02 Xda Zest Wifi problems (help)

I know there are a lot of threads about wifi problems on this site, but i cant seem to find one that has helped me.
My problem is that i am trying to connect to my orange broadband router through the wifi on the Zest. It requires a WEP key which i have, and have entered. Although my desktop PC connects to the router with the network key but uses it as a WPA-PSK key with TKIP encryption. I have also tried to connect my Zest using WPA-PSK but have been unsuccessful. It accepts the key (both as WEP and WPA-PSK) and says that the source is 'Available', but it will not actually connect to the internet. I have tried connecting to another hotspot next to my library (which does not require a key) and have been successful, it becomes available and then connects and i am able to use web browsers via wifi, as usually when i open the browser at home it automatically connects to GPRS/3G, which then costs me extra on my contract.
Any help or suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
noobish error - forgot to press the button on my router that connects new devices
FYI to other Newbies
This can also happen when the user selects (usually inadvertantly) the "WORK" option under "connects me to . . ." section in the wifi setup. When this is selected and all the other settings are set to "my device connects me to . . . 'INTERNET'", then one could have the encryption password correct and have their entire network set up correctly, but the device will STILL fail to connect. Thus, the "connection to" in the wifi network setup and the network adapter, and one's router must all "agree" or connection will not take place.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S6310n doesn't connect with Wifi

I am trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S6310n with my home Wifi (Access Point) but it doesn't connect with it. It saves the connection but couldn't connect with it.
I checked it with another Router (Access Point) on same network but it also didn't work.
Let me mention my network setup at home. I have ADSL 4 ports LAN modem. I have connected my personal Access Point (Wireless Router) "Motorola Netopia" with ADSL modem and configured it as Bridge. I turned on the DHCP Server on ADSL Modem and turned off it in my Access Point.
I did everything to fix this issue such as changing Encryption type, changing Channels, updating AP firmware and resetting Access Point but didn't fix it.
I also assigned a Static IP address to my phone but this also didn't fix this issue.
So can anyone tell me how to fix it?
Thanks

WPS PIN connect - Reaver Pixie dust?

I have router with WPS BUTTON, i don't have PIN in settings, but i recovered PIN with reaver in linux.
Now i downloaded WPS Connect = h tps :/ /play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ngb.wpsconnect - ROOT REQEST
Using normal wifi manager i can't use this PIN to connect to my wifi, but with this program my Galaxy s6 normal connect to wifi.

Gear S2 Wifi Authentication

Am I completely missing something here? Why can I not get my watch on our wifi network. It requires authentication. But if I make sure that bluetooth is enabled. It scans the network and I can see it. However if I try to connect it tells me authentication errors. But I can not find a single spot to add login or password or any authentication option. Only options to connect to wifi are AKA and SIM.. How the heck do I get this thing on a wifi network??
Try disconnecting from Bluetooth and allow your phone to locate your wireless network. You should now be prompted for SSID and password. I personally had a hard time entering a complex password as part of WPA2 requirements. So I enabled WPS on my router and used it to connect my S2 fairly quickly. Furthermore, I don't believe it will use Wifi as long as you are connected to the phone via bluetooth. It can switch to wifi if you are out of the range of bluetooth or choose to use the watch in standalone mode.
Sync your saved wifi information from your Samsung account to your watch. It will log into the wifi network. I had the same problem and after syncing with my phone's saved wifi info it says it's logged in but it will not transfer any data on that wifi network.
Works fine on my home network that only requires a password, but I want it to work everywhere I can connect to wifi with my phone.
Haven't found a solution yet.

Hope to enable WPS

I am trying to connect to a network using the WPS button on the router. There used to be a setting on previous phones to connect via WPS in the network settings but I can't seem to find it. Anybody know what I need to do?
No more wps, support for it has been removed from Android pie
