Hi Guys,
I have a few questions, subject: QI Charging
1. Is there any difference in voltage of QI chargers? Because they have chargers for Samsung Note II, Note III, SIII, Nexus 4, Nexus 5.....
I already own one from Zens for my nexus 5. But want to place an pad IN my laptop, so I can put my phone on top of it and CHARGE
Can I use this one?
2. Do you know if a QI-Pad like this can harm hardware in your laptop? I was planning to place it right beside my mousepad, but that's right above the RAM. Anyone knows more about this?
Like to hear from you,
Gino

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this. Does anyone know of a wireless Inductive Charger for the Nexus S. I have seen the Nexus 4 is compatible with QI but I see nothing about NS
Hi man,
No, the nexus S doesn't support QI charging.
cheers.
On another Note 10.1 forum I am reading that only Samsung branded tablet chargers will work with the Note 10.1. Is this true? There are many 5v 2.1 amp chargers that should provide the Note 10.1 the current to charge - particularly if the cable is a Note cable. If the Note is plugged into a PC it will charge - and that is a standard USB port that is the same as most USB chargers.
I would like a spare charger to keep in another location. $50 to Samsung for a second charger is ridiculous. It would also be nice to have a car charger. What is out there that will charge the Note 10.1?
I was posting this on the Note 10.1 Accessories sub-forum but got a message telling me that since this is a question it needs to be posted here.

Question 1: Will stock Samsung Galaxy S3 charger fit note 8.0? I'd like to save some room in my bag and don't want to carry two chargers with me. Specifications and sizes of chargers for GS3 and Note 8 are a bit different. Will it damage the tab or is it just going to charge slower?
Additional question if answer to Q 1 is negative: can I use stock usb cable from GS3 with the charger from Note 8? Not having to carry two usb cables could save some room as well Sorry for lame questions, but I'm not a technician.
Yes I use the S3 charger in the UK

Yes will fit, but it will charges slowly becouse it has just 1.0 Amp output and tje note 8.0 charger has 2.0 Amps. I've tried it and it's charging really slowly.

Try using the note charger for the s3.

This. The S3 will "limit" the charging rate to 1 amp instead of the 2 amps it delivers to the Note 8.
Thank you for all replies. Now I know I don't have to carry two chargers with me As for me, this topic can be closed.

s3 charger is at 1amps
while galaxy note 8 is 2 amps
so yes you can charge, but at a MUCH SLOWER rate
Was on thanksgiving vacation and just lost my Samsung charger for the edge. Where can I buy an original Samsung rapid charger?
I only see the travel charger on their website. Thanks
Probably eBay or Amazon.

I only see chargers from S. Korea, and with non standard wall plugs. Samsung need to get their act together. As much as I despise iphones. At least when they release a phone, accessories and cables are always readily available at their online and retail store.
Now I have no idea where to go to buy an original Samsung charger. it's not available on their website or with ATT/T-Mobile. This is pretty rediculous.

You can use any descent micro usb cable and a 2.1a charger (or better). I have tested mine on a HP touchpad charger, fleabay 2.1a ac chargers ... I even charged my Edge with an ipad 2 charger + my own micro usb cable this morning at work (charged really quickly).
Search eBay, I just did a search and found s bunch of them. Use the term below to do your search.
Samsung Note Edge oem charger

I really wanted the original adaptive fast charger with Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 specs.
I can't tell from eBay if these are just samsung travel charger or the charger with the fast charging specs they heavily promoted
It's just really stupid samsung makes us jump through hoops. I think they literally want us to buy another phone to get a charger. It's nowhere on their website at all.
I ended up buying a tenergy with quick charge 2.0 specs On amazon.
Thanks for everyone suggestion

From what I know the note 4 uses the same charger doesn't it? Might aswell try to find one of those.
Does anyone know? I have a Note II, I intend to buy a Note 6.
I am going to assume (fingers crossed) the Galaxy Note 6 will use the same wireless tech as the Galaxy S7
In the meantime, can I add wireless charging to my house now, by purchasing the right mat?
(Yes, I know I need the induction pad for the Note II, it's cheap online)
I found a website for the charger and it seemed to indicate it supported back as far as the Note 3, not the Note 2?
but it ALSO said "Other devices will charge at standard wireless charging speeds. "
Well upon further googling, while nothing is solid confirmed, I've ordered a regular S6 (third party....) charging dock (upright, don't like the pad) and a 3'rd party wireless internal receiver mat / pad thing. About $18 US shipped.
So I'll update this thread if it's compatible, so it might help others.
Fingers crossed, it passes enough power that my phone can go from say, 40% to 100% in 7 hours sleep?
