Will there be a 4G version? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yea just wondering if they'll make a 4G version if there's demand
Sent from my U8800 using xda premium

I don't think anyone but certain motorola employees could even answer this question. It does support faux 4G though.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app

I expect there will be a 4G version next year. In fact I really hope Google has plans to make Motorola become an amazing brand for affordable but highly specified devices that will crush all those that dare sell crappy budget phones that do nothing to the reputation of Android.
Even someone used to devices like the GS4, HTC One and Xperia Z1 can look at the Moto G as a decent device, as it punches way above its weight.

Couldn't agree more. Motorola is positioning themselves as a top contender for 2014.

Wouldn't doubt it. Android is doing so good right now. To think it all started with one phone the HTC g1 and has expanded ever since

Yes, I heard something like that too........ But we will just have to wait and see....
It might all depend on what new offerings and features the iPhone will have at that time.......

Best phone on T-Mobile

I love my optimistic t, its a great phone but I have only a few questions...what the best T-Mobile phone on market...the sensation? Also knowing i can get a completely unlocked phone, what would y'all think is the best phone according to performance, internal storage/ram and ie....
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
It is actually optimus...
I think HTC sensation 4g is the best phone in T-mobile network.
The problem with it is the battery, not going to last long.
Samsung galaxy S2

Nexus prime ...jk, but it will be lol but right now, I'd say its definitely between the Samsung galaxy s2 and the HTC sensation
Sent from my Sensation 4g using XDA App
Toss-up between Sensation and Galaxy S II imo
Sent from my HTC Sensation
So if I find a s2 unlocked, in theory I can use tmobiles network on the phone
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
Actually and technically, the MyTouch 4G Slide might be the best T-Mobile phone. It has the best camera and audio and other stuff.
Galaxy S II
Any specs on the phone you mentioned...I believe the optimus t uses a 600/800 MHz processor, with my mind falling more to 600...the g1 had the same processor..I loved that phone, man I spent countless hours learning what i could about rom development...unfortunely technology is always involving so its nearly impossible to keep up with it

Are you guys forgetting about the HTC Amaze 4G? That is definitely the best phone on T-Mobile next to the Samsung Galaxy S II
Radar 4g is my favorite at the moment. The dell venue pro is also pretty outstanding. You won't get a better media or gaming device on t-mobile.
Just how more advanced can phones get? Soon our phones might wipe our ass
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
HTC Amaze (why even consider Sensation with Amaze out?) or GS2.
Go for Radar if you are interested in WP7 and aren't interested in customization.

hey there, i'm looking for a new phone, i only want to spend in between €100/€210, are there any good smartphones in that price range, i was thinking about the HTC HD2, but i dont know if thats a good choice, and i have the galaxy s1.
thanks for your time

What do you want in the phone?
Camera, front facing? CPU? Screen size? Good development? Etc...
Mainly, I'm also wondering off contract or on contract... and new or used?
The HD2 is not a bump specs wise from your Galaxy S, but it has amazing development. It can run WM6.5, WP7, Android 4.0, MeeGo, and something else too I forgot.

i want something that has a bigger screen, and camera doenst bother me that much, i never take picrures
i really want a faster phone with more ram, or a dual core. the reason for the HD2 was the big screen and the huge development for it

Ok then I'll warn you, the HD2 is not that much faster.
I still need to know if you mind buying a used phone, and what country you live in.

i live in the netherlands, and i dont mind buying a used phone, if it works and everything is fine, its good , do you have any more suggestions?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
OK well... I don't know much about availability of phones in countries outside the US... but there are definitely some worthy upgrades in that range (in USD its 122-250).
I can offer a big list of used phones in that price range, but I don't know if the sellers on eBay ship to the Netherlands. Hmm.
Sent from my MB508 using xda premium
there are loads of phones here, but not second handed, so theyre all really expensive, and i could get one from ebay :3
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Here are the phones in that price range, used on eBay. The problem is, I don't know about availability in the Netherlands.
Motorola Atrix 4G
Motorola Atrix 2
Samsung Captivate Glide
LG Thrill 4G
LG G2X (Optimus 2X)
LG Nitro HD
HTC Sensation
HTC Mytouch 4G Slide
And the single core phones that are upgrades from the Galaxy S
HTC Inspire 4G (Desire HD)
Samsung Infuse 4G
I also went onto the eBay app using the Netherlands country code, and I found some used GS2s slightly above €210, but they still had an hour or so on them so they were bound to go higher.

The HTC HD2 is great if you are interested in ROMs, dual booting, modding, etc. Otherwise, the Sensation is the best overall in that price range. The HTC HD2 will last at least a year due to the huge dev community but the Sensation is vastly better on specs.
Get the galaxy s3. It is an amazing phone. I loved my gs2. And this is like a hdtv compared to a b&w white one. I love all the features and the screen size. Check it out when u have time

It is also not available in many countries. Besides that there are different versions of the phone. I think as soon as it becomes more wide spread among different countries this forum will be more alive. I can also buy the small new flagship of HTC but i prefer a bigger screen and a SD-slot over some option and good speakers. I think probably more HTC customers will agree with me...........
If custom ROM's become available that would be great, if not i just can be happy with Sense 5 and all the other great features this phone has.
As far as I can see, the butterfly died when the htc one got announced. I really do wish it could pick up but not looking like a bright future.
I understand your statement but dont agree.......

S4, Note II, or HTC One?

Hey guys,
So I had my Skyrocket now for some time (still love it), AT&T just came out with an offer where you can get pretty much any of their phones $199 and below for 50% off. So S4, Note2 and HTC One are only $100, not bad right?!?!
Now the question is if you guys could pick which one would you guys for and why? I like all 3, size is not an issue. Hope I could get some feedback to make a choice. Thanks.
Probably should have stuck this in the next phone thread but wouldn't the note2 be 150 since its 300? Unless it dropped in price. Personally tho, I'd say s4. I'm sure spitfire will stop in and say get the One because its the most amazing phone in the world . But really, go with what suits your needs. Or if you still dig the rocket and it does what you need, save your money.

HTC One
Design that never fails to excite me, kind of excitement that I get when buy a brand new phone.

Totally sorry, did not see the next phone thread.
The Note 2 is $199 on AT&T. So it will be $100. The only thing I really like about the Note 2 is the battery life.
So it's basically between the HTC One and S4.
I would be getting it as a bday gift, so I'm lucky in this situation.

I second vote for S4, coming from a rocket the transition will be almost non-existant
HTC one. Soon it will have the ge edition come out and you can flash that and have the best software on the best hardware.

If it's gonna be the same software, why would you go with plastic over aluminum? Plus ours will be cross-flashable with sense and vanilla and the s4 wont be.

Why would you want a 4 Megapixel camera that is no longer software optimized for it (by HTC's proprietary software)? That said, the S4 does feel pretty flimsy and fragile, in my limited experience with it.
Man, I called that.. Lol

At the end of the day Samsung's always have a better Dev following, how important that is is up to u.
I will again greatly endorse the S4, especially Dev edition if u can spring for it.
Yeah, I really like the HTC One A LOT! The only thing is that I know the Devs for Samsung are amazing, just look at our Skyrockets still being able to stick around with the S3/4. I dont know how the HTC One Devs will be, I havent really gone around their Forums yet.
However, I'm sure they have to be a few great Devs there working on it, esp with vanilla Android coming out for the HTC One coming out.
Thank you guys for your inputs, helped me think of some important factors that I missed out on.
The devs are great over there. They love the device and there is a nice selection of good roms over there.
