Hi AnonFBI,
I have an FNF Ifive x2 unit with defective USB port. But I have Kasty 1.1.5 on it and working CWM installed. Is it possible to install the latest build of your ROM and gapps directly from the sd card without using the flasher tool?

Hi, yes should work but please make sure you can make a backup and restore with CWM because and avoid a software brick.
If you have performance issues i think is because you are in old kernel.img, if you ask me i can help you to make a patch to flash.
Read the installation section with upgrading steps!

Ok, so these are the steps I should follow:
1: BACKUP
2: Flash your ROM and Google Apps(regarding the installation section)
3: Test it
4: Flash new kernel if it's slow
I'm think I'm OK with the first 3 steps. But for kernel flashing I will need your help. So far I only flashed kernel.zip files files onto my devices (Motorola Defy, LG P880), I don't know how to flash .img files.

Anon,
I need help, I flashed the 11.30 ROM then I stucked in bootloop (CM 10.1 logo rotating, then reboot). I did the format as you described and I wiped cache and dalvik. Now I managed to start in CWM Recovery (needs tricks with the buttons, since time interval is very short). Do you have idea what to do next?

No, I did the "upgrading" steps since I had working CWM already.
Upgrading:
1. Wipe cache
2. Advanced > Wipe dalvik cache
3. Mounts and storage > Format /system (this step is very important)
4. Install from internal or external SD card:
- latest CM10.1 .zip build
- GApps
5. Reboot to system
6. Enjoy!
Ok, I start it again this time I flash nand fix before CM 10.1.
I tell you if it works.

The situation is changed a bit. Now it reboots immediately after the "Android is upgrading" and "Starting Apps" steps.
What does this NandFix do? It should flashed AFTER or BEFORE the CM 10.1 zip?

FAQ
Q: I have 2012 or 2013 model?
A:
Download root explorer
Go to system/lib/modules
See if the properties of wlan.ko file, after the date and permissions, are -> wlan_mt6628.ko
If yes you have the 2013 version, if is -> wlan_mt6620 you have the 2012 version
HOW TO
Improve GPS antenna - Difficulty: MEDIUM - guide by Robsup79 - ideas from Frandroid Forum
Scratch tint to the left of the flash of about 8x3 mm
Cut 2mm of copper with a cutter as show, this operation unwire the original antenna from the connector
Isolate with electrical tape to avoid interference, leaving 3x3mm copper contact
Put the new antenna, secure it with a small piece of tape on the bottom to ensure the contact
If you have curved smoothly, the installation of the cover will press to ensure good contact

Hi!
Can you please give a bit more details about the 2.5GB internal memory option?
Does all B92m can have that 2.5GB?
Mine does with the ROM that I am using actually. So what should I do if I wan't to keep it when moving on your ROM?
Some help would be useful since I don'T understand much about the other post.
Thanks!!!

The 2.5gb option expand the internal memory storage to 2.5gb, that's all You can install the rom and and after apply the option if you want, remember that if you do this you have to wipe data, that means factory reset.

Buy year? 2012 or 2013? And the phone was presented as "NEW B92M" or "B92M" ?
Yes first you have to flash the TWRP recovery in your phone, after reboot in recovery and do the upgrade (wipe data/cache/dalvik first)
Hello, for me this rom it's to be the best, and i want to say thank you to Simonkjam :fingers-crossed: !!!
I've resolved all the problems about the software and, finally, all the problems about the gps (all settings are perfect without having to change nothing) together with this guide:
1/scratch tint to the left of the flash of about 8x3 mm
3/isolate with electrical tape to avoid interference, leaving 3x3mm copper contact
4/put the new antenna, secure it with a small piece of tape on the bottom to ensure the contact
If you have curved smoothly, the installation of the cover will press to ensure good contact
P.S. Sorry for my "English"

somehow I bought the phone in mid-January, has 1GB RAM, 2.5 rom. that is, unless it's the new.
in the description it said "* NEU * EZIO S92 4.7-inch 1GB-RAM ANDROID 4.0 GPS 12.0MP HD ..." .....
I downloaded the recovery.img file from the link TWRP Recovery.
swapped it with the original file contained in the ROM.
'll copy the rom to your phone
Now you only need to start the recovery mode and do the upgrade?

sorry for that. but I have to be sure:
1 replace the file recovery.img in the original ROM
2 lose rom zip file to your phone
3 fire recovery mode
4 do first wipe all or after installation
5 Reboot your phone and it should work all right?
I have installed it on my 2012 and so far so good. Good performance. No bug in the display as I have experiment with other ROMs. I think you should give your reference about the Antena though... This comes from Frandroid right?
I would like to get the 2.5 GB internal space. So, How could I do that? Could you please give a short list of the steps?
Thanks a lot! I'll get back in a few days when I would have tested it a bit more!

