I have a rooted tab 2 with stock rom jb 4.1.2 but I can't update to 4.2 or newer version every time I do a check for softwar a message saying that my device is modified appear

Unroot or flash with stock rom with odin.
Check update again.

I've unrooted it and still have cwm and still same results device modified

U need to install stock rom through odin and reset flash counter ... Then only u can update ..

Try app named Tringle away by chinafire. Available on xda and playstore. Its wprking for me. Try it

Not only by making request we can get CM, but we have to make sure that some dev with good development skills shows interest on our device.
