Flash at your own risk!
I'm not responisble if this bricks your device, it's very possible it can brick from being untested to power going out durning a flash which leads to a softbrick and is fixable by getting into download mode and using ODIN or Nandroid to restore. Been running good so far! Not a single problem I have encountered. Minus the already known bugs that are being worked on in the code. Thanks for building!

two questions:
1. need to flash superuser standalone?
2. can i get info about machine you are building on?

Awesome glad its working as intended!
Only if you wish to have root and I built it on a laptop with a solid state hard drive i7 processor and 8GB of ram.

Thanks so much for this! It is day 2 of running and so far really good.

Can any of you post a list of what works and what don't work?
Example
List:
Bluetooth: ???
Calling: Works
Camera: Works
Camcorder: ???
Data: Works
GPS: Works
Messaging: Works
Multi-Media Messaging: Works
WiFi: Works
So if there are any bugs that have been fixed that we all know.

Bluetooth and WiFi don't work on my device so I can't test those but everything else works except for camcorder

Yeah everything works except Bluetooth didn't work correctly when paired with my soundbar. Music wouldn't play with Apollo and when using Google play music, it ended up skipping a song I was listening to. I mention it before but it hasn't been fixed even on Cm10.2. Apollo and DSP manager acts up because of some cm merge and I have to launch and force close Apollo multiple times to fix it. I posted a logcat awhile ago but no one has answers. I am only trying to help. If you need anymore info or can direct me to a place where this problem can be rectified please help as I am trying to make this ROM run 100%.

See.

Time for a reset in here, thread cleaned and closed too. Pending proper way of doing things in accordance with XDA posting rules.
OP, you probably ought to be getting proper permissions, and certainly giving credits for others work.
Those are the rules here at XDA.
To all the others, do NOT take the "law" into your own hands, moderators are here for that. Whether you feel right our wrong about your stance, there are respectful ways to do things. Think that what you said/posted was OK? Well, that is what moderators are here for. We remove stuff that is offensive and non-sensible - That being said, all the "stuff" has been cleaned. Use of PM to (respectfully) sort out issues is WAY better then doing it in here, or any thread for that matter.
Have a problem with not being able to defend your honor in XDA? Then I suggest one of them social media sites, they love that stuff.

GPS
Camera

Not yet. Other kernels will be using an eb13 init.rc, which won't load enough files to get CM7 off the ground.
Any ETA on when bluetooth will be fully functional? I can live without the camera and GPS but need bluetooth for handsfree driving. Great work guys.
If gps or camera worked this would be my daily driver. I'm so excited. Thanks so much cm7 team!!!!!

[DEV][05/04/12][new alpha3] xDEOS-CyanogenMod-9.0.0-UNOFFICIAL (v. 4.0.4 for U8150)

MOTIVATION
Welcome in the official thread of the project. This post is made to let discover you why this project is born. We are two universitary students that want more about a new branch of th IT Area, the Embedded OS Porting. We have a particular device, the HUAWEI IDEOS U8150, so our port is in this direction.
So don't ask to us why we are porting this version of Android with this device, because this project starts for educate ourself to the porting of Android OS, in particular we are oriented to port CyanogenMod ver 9. We made research to define a good porting for this device, so all the support ,moral, technical and economic(we need more RAM and CPU frequency) is really appreciated. We are also thinking to port, after this ROM Porting, the MIUI v4.
We work to create a stable ROM that could enjoy all great people that have this device. We think that newest releases of Android could run on this kind of mid-low level devices, so we make all the possible to complete this work.

Hey, tried it out, works great on my T-Mobile Comet. No SIM card, so don't know how it does on the network, but yeah, it's usable, thanks for this!
Is there a way to get haptic feedback on the soft buttons?
May want to put on the first page how to install ICS gapps.

MOD NOTICE:
This is a development thread.
If your statement ends in a ? it belongs in the Q/A thread linked in the OP.
If something doesn't work correctly, first of all do a full wipe and see if the problem persists.
If it does, and it is repeatable, grab a logcat if you can, there are apps on the market for that such as aLogcat, and then post here with detailed information about what happened, how often it happened, and what happened when you were doing it.
Anyone that does not comply with these rules will receive an infraction, this is your warning.