Installation Instructions
Make a backup!
If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first.
Install ClockworkMod or TWRP recovery with SELinux support. Older CWM will result in a "status 7" error.
Download the ROM and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data/factory reset if coming from stock or another non-CM ROM (You may get a "staus 7" error if you fail to wipe.)
Flash the ROM and then GApps
For GT-I9105 flash nfc destroyer
Reboot your phone
Enjoy!
To upgrade to a newer build, simply flash the zip. There's no need for data wipe or flashing Google Apps again. (However, if you are experiencing strange issues, you may want to try a wipe.)
OTA Updates:
Recommended recovery: TWRP
You will get a notification on your phone when a new version of ROM is available. You can download and install the ROM on your phone via Settings -> About -> CyanogenMod updates. It will download full ROM (not a delta zip)!

Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. The following is a useful format to follow.

I can't check it, my sdcard too slow for that.
setns needs to give permission to access sdcard for third-party applications, I think that it can not affect the formatting sdcard as internal. If you have problems with this, please create a logcat.

Yes. Before this recommended to backup your data from sdcard. If you want to use it like on lp, don't format the sdcard as internal.
No luck with gapps yet. Does now on tap work?

I prefer not to use SD card as internal for the only reason - you won't be able to use your SD externally. If you want to use you'd need to format it and then it becomes usable outside your phone
But it overcomes the space issue in our phone if used as internal.. I can install multiple games.

Bug reports:
CyanogenMod 13 is in development and has several small bugs and missing translations. Complaints/demands/bug reports without logs will be ignored.
Explain how to reproduce the bug and attach logcat and dmesg (if you had a random reboot, also attach last_kmsg). If you don't know how to get those, you can use this app. Please, do not report bugs if you use any kind of mods (like xposed) or third party kernel.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q) Will I get facebook/messenger app fc?
A) You shouldn't! Adreno blobs are now updated and now no dirty hacks required to boot up which in turn broke something.
Q) Where are Developer options?
A) Go to Settings > About phone, and press five times on Build number.
Q) How can I enable root access?
A) Go to Settings > Developer options > Root access, and enable it for apps, adb or both.
Q) I don't like superuser icon in statusbar, can I install SuperSU?
A) Ok yes, but read this. First enable root access from Developer options. Then flash SuperSU zip. Now open SuperSU app. It will say, 'SuperSU binary not installed'. So use TWRP/CWM method to install binaries. (This worked for me)
Q) How can I set 3G only network mode?
A)Method 1: Open Settings, Cellular Networks, now you can select LTE/3G/2G modes in 'Preferred network type' menu.
Method 2: Open dialer, dial *#*#4636#*#* , open first option "Phone Information", there you can set your preferred network mode.
Q) How do I update Gapps? (Also useful if you have Gapps related problems).
A) Reboot to recovery. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Install ROM + Gapps. (Yep, at a time) Reboot.

