What rom is the most stable and has the best battery life for this phone? Don't care if its gingerbread or whatever, i just got it rooted and clockwork mod on it just now
Forgot to add im not that crazy about HTC Sense I like plain android
Give Virtuous Inquisition a try. Quick, AOKP and ICS. You WON'T be disappointed!

Do you have S-On or S-Off listed in your HBoot?
S-on

Then you will need to read this thread. At least the first 2 or 3 pages. And if you're like me....maybe a couple of times! LMAO (you need to flash your kernel seperately)

Power it down.....press volume down & power at the same time.......welcome to HBoot. You can do everything the info in the link I left you explains right from there and/or from Recovery or with ADB in the SDK.
A battery pull will shut it down.....volume down, power & pressing the trackpad for 5 seconds will give you a reboot from a hangup.
(I hope you're doing the req'd reading or phone modding isn't going to go well for you) .....just an FYI
thanks for the help, im not new to modding just new to htc, always had samsung.
I see. OK then, just keep at it and if you need any more help we'll do our best. :good:

Do you have adb set up?
Did you open the zip and find the boot.IMG? Find the IMG and flag it through fastboot?

Battery pull.
Hold Volume down, press power to get into recovery.
This happened to me two days ago... And I probably know less than you about how to fix it.
I ended up using Hasoon's unlocker tool to flash the boot image from the rom I had flashed after mounting the phone via Recovery.
As someone said, with S-ON you have to flash the boot/kernel or whatever separately...

[Q] Need help with possible hard brick

For starters, if there is already an answer to this question, please point me in the right direction because I have looked all over the forums and cannot find an answer. I was wondering if anyone could help me return my Nexus S 4G back to stock. I was in the middle of using one click stock when my power went out and now my phone just sits at the bootloader saying "fastboot mode-no boot or recovery img" and one click stock does not work.; meaning, it will sit and ask me to put the phone into debugging mode. I have also tried manually flashing the files from fastboot but it sits at sending file but does not flash. Even let it sit at the sending screen for 3 hours but it never flashed.
Maybe a brick. The same thing happened to me once, no img's, fastboot not working and a broken power button. I just got it back from a free repair

Well, is your bootloader locked/unlocked? and try to do it manually with fastboot, at least you know that things are done correctly.
unlock bootloader is : fastboot oem unlock
lock is: fastboot oem lock
you could try to switch once and try to push the recovery image so you can flash a new rom.
Thanks for the help. I relocked and unlocked the bootloader and it did the trick. I was able to manually flash everything back to the phone
Glad I could be of help

Stuck on "htc one" screen

Hey guys, im a noob and i recently flashed ViperXL on my att HOX. everything was going fine except after i restored data from Titanium backup that i had backed up from previous ROM (AOKP build 4). Titanium said i had to reboot so i did. And now i am stuck on "htc ONE" screen. Is my phone done? please help!
Plug your phone in, use ADB to reboot into recovery, wipe everything and reinstall ViperXL.
Don't restore apps from another ROM like AOKP

Also reminds us all the importance of backing up our data via a Custom Recovery before flashing ROMs
ive stumpled on upon a quite annoying problem..i have an HTC ONE X+ which i unlocked my bootloader on and everything went smooth until i wanted to start recovery via hboot.
it did not start and i tried several times and restarted etcetc, i then tried to flash in another recovery and then tried more and more but nothing..
then i cant remember now exaclty how i did it, but i have several RUU, kernel, recovery, boot and roms n such items downloaded
so i tried to feed in another flash or rom or whatever its called to get the recovery funtion to work (i am not very pro at this) and then when i wanted to start my phone normally it all of a sudden wont boot properly.
it freezes on the bootscreen.. i can turn off and go in to bootloader but i cant do ANYTHING from there, i cant do a factory reset (wich i also tried when the recovery did not want to work) i cant do **** there. tried to lock and unlock bootloader.. feels like im out of options..
the only thing i can do now is command the phone via cmd and the toolkit i use from here "Hasoon2000s htc one x AIO kit"
using this guide on this thread mostly..
ive tried so many things now, searched this and other forums since friday and i still can not get anywhere... starting to think this is what the definition of a bricked unit is??
if you need any more info please just ask.. i bought the phone a week ago so kinda sucks if it would be useless for me right away haha..
i would appreciate som help and tips... please
Sincerely Jeff

The people who actually have that phone can help you out, I don't know how to solve it as well as they do. Good luck!

Bricked Phone when trying to flash stock rom

so my phone wouldnt boot up when i tried to restore from by BACKUP.
so i tried flashing a RUU.
while it was flashing i guess something went wrong because it gave me a system error and now when i try to boot my phone it automaticlly goes to CWM.
cant even get into bootloader mode.
and anyone help? :crying:
i have to say this is one of the most frustrating phone i have ever worked with.
First off that's not a brick. If the device won't turn on..ie screen it's a brick.
Have to relock bootloader in order to run an ruu

[Q] help phone looks dead :(

i have htc sensation z710e.
i flashed new stock rom RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.33.401.6_Radio_11.76A.3504.00U_11.24A.3504.31_M_release_266171_signed.
i followed this guide to install it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
after flashing phone reboot. it works perfectly no issue but after that going into boot loader to turn S-OFF INTO S-ON. enter the command "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" and press power button on option reboot boot loader.
after that phone does not turn ON. even not charge my phone. seems like dead.
i tried put out battery for 30 mint and reinsert but no result.
EDIT: when phone is connected by usb to PC. it search for drivers but failed to find drivers. NO adb command helps me
anyone help me to save.
Try the unbricking project in sensation dev section.. Its for saving from the same exact problem