Update Notice: at the current time, I am reviewing the herring (stock) based kernel code to port gps and other fixes to the aries kernel.
[11/04/13] Got nano2normal sim card adapter, so I can test ril
In the next few weeks I will be releasing herring updates to JB 4.2.2. I expect the same quality, and that will mean an update for those that like using CM-9.1.0. So stay tuned!
CREDITS
First off, credits need to be in order.
Big thanks goes out to jt1134 for making this all possible. CM9 on SGS4G would not be without his contributions! Please click thanks and donate on his posts!
Thanks to jeffsf for his "hefe kernel" changes. These add OC/UV and many other slick performance hacks! Thanks!
Ultimately some of those changes came from AntonX. Thanks to you too!
Also a big thanks to krylon360 for providing a mirror (which is fast as hell!)
Since this tree is basically a hack on our CM7 wip, thanks go to teamacid and everyone that helped to test CM7 and CM9!QUESTIONS/PROBLEMS?
Beastmode started a Q&A thread here. Do not ask questions or "Say Thanks" here. Just hit the thanks button.
This thread is for development *ONLY*. If you don't have anything to contribute to making this rom/kernel better, please post in said Q&A thread.WHAT WORKS and WHAT DOES NOT WORK
Working:
MTD and YAFFS2.
2.6.35.7-cyanogenmod-ICS kernel + jeffsf's "hefe" changes (Hopefully soon, we can finish porting to Aries/3.0.8)
Tiny Preempt RCU in the kernel for lower memory allocation overhead.
ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) 6.0.1.2
Power Management (kinda, there are some wake lock issues that cause the phone to reboot)
2D and 3D Graphics
Ringtones
Modem/Radio/RIL
SMS/MMS
Bluetooth
GPS
WiFi
Sound (minus incoming call ringtones, see Not Working)
Brightness control (but not auto brightness control, see Not Working)
BLN (Requires the use of neldar's BLN application. Use the pro version for the best experience)
Vibration
Still Camera (and ffc)
Camcorder (and ffc)
Panorama (and ffc)
Video Encoding and Decoding
cpufreq/underclocking - Thanks to AntonX and jeffsf
Rebooting to recovery
USB Mounting in Android and Recovery Mode

Not Working:
Auto Brightness control
Reboot to download mode
Car/Desk dock audio
WiFi-Calling (this might never work)
Wired Tethering
Untested:
You tell me...
If anything here looks wrong, let me know and I will be happy to update this OP.
CHANGELOG
For now, checkout the teamacid github
And here is the local_manifest.xml
Instructions
Download the ROM zip file to your SD card
Reboot to CWM/TWRP
Do a factory reset (only needed if you were not previously running cm9 - herring)
Format /system (same as with factory reset, only needed if not previously running cm9 - herring)
Flash the ROM using CWM/TWRP
(Optional) Flash gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip if you want the Market plus other Google apps.
Clear cache and dalvik cache, fixing permissions at this point is a good idea!
Reboot to the ROM
If you previously had IMEI/EFS problems, flash back to stock with Eollie's Heimdall OneClick, then flash CM9 from there. NOTE: currently wifi will not work after flashing the oneclick. Known issue.
Flashing from 3.0.2.8 recovery does not work. Make sure the version of your recovery is 5.0.2.x (x being 7 or 8). If you use eollie's oneclick, you will have the right recovery.
This kernel is currently herring (stock) based. We plan to change to aries when it stabilizes.
So above where I say "cm9 - herring", that is different then "cm9 - aries".
Got problems? Ask in the Q&A Thread!

I think there is parts missing from the data usage tab. I can't set a limit and its telling me no data has been used but a lot actually has. Not really sure how to report it though because theres nothing in the logs
Auto Brightness DOES work, it just takes a while for it to actually kick in.
And yeah, the Data Usage screen doesn't seem to be keeping track of anything for me.
Tested and Working
- Bluetooth - Working (on first try it froze my phone)
- GPS - Working excellent (it shows exactly where I am in Puerto Rico). Its also displaying if I move north west east our south more quickly than before.
- Weather Lockscreen displays the location as well.
- Wi-FI - Working
I did notice that when synching with Facebook it no longer says only facebook friends that have their phone. It sync the whole friend list.
- Tmobile Visual Voicemail is NOW supported. FIXED. (Check attached file)
- Tethering works on both USB and Wi-Fi.
- Ringtones not working.
- SMS/MMS Working.
Im still exploring so stay tuned.

Please don't shout. There is a fix coming. We had this issue in early CM7 builds. We just need to bring over changes from CM7.

