I'm eligible for an upgrade once again and I am torn between getting the Epic Touch this Friday or holding out for the Nexus Prime. What phone will you guys be getting as an upgrade to your Nexus S? Mostly a poll for Sprint Users
I can't believe I forgot to put Nexus Prime as an option, how do you add an answer?
If you like stock android wait for the prime. Its that simple.

iPhone if it comes out on sprint. If not the nexus prime

Def the nexus prime. Hopefully launches on sprint right away. Was like you and gonna get the epic touch 4g but think nexus prime will be badass. Especially if the rumors are half true( metal casing).

The more I look at the N9, the more this phone just makes sense.
-Constant clock, even when phone is sleeping
-Constant notifications, even when the phone is sleeping
-Double tap to wake the phone
-Edge of the screen swipe to go back to home

This should be what the Nexus Prime should strive to be. If we get someone like the N9, but with Google's flavors on it, I would be in heaven.
My next phone will be the Nexus Prime.

Yeah, this is the one tails is gonna get.
/me is gonna get the Prime
iPhone 5 with dual 1.5ghz running Ice Cream Sandwich.
By the time I'm ready the gs2 and prime will be out. Hopefully the prime won't be exclusive to Verizon. Or else its a gs2 for me. **** maybe even an iPhone 5 if I get a tablet before my upgrade. Can't believe I just said that. But as much as I love android and hate ios stupid iPhones just work. A tablet would take over the workload I put on my smartphone so it really won't matter what I go with.

Theyre getting the Droid Prime. It will not be a Nexus device.
I love the taste of words, so I'll gladly be wrong.
I have owned ever nexus phone so my next phone will definitely be the Nexus Prime!!

Agreed! Unless I change carriers which is a very real possibility.
Prime ftw....
Now... I've been wanting a Nexus 7 ever since it was announced, but only now that I can afford one.
But now I see I've got a chance to buy a 16gb Nexus 4.
I was planning on continuing to use my Nexus S as it totally rocks running CM10.1 and using the Nexus 7 for browsing the web around the house and playing games.
If I would buy the Nexus 4 I would obviously not afford the Nexus 7 for a while. But the Nexus 4 is such a sexy piece of hardware and it has a much better camera than the Nexus S and I've got a baby on the way and I would love to be able to take good pictures and HD videos of my little ones.
Help me decide!
Nexus 7 + Nexus S
Or
Nexus 4 only

Nexus 4 ftw nexus 7 doesn't have a rear facing camera and the glass is extremely fragile ... Go have a look at the nexus 7 general section where people are complaining about their nexus 7 glass cracking for no reasons

Really tough one, but go with the Nexus 4. Carrying two devices at the same time is real pain in that part of the body .
I vote for Nexus 4 as well.
Wow... no love for the larger screen of the Nexus 7?
Granted, I use my Nexus S for reading, checking facebook, Pulse News, Flipboard etc. I often wish for a larger screen, but I might just be fine with 4,7 inches.

Just go with a Nexus 4.
Nexus 4!
But honestly if i got the money i'll save it 'til Nexus 5 arrives, or until nexus s completely loses support from all devs
Nexus s+7 too many reported issues for the n4. I'd actually choose gn or gn2 over n4. Reports issues: fragile, overheating, and cracking around speaker.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
Much more support for the Nexus 4, but the few comments for the Nexus 7 do keep me going both ways...
I´ll tell you one thing that might change the odds a little...
I am in Iceland... A 16gb Nexus 4 is 99.900 ISK = 775 USD. A 32gb Nexus 7 is 59.900 ISK = 465 USD.

Ouch! That's just about the same here in Manila. Woe for us non-Play Store countries.
Nexus 4 FTW!!!. People have been complaining about the Nexus 7 lagging on games. (Not sure about that. My friend bought one from Hong Kong and said it lags sometimes) The glass on the N7 is also really fragile IMO. Good thing you can get it at a Google Play rate, in Singapore, it is about $USD465.
Sent from my NXT2JBed R800i using xda app-developers app
Wow, that's a serious ripp-off for N4 in Iceland. I would not buy it for that kind of money.
In Croatia, N7 32GB is around 365$, that is also kinda high for our standard, but yet it's more affordable than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" and Apple iPad Mini. N4 is unavailable and probably won't hit the stores until late spring.
No hardware in Croatian Play Store in either...

Hy there, for the past 5 months i have been using a combination of nexus s as a phone for when i am out and a nexus 7 for where i am at home. And i must say that this combimation really works. When i am out i don't necessarily need the greatest performance for gaming and simmilar but i appreciate the form factor of my nexus s. But when i am at home i have my nexus 7 for gaming and multimedia. I must say that the performance of nexus 7 on the latest games is very good with an appropriate rom and kernel. If you still like your phone like i do, then i would recommend going with two device combo(weak phone+tablet) rather than one extra powerful phone. And on the battery side of things as i primarily use my tablet at home and i have my phone in a dock whenever i go out, my phone battery is always charged as opposed if i had just the phone and would be using it at home

If you didn't have a tablet before, go for the Nexus 4.
If you did have a tablet before, go for the Nexus 4.
If you get tortured by your neighbor, go for the Nexus 4.
If you like sitting on the toilet for 2.4820 hours, go for the Nexus 4.
If you do(n't) sound familiar with the above lines, go for the Nexus 4.
I'm actually swaying toward the NS+N7 combo.
I'm seeing a lot of threads about issues with the N4. I'm not the type who has to have the newest gadgets so I think I might just wait until most of the issues with it have been resolved and then it might have reduced in price a bit here in Iceland.

i would prefer nexus 4.. for the incoming baby maybe you should get a digital cam/recorder because it has better image quality than the smartphones..

It just hit me today, that I want to get a Note 2. Im wanting a bigger device and for awhile I've been wanting the DNA and also am waiting what the M7 has to offer. But i know that will only be a 4.7 in screen. I still don't know 100% yet. But the Note 2 looks sweet and I've heard great things about it. So anyone that had the galaxy nexus that made the switch happy with their choice? Its hard to leave a device that gets updates quite often but I can always root the note so just curious what people here think

I switched from the Nexus to the Note 2 about 3 weeks ago and I have to say I loving it. I liked the Nexus, but the Note 2 is better in every way. Love the screen, awesome battery life, easy to root and unlock, pretty good development. I can't think of a negative right now.

Ya sometimes I wonder if there are just so many different things that you can do with the note 2 I wouldn't know what to do with it Haha. But yes, a big battery and an SD card is a plus for me. I'm a very heavy user on my device and it would be nice to have one last me all day without a charge.

I'm running an unofficial version of cm11 on my s4. You guys are gonna flip when you get it! Maps has been revamped and Google search home integration is sick! Best android version yet. Plus hence the smaller size, better performance on midrange devices such as the blaze.
BTW- Next month I'm getting a nexus 5. Broke my s4 screen twice. Not to impressed with Samsung hardware, I've got practically $1000 in this phone. Maybe I'll have better luck with a nexus.
I tweaked the exhilarate build to run on my phone. I too plan on getting the nexus 5... So excited lol.

Running it on the nexus 4. Very nice
You guys deserve it.

Get a case. If you head over to the N5 threads you will see that the screen is just a fragile. Makes sense, they both use gorilla glass 3. Other than that, you won't be disappointed.

That's the bad part. I was using a otter box with a built in screen cover and had a invisible shield screen protector as well. The phone itself bends to easy. All the nexus reviews say the nexus is more durable than the s4.

Depends on how better it is compare to N5.. But I might hold off bcuz the N5 is good enough for me now..
