This is an Xposed Module that will remove the Navigation Bar from the bottom of your Moto X, thus reclaiming that precious screen real estate.
It is highly recommended that you enable PIE Controls when using this module so that you have access to all of your buttons (home/back/menu/etc). You can use this xposed module to do that.
This was developed using a VZW Moto X but should work on all Moto X's and probably all devices with on-screen Navigation Enabled by default.
INSTRUCTIONS:
sideload/install the application attached to this post
enable it in your list of xposed modules
enable and configure pie controls via GravityBox
reboot
F.A.Q.
Question: Can I get my Navigation Bar back?
Answer: Yes. Since this is an xposed module, all you have to do is un-check it in your module list and reboot.
Question: Is it compatible with the KitKat?
Answer: Yes. I am running the latest built as of this post and it is working flawlessly.
Question: Does it do anything else?
Answer: Maybe. I also removed the safe volume limit but this is not fully tested.

I made this module with the intention of enabling the navbar on the maxx because gravitybox will not work. When it didn't work and neither did gravitybox I reversed the function and tried it on my moto x to hide the navbar. It worked so I compiled and posted it.
I guess gravitybox hide nav does work for the moto x. So, this post can be deleted.

Ok. Was only tested on 4.4. As I was saying above, just use GravityBox.
Is there any way to add more options to Pie Controls? Like googe search ... :/
Great mod.

Anyways, I'm from Brazil, 4.4 is coming soon, I guess...

No FC on my 4.2 with GravityBox. I have Expanded desktop + PIE controls set to a quicksettings toggle so I can play games in full screen. Works great. Check it, I made a guide- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554590
GravityBox works GREAT on the Republic devices. No issues with answering calls, turning off alarms, or WiFi calling.
When I was using another XPosed module, I think MoDaCo, but maybe another one, to hide the NAV bar, WiFi calling was disabled. Turning off the module made it work again.

I've been trying various Xposed mods with my Moto X (413.9.0Q2.X-116-LCX-26); but a lot of them break the ROM. Would cause the device to get stuck on boot.
I'm assuming a mod would need to be specifically made for the Moto X. If someone is willing/clever enough to work on it, I'd be more than happy to contribute with testing/building the UI.
Some of the (specific) things I think people would be happy to see on a Moto X Xpose Mod:
• Phone Face Down action (mute/vibrate call)
• Remove Carrier Label from the statusbar (top left corner)
• Quick Unlock on PIN entry (instead of having to press 'Enter')
• Various status bar modifications (battery icons, colours on icons, centre clock)
• Solid black Navbar
• Quick Settings pull down options (left/right side on statusbar pull down)
• Quick Settings toggles options
As of Xposed Framework ver 2.2, the framework works on our Moto X.
Xposed Framework is required for the following modules to work. Grab the latest Xposed Framework installer from this thread:
[FRAMEWORK ONLY!] Xposed - ROM modding without modifying APKs
Available modules made specifically for Moto X
[XPOSED] MotoXposed - Hide carrier label, center clock by @rob43 (added on September 4, 2013)
List of available modules that are untested, and/or made for "every" Android device (warning: some might be incompatible with our Moto X stock ROM)
[INDEX][XPOSED] Collection of XPOSED Modules
Available modules that have been tested by @flashallthetime and known to work with Moto X (original thread: Xposed framework beta 2 mod your stock rom)
Mods that are safe to use:
App settings ( dual panel )
Enable Camera on lock screen ( I don't think this works)
Gravity box 2.2.1 ( multiple mods )
Maximize widgets
MoDaCo ( multiple mods to system and system ui)
Samsung stock jelly bean 1.0 ( battery mods)
Xbatteries(battery mods)
XBlast tools 1.5.1 ( multiple mods)
Xlocky ( lock screen mods)
XthemeEngine ( themes)
Digitalbluebattery ( battery mods)
[Xthemes] Mega Collection
Most of the mods are developed for Sammy phones but I was using dual panel mod on my lenovo tablet without issue, I believe there' s also a mod for installing themes for Roms without theme manager apk
Just tried it also and I was in a bootloop, thank God I download cwm xposed uninstaller, guess it could be that our ROM is odex but just guessing

My two all time favorite mods would be:
Escalate ring tone while phone is in pocket.
Change location and sizes of soft keys. IE, back key on right and multitasking on left. I sort of got used to it from my s3
Can someone please compile a list of which mods did not soft brick your device? I don't want to go around blind flashing mods on a device that I don't have the stock ROM for, in case things go sour. Not a huge fan of restoring CWM backups, only for emergencies.
Yah I can do that as I started a thread in themes and app section

So does that mean we can use cm themes such as mianogen theme with xthemes in xposed? Or does it have to be an xtheme theme. Also which update for substrate are we looking for? It looks like the latest update is focusing on 4.3 already
On Aokp and Cyanogenmod you can get a "kill all" button when u click on the multitasking button that lets you remove alll processes from ram without having to tediously swipe through all of them. Now, there's NO AOKP or Cyanogenmmod for the Moto g, so i was wondering if there is any way to get that button for the moto g?

wouldn't it not work? this is from the site itself:
Compatibility
- Supports AOSP devices running vanilla Android 4.4
- DOES NOT support devices running ROMs vastly modified by device manufacturers (HTC Sense, Samsung Touchwiz, MIUI, LeWa, Xperia, ...)
- SHOULD NOT be used with custom ROMs like CM, AOSPA, RootBox, SlimBean and others - it makes no sense since the most of the features are already
in the ROM (may cause conflicts and unexpected behaviour)

yea i checked out gravity box and it does have this function.
but i don't see a function to change the nav bar ring targets. for example, on aokp i can make it so i swipe the home button left to bring up my music player, swipe the home button down the middle to bring up google now. Is this possible in gravity box?
also, does the exposed framework and gravity box run in the background? meaning it wastes more battery?
No it doesn't eat batteries, it's really a great tool. You can set some lockscreen shortcuts in the lockscreen section but you'll keep the app icon which is kinda unesthetic

I am using GavityBox. I have not tried many options in it yet. The circle battery, clock mods, and network traffic meter are working. Navbar mods do not seem to work. Was hoping to get rid of the nav bar and use LMT((pie controls).

Magisk

Amplify and adaway for YouTube working
I'm using Adblocker reborn, Gravitybox, and Greenify Xposed modules, along with the Magisk Greenify for proper implementation. As well as Magisk Busybox, and last but not least, injected YouTube background playback, black themed for Magisk. You can also apply the swipe to seek module from Xposed and they work great together. Zoom to fill screen works great too. Best module out there!

If ur running stock, even if u hide the status bar, it won't make use of the full screen. Only way to do this for now, is by running Lineage based ROMs.
Xposed isn't available on Beta 3 yet, right? I see there's one for B2, but I'm guessing it won't install on B3.

You can also keep it stock and then do modifications if you like. I flashed a stock firmware, then DRM patch, kernel, Magisk. After that, also flashed SE Linux permissive, Viper and Adblock through Magisk. Finally, as I've always used Titanium, I just freeze all bloatware I don't want.
It's a little more tweaking but works quite well and Viper still produces better sound than Turbo ROM IMHO.