[ROM-AOSP] Unofficial CM10.2 (JB 4.3) [08/12 BASEBAND+GPS?]

CyanogenMod 10.2 (Android 4.3) for the AT&T MB865 (Edison)
BACKGROUND: I was given an Atrix 2 a few months ago as a dev phone to help the community any way I could ...
And this ROM represents a portion of that work. I work with many of the devs in this community on a weekly basis and I'll make sure they know how to build this ROM (or variants).
This build is somewhat untested for phone / data. I'll need some feedback here. Currently the other Moto OMAP phones have phone/data/gps etc.

As you mentioned .. Baseband not working, and there is a green led bug ..
BTW , for some reason wifi started to work on the first boot on my device..
Nice to see you around man. If I can get my touchscreen fixed (and get the stupid phone to actually boot now) I hope to get working on some more stuff.
2 words - absolutely phenomenal!!! Thank you very, very much Hashcode for bringing the newest installment of Android to us! We are not worthy of such amazing devs! *Bows*

Can i get the output of: adb logcat -b radio > logcat-radio.txt
(Either in pastebin link or PM'd)
The only devices I can test data/phone on are the CDMA Moto's, so I'll need some help w/ testing GSM.
btw forgot to mention, brightness control is broken too .

I wouldn't consider it good for the moment, I think there's a wake lock being held somewhere in the phone data / gps system. And Google Services is very demanding on the system atm. All of which will be ironed out over time.
DERP. We're adding SElinux policies as well, but it's breaking the Edison boot at the moment. I'll fix it when i get some time after dinner and get that build up sooner or later.

[ROM][Official]CyanogenMod 12.1 Nightlies for the Verizon Galaxy S3 (d2vzw)
CyanogenMod and D2VZW: Together Again!
--------------------DANGER!! CMUpdater is providing the new CM13 Marshmallow nightly builds and notifying you of an update. IT SEEMS THERE ARE NO MORE UPDATES FOR CM12! 12/10 seems to be the last one. If you flash CM13 without looking into things first, you could be in for a world of hurt! Check out invisiblek's Official CM13 Nightlies thread in this same forum. BEWARE!!--------------------
De-unified Lollipop builds for the Galaxy S3 line. This is for the Verizon variant (SCH-I535) only
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Notes:
Please Use Firmware: VRBMF1
and
Modem/Baseband Version: NE1 (Also, see "Notes - Possible Bugs" section below)
(EDIT: The following statement might not be true. It happened to one user. Unsure about circumstances... If you've done it or want to try, please tell us what happens.)If you have recently downgraded firmware from 4.3 to 4.1.2, DO NOT flash the MF1 firmware. You'll brick your device!
If you know you never took the 4.3 OTA, then you can flash the firmware and modem to your hearts content.
CWM Recovery addicts: Please seriously consider giving up CWM and come on board with what works for sure with 5.1.x, TWRP. Problems have been coming up with CWM users so if you have one, that's were to start. Hopefully there's a 12-step program somewhere for y'all

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit the Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Regarding the Stagefright Exploit: The latest patch update to protect against the security vulnerability was merged for the 8/14 nightly. Please update to that or later to make sure you are fully protected, though work still continues.

