it. setcpu is a perfect example of this. sure the dev could have made it a protected app (but being a member here at xda he probably knew it was pointless) but he offers it free here and then if you like you can buy from the market to donate to help keep him developing.
so basically all im saying is...ok we all (me included) have pirated apps but if you like the app make sure to go buy it from the market and help keep these people developing for us.
I know I went off on a rant there but without intrest in app development this great platform will fail.
I might be the only here without pirated apps then haha. I did have CoPilot once, but I didn't like it much so I got rid of it. The only time I ever use something pirated is to try it. If I like it and feel the developer should get credit, then fine, I'll donate/buy it.

same here the only thing I am using pirated right now is swype but thats only becuase there is no way to buy it. but thats also because im a cheap ass and maily use free apps unless I really find something useful but to date the only things that I have bought are setcpu and beautiful widgets. im trying cachemate now but it really doesnt seem to be very helpful. I wish I knew a little more about programing there is an app for the iphone that I would love to have on my hero.
i played around with "pandahome" some yesterday. it seems beta right now but they are apparently coming out with pandahome2 soon. it's a good idea, just not quite finished yet. (fc's and whatnot)
anyway you might go check it out (if your feeling froggy).
lots of options and skins ect.ect.ect.
marketplace. free.
So, I am interested in making a soundboard for the movie super troopers... Just curious if anyone has any experience making soundboards? Or, would I be better off pulliing a soundboard apk from my phone and just swap out the sounds I want? If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!
I don't have any soundboard experience...
But just taking an apk and replacing sounds is definitely not something someone should suggest.. Pulling OS information and cooking roms is a little different than taking an app and releasing a dev's work with different .wmv's, that's a little thing called plagiarism..
But if you ask the dev prior to that, I guess it would be ok.. You just need his source..

Not advanced at all. There's a reason there are so many soundboard apps on the market. It's just about the easiest, most no-brainer app you can write that actually does anything. Even if you've never even written a basic "Hello World" app, it shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 hours running through the tutorials on the android sdk site to be able to whip up a soundboard.

Oh, I don't think he meant anything derogatory by it. I've been writing code for 20+ years, but I'm still doing a couple crazy simple Android apps just to get myself familiar with the new platform.
There's nothing wrong with writing simple apps as a learning experience. Even experienced coders have to do it from time to time when learning a new language or new platform.
The only part that's a little ridiculous is posting these "Java 101 homework assignments" on the market. Does the world *really* need 5 dozen collections of SpongeBob sound clips?
(No offense intended to anybody, but people should maintain a sense of reality about how appealing their app really is to the general public... I think it's awesome when people post things like this with source code and complete Eclipse project files so that other people can use them as a learning tool, I just question whether simple stuff like this really belongs on the market as a "product". It tends to clutter up my search results when I'm looking for useful stuff....)

What he said! Wasn't making fun of anyone wanting to learn or anything like that a all. Hell, I'm working my way through the "how to make a calculator" guide, myself, lol! I know jack about coding! I was more referring to the fact that some of these guys don't seem to ask themselves weather or not the world really needs "Rosie O'donnel: Bathroom Sounds v.17" before they slap it in the market. I tried to be clear that I wasn't picking on the OP, guess I could have been more explicit? Sorry if there was confusion.
I havent taken any offense here... some soundboards are retarded, and I will be the first to agree... I am just shocked that, with the amount of 1 liners in the movie super troopers, there arent any soundboards for it... (of course, I may be biased, as some people may think this movie was stupid, but I loved it lol)... I have no programming experience, only video/audio editing experience... I found the link "azyouthinkeyeiz" maybe 20 minutes before he replied to this thread, and am trying that tutorial... I am definently looking forward to learning more, and if anyone out there has any websites they can suggest for learning programming, I am more than down to learn!

