The android kitchen makes this very simple, put the Rom in the working folder, select deodex Rom. Rebuild & sign the Rom.

Im working on customizing a Eris Rom but everything is odex'ed. Some of the changes I'm making like adding the AOSP dialer and enabling JIT isnt working. So I wanted to deodex the files with in the ROM to see if it will help me get these things working.
This should help automate the process:

Though, you've still got a lot of work ahead of you, tweaking with finicky apps, etc.

Thanks. I'm determined cause the Eris Rom(fresh 3c) just seems faster to me and the keyboard has no lag.
Hi,
I'm noob, this website is confsuing me so hard I can't find any useful info for me.
I have Samsung I5800. And it works really slow, I mean, REALLY slow. I got 1gb memory card inside but if I download let's say 2 aplications 25mb each I can't do any single thing with this phone. Can't pick up calls - If someone calls me I can hear the ringtone, feel the vibs but screen won't light up fast enough to pick up the call.
I was told that this website helps people like me. That updating ROM - w/e it is - might help. Is this true? Or is my phone broken and I have to send it to repair?

You are at perfect place. Welcome to XDA...
Spend some time reading about the phone information here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858583
And don't worry, flashing a ROM is simple, and not harmful...just you need to know some things.
You will definitely get performance boost with new ROM.

I recently installed the [ROM][4.0.4] ~NUMA~ (vG2.0 - Gamma) [FEB.17.2013] ROM and absolutely love it. The only thing I can't get to work is the Smart Actions app. It installs fine but when you go to create there are no examples and you have to create your own but there are no triggers or actions. I tried using that Tasker app but yeah, not so much. Any help would be greatly appreciated
*Update*
I ended up finding aSmart Actions APK on here and installed it. Problem solved.
Any way you can pass that apk along to me?

I would like to use BMM to create another partition (system 3) to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050705&page=1
Can I get a little assistance here with this please?
I read this article (http://ravi.rajiniravi.com/blog/2014/02/cyanogenmod-11-on-atrix-2/) for BMM partition instructions, and it says some stuff like installing BMM again, or using some "keeper" or something. I have CM11 installed on System 1, and I don't know how exactly to create a partition for this ROM. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

That thread is mostly outdated, but if you skip over the numbered directions in the op you come to a paragraph starting with the words "just some tips". Do what it says there. Those are the steps you need to do to get to multi booting.

Thanks man, successfully used System_3 for MIUI.
Just one more thing, I want to create another partition for installing ParanoidAndroid. Would I have enough space after following arnab's tutorial videos?
U should have enough space to have 3+ ROMs , depending on how much clutter u have on stock ROM. All systems after 2 are virtual so it just depends