Download Links :: Download Links Broken!! - On or about 12/18 the links for 12.1 ceased to function. The links for 12.1 and 13 are all listed on the same page at the moment as well. While 12.1 builds have continued to come out every few days or so for other devices, the last one for the d2vzw is for 12/10 at the moment. I don't know if this is a temporary of permanent state of affairs but inquiries are forth coming. In the mean time, the 12/10 build is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link below so at least we got that, thanks to XdrummerXboy.
Also, if you have a build from about 11/15 and later hanging around you could upload it for others to access, if need be, by following the instructions from this post: Upload Instructions
CyanogenMod:
Nightly: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2vzw&type=nightly LINKS ONLY WORKS FOR CM13 NOW!!
Download with daily commits tracked:http://www.cmxlog.com/12.1/d2vzw/
>>These are the de-unified d2vzw builds now instead of the d2lte builds you previously used<<
Google apps addon:
TK Modular GApps by TKruzze. Get your GApps from the Master. Follow his installation instructions.
Open GApps:opengapps.orgThey are modular AND have the option of Aroma Installer. Updated daily. Very interesting story on these. There is the website, and an XDA thread.
>>>WARNING!!<<< The first time one installs Open GApps, you have to do it with a ROM update (or reinstall current ROM) AND manually wipe the system partition first. Then install the ROM and the GApps normally, then wipe Dalvik and Cache. After that, you can flash them anytime. (More info on Website.) ALSO, for now, don't install Webview as it might not work. There is an "Android System Webview" in the Play Store that will work.
Other Options:
The Gapps Central For those of you who just have to be different, a GApps Smorgasbord, by TheXGX
Banks Gapps removed after just one too many malfunctions... If you use 'em and have a problem, update from the Play Store your offending app or flash one of these others, but don't come complainin'.
Firmware and Modem thanks to Invisiblek
Download - MF1 firmware with NE1 modem Combo: http://www.invisiblek.org/firmware/d2/d2vzw_MF1_firmware_NE1_modem.zip (md5sum: 7a49bb13c1160f4d4a89488127684b5b)
A MF1 firmware only zip is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link below, as well as individual modem choices.
Other Possibly Useful Stuff
d2vzw ROM Extras
Link to TWRP Recovery You can flash the .img file right in TWRP recovery 2.8.4 or later!
- All you ever wanted to know about how Cell service works but were afraid to ask: Cell Wiki
- Samsung Galaxy S 3 the most popular phone of all time? Still? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III
Notes - Possible Bugs
Bluetooth observed as flaky with some connected devices.
CMUpdater apparently only functional with TWRP 2.8.7.0
4G/LTE Data might not start on bootup (lately) - With Wifi disconnected or off, go to Settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names and select one of those not already selected. Give it a few seconds. Should be good till next reboot.
Addendum to Data Issue: If you can't live with the above solution (like me) then downgrading to the ML1 modem has fixed it, seemingly without any ill effects. Modem is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link above.
>>Attention ATT, T-Mobile and other GSM Network Users (International)<<
If you use your d2vzw on one of the GSM networks, you will have to flash the d2gsm_rilblobs.zip file in the 'd2vzw ROM Extras' link above or your phone won't operate properly!
The CyanogenMod team (of which I'm not a member) always thanks everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!
Another Note: CM12 was introduced to our phone first by mastamoon and Invisiblek: Many thanks to them! There may be data on those threads that can help someone, so I've included those links for reference:

@Master Cylinder, you can use mine for now.. http://mastamoon.truelinux.net/firmware/ Just note that you have to flash the firmware first, then the modem. Otherwise the firmware, which contains a modem, will overwrite the newer modem.
CyanDelta sounds greate. However, I get FC with it. Reboot does not help.
I'm on 5/13 nightly.
Anyone has the similar problem?

And you downloaded or had a 5/13 build zip to operate from to setup? And you had at least 750mb free space before pushing the zip over or dloading it? Maybe one needs more than that amount space? When did it fc?
When looking at the Google Apps linked above, what is the difference between arm and arm64?

It's a good thought. Hmmm.... In 2 weeks this will have 15 pages and probably no need to go back, but I'm certainly still open to it if others want it.

Thanks masta. Yeah, I was contemplating putting up Dropbox links (was a little blurry eyed last night.) I just remembered Invisiblek still has some up. Also, I guess I could put up Google Drive links which are never gonna go away....

Yeah I knew I'd left an unanswered question there. They just started listing them this way. Use the 'arm' which is for our phone. I'll update that on the OP, maybe put a little explanation, when I get more coffee in me... :silly:

Great. I love how everyone is quick to answer any questions people have. That's what makes flashing so enjoyable. Anywho, when I do my next flash, I'm going to try using those linked gapps. Changing of it fixing my BT crashes? Probably slim to none. But it's worth a shot!

Would be good to link MM's and amf66’s Invisiblek threads. There's a lot of info and the Cm12x development progressed very quickly, so most info is still fairly current.
But then, I minored in history, sooo....

The speed of progress is what makes those threads age so quickly, but for those of you who are sentimantal, and to afford worthy applause to @mastamoon and @invisiblek, I've put in links.

OK, gonna try a clean install with the gapps in the op. Try not to restore from titanium as much as possible. This last install I had bluetooth problems and lost count of the restarts whether charging or not. See how this goes.......

I have to go into the Bluetooth settings and manually connect my headset whenever I turn it on. I can see it there but it never connects until I select it.

Hmm. Mine always connects, just shuts off randomly. Let me know if it helps. I see the next nightly is quite extensive but so far no BT changes. I plan on trying it though
Fyi, I'm going to go into rehab soon bc I'm having nightlies withdrawal. ???