Now what I want to know is this: how can I get them ads on there like all the other apps have? I can send a zip if someone feels spunky enough to help me
So after searching, and doing a lot of research I still haven't found a decent auto tuning application. Were are the devs at?? Im willing to pay, and im sure there are plenty of more people who are. With the release of the "I am t-pain" app on the iphone, android hasn't been able to keep up. I love the **** out of my evo, but I feel like there should be more in the app market. Theres no good drum apps, no auto tune, no good keyboard/synth apps, no recording apps. Why are we slacking so hard here. Thank you, even if they made an app that could port iphone apps that would be amazing. Or even make apps on the iphone compatible with bump, cause I noticed you cant put apps in bump on the iphone like you can with droid. As someone who's actually tried to get something like I Am T-Pain working on Android, I can tell you the reason you don't see more music apps like the ones Smule does for iPhone is due to the relative lack of any sort of low latency audio API in Android. See here for more information: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3434
I just found it amazing you said Android been behind the curve ever since the t pain app for iPhone, as if that's THE app that defines how good an OS is. Wow. Just as you said its a time waster, cool, but ultimately useless, and therefore I'm sure its not a priority right now.
Would be fun to play with though, all I have is my 1g ipod touch so I never got to mess around with it. Just not somethin I'm hurting for
Why so much hate in this topic? The guy is looking for a neat app on the apps discussion board. Big ****ing deal. If you don't like it, then don't even post and save everyone else the time of finding out what a baby you are.

It is not because it is not compatible hardware-wise -- I have it running on my 700, and while there's some lag on starting the game, it runs beautifully once in-game.
The only 100% legal option you have is pay for it and subsequently download it while on a supported device, rip the apk out with, for example, Total Commander or Titanium Backup, and transplant it to your 700.
Humbug.
Thanks though
and just looked at a game I often played on the ipad3 and it's also not available.

That's like complaining a Windows game doesn't work on a Mac. You're asking for a game on a totally different operating system. Every scrap of logical reasoning could've told you that it might not work beforehand.

Not my fault you made it sound like you were upset the iOS game didn't work on android. If it was intended as an addendum to your previous post, use the bloody Edit button. It's there for a reason.
You can try using the modded playstore if you want to go the legal way.

It works fine. I purchased it from the Amazon App Store.

Thanks, 55Pegasus, as for you Americans, this would be the best (and only) option. For us Europeans, we'd be stuck anyway. ; )
Now, I do have a few observations to make... Please excuse me, but...

My reply would have resembled this one:

That's like complaining a Windows game doesn't work on a Mac. You're asking for a game on a totally different operating system. Every scrap of logical reasoning could've told you that it might not work beforehand.

The main reason is that you, OP, actually phrased it like you were upset that your favorite game from another OS was not available on the 700, not that it was available for Android in general, but not for the 700 in particular. :silly:

the game is available in android just not compatible to tf700 just like plants vs zombies.
I thought that's the reason for my thread (i.e. app compatibility...). You're such a genius.

Your thread started out regarding PvZ specifically (it's even in the title!). You can't take a crap down somebody's back because you phrase things clumsily. My advice (which I myself mostly follow): take your time posting something, and think over your phrasing. I try not go get personal, although I admit I'm only human and therefore can take only so much before I explode.
A correre e cagare ci si immerda i garretti. Freely translated: running and taking a crap at the same time will foul your heels. Ancient Italian (probably of Sumerian origins), but very applicable to many of life's situations, like forum posting, sex, cooking, chemistry (which is my educational background) and military operations (of which I have had a taste as well). I should have this tattooed somewhere. (That would be a first, by the way.)

Agreed. Don't forget your hypertension meds, love.
Can it work?
If everybody is done criticizing each other over how they've worded their posts, can we get back to the topic?
Is there a way to make this game work on a 1920x1080 Android device? There are more and more of them coming out...such as the S4 and HTC One. There must be a way to scale the display...?
Does anybody have a solution?

Well, if you'd read my first post (or took in the message instead of only feeling the 'tone'), you'd know the answer: yes, we have. It works beautifully, and has done so for almost a year on my tab. Thank you for reviving this old, decomposing thread.
There was an android humble bundle a while back that had plants vs zombies as part of the bundle. It runs well, scales nicely, and as previously mentioned it lags a little during cut scenes.

I still regret missing out on that deal.

I did read it...and rejected it. I'm not looking to build it myself...
I found avway to get it from the Amazon store using Unblock-US...i'm in Canada. it works but the graphics aren't great.

I doubt it, considering your second sentence:

I never said you had to build it yourself. I said you can sideload it from one of so many other Android devices. Simple, and effective, requires pretty much no skill.

Taking an advance of your next and last sentence: you're welcome for taking the long way home. Feel free to ignore other's advice for having an easy and leisurely life, and risk screwing with your system in the process. There's always others on XDA who can help you out when you F up on that, too, right?
