hello every one ...
i have rooted galaxy s dous ... i have tried to mod the framework-res.apk using apktool and when i past this apk into the system file and restart my phone it just samsung brand appear and nothing just wating for nothing ... i have the orginal framework-res.apk and i have the orginal stock recovery mod ... any solution to make it back i dont want to wipe to factory

Anyway you can think of to replace the broken framework-res.apk with the back up should work. You can use adb to push the back up into the right place, or something like android commander may work. Or you can make a flashable zip and flash it into place...lots of ways One thing is to make sure that you set the permissions correctly for the new framework-res.apk and/or for the back up when you replace it.

how did u flashed it by clockworkmod or directly via root explorer
You say you edited it, what did you edit? maybe you edited the wrong thing, even if you edit some images wrong it can cause problems.
just a few pngs...havent touched .9.pngs at all
but when i include it in the rom then flash the whole rom including the framework, doesnt work but if i only flash the framework.apk thru CWM it works...i was just wondering why

which pngs did u edit and did u keep them to the same dimensions as they wer before with the same name... and did u get any errors while recompilin....
i have created a new look of systemUI.apk
and now i want to replace it with default one with the Rootexplorer
and reboot
will this work ?
please help me out

y not try youself? ?replace it with original and permissions r w r r and reboot.
dont forget to make a backup in case it didnt work

with ICS theme

but i have pasted alienmods phone.apk and i lost phone apk from my phone and finally i reflashed creeds rom and got all back
but now my friend have defoult Stock GB

this is build.prop for 2.3.6 ddkt3 firmware which is highly tweaked.......
i have collected from xda only so credits to devlopers of this build.prop....
i have just found added properties...
now..u just have to copy this file to system..in stock rom ddkt3..
only....and replace existing file....
rename "build.txt to build.prop"...
sure to have backup......
this build.prop will start your phone in 6 secs really..(for me)..
highly tweaked for touch responsivness,3g,2g, net ,perfomance,video,audio etc.....
just try it...guyzzzz

I was following a tutorial and it said to put a file named "samsungani" and the "bootanimation" zip file into system/bin and the bootanimation zip into system/media. It worked great. Then I downloaded a more exciting one (made for galaxy y) and replaced the bootanimations in the bin and media folders. Now it just stays on the hardwares loading screen without loading a bootanimation?
I hope i'm making a simple nooby mistake.

I made the same mistake too, on 2 devices.
If you have CWM installed, reflash the rom withot a data wipe only a cache wipe. You will keep all your data and your normal bootlogo will come back. Try a different one next time.

Duplicate this stock DXLL1 on your sdcard and extract and replace file on it and zip again for
Antitipate bootloop
And now go into recovery mode and flash with my mod
Tell me if work on your stock rom

Thanks but I've done such experiments before and foreign system files always seem to either cause me bootloops or force-closing on certain apps once the phone starts up.
It's not a problem for me and I'm willing to try because I could make a nandroid backup now, etc, but the problem is I have trouble restoring my sd-ext and all of my installed apps are stored there so a nandroid backup and restore could remove all of my important apps or I'm not sure maybe it won't but I can't take the risk for now.
Please if you could do the procedure I would be very grateful. I've attached my framework-res.apk and android.policy.jar if you decide to do it.

You should post a full method of adding files in framework-res.apk and android policy instead of posting the zip.