What is F2FS?
F2FS (Flash-Friendly File System) is a flash file system initially developed by Samsung Electronics for the Linux kernel.
The motive for F2FS was to build a file system that from the start, takes into account the characteristics of NAND flash memory-based storage devices (such as solid-state disks, eMMC, and SD cards), which are widely used in computer systems ranging from mobile devices to servers.
Damn, that was just copy paste from wikipedia and I just didn't get it! So what is F2FS in our language?
It a better file system than ext4 in terms of performance.
Useful Link: http://www.xda-developers.com/f2fs-put-to-the-test-against-ext4/
To get a better idea, XDA forum have a dedicated thread highlighting F2FS features and a very detailed comparison between EXT4 (file system we use by default) and F2FS!
Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697069
So, I liked F2FS and wanna try it! But, how do I?
First of all, backup your internal SD Card as it will be wiped if you are switching to F2FS.
So, to start with, first you'll need a new recovery. I compiled modified TWRP recovery with F2FS support and some other cool features like pressing power button will now switch device display off, also wiping the partitions should not take much time now as it did earlier! (EXT4 users can use the same recovery. I just made it for my convenience)
1. Download TWRP: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24385658843824749
2. In recovery, go to 'wipe' -> 'Advanced Wipe'
3. Check only 'Data' and tap on 'Repair or Change File System' -> 'Change File System'
4. Here select 'F2FS' and Swipe to Change
5. Repeat step 3 and 4 for 'Cache' by checking only 'Cache' in Wipe menu.
6. Reboot! Enjoy!
I want to get back to EXT4 again from F2FS, how should I?
Again, while you are changing your file system, the partition gets wiped. So do backup your data of Internal SD Card and proceed!
1. In recovery, go to 'wipe' -> 'Advanced Wipe'
2. Check only 'Data' and tap on 'Repair or Change File System' -> 'Change File System'
3. Here select 'EXT4' and Swipe to Change
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 for 'Cache' by checking only 'Cache' in Wipe menu.
5. Reboot
PS: Only support for F2FS is added on /data and /cache. It still uses EXT4 by default and is just same as it was in previous builds!
first of all

and a small request " can you add the theme engine from cyanogen os??????"

Introduction
MultiROM is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod. It can boot any Android ROM as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch, once they are ported to that device. Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiROM can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiROM is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. You can see how it looks on the left image below and in gallery. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android ROMs and MultiROM even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.
Features:
* Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
* Restore nandroid backup as secondary ROM
* Boot from USB drive attached via OTG cable
You can also watch a video which shows it in action.
Warning! It _is_ dangerous. This whole thing is basically one giant hack - none of these systems are made with multibooting in mind. It is no longer messing with data partition or boot sector, but it is possible that something goes wrong and you will have to flash factory images again. Make backups. Always.InstallationManual installation
Firstly, there are videos on youtube. If you want, just search for "MultiROM installation" on youtube and watch those, big thanks to all who made them. There is also an awesome article on Linux Journal.
MultiROM has 2 parts you need to install + one optional (deprecated) :
MultiROM (multirom-YYYYMMDD-v33x-taoshan.zip) - download the ZIP file from second post and flash it in recovery.
Modified Recovery (multirom-YYYYMMDD-recovery-taoshan.zip) - download the ZIP file from second post and use a recovery to flash it into the FOTA partition (see TWRP 3 thread for more informations).
DEPRECATED: Patched kernel - You can use those kernels on most Marshmallow and Lollipop based primary ROMs to add kexec boot support.
Be aware that those patchers will be updated when possible after kernel sources updates
Kexec support no longer required thanks to the no-kexec workaround by nkk71.
For convenience reasons, I enabled the workaround by default if kexec is not found.
You current rom will not be erased by the installation.
Download links are in the second post.
Adding ROMs1. Android
Go to recovery, select Advanced -> MultiROM -> Add ROM. Select the ROM's zip file and confirm.
Recommended values are :
Cache : Keep default value
Data : Minimum 4000
System : 1000 is enough for most installs
Updating/changing ROMs1. Primary ROM (Internal)
Flash ROM's ZIP file as usual, do factory reset if needed (it won't erase secondary ROMs)
Go to Advanced -> MultiROM in recovery and do Inject curr. boot sector.
OPTIONAL: Reflash the kernel patcher to add kexec support
2. Secondary Android ROMs
If you want to change the ROM, delete it and add new one. To update ROM, follow these steps:
Go to Advanced -> MultiROM -> List ROMs and select the ROM you want to update.
Select "Flash ZIP" and flash ROM's ZIP file.
Explanation of recovery menusMain menu
- Add ROM - add ROM to boot
- List ROMs - list installed ROMs and manage them
- Inject boot.img file - When you download for example kernel, which is distrubuted as whole boot.img (eg. franco kernel), you have to use this option on it, otherwise you would lose MultiROM.
- Inject curr. boot sector - Use this option if MultiROM does not show up on boot, for example after kernel installation.
- Settings - well, settings.
Manage ROM
- Rename, delete - I believe these are obvious
- Flash ZIP (only Android ROMs) - flash ZIP to the ROM, for example gapps
- Add/replace boot.img - replaces boot.img used by this ROM, this is more like developer option.
- Re-patch init - this is available only for ubuntu. Use it when ubuntu cannot find root partition, ie. after apt-get upgrade which changed the init script.

FAQ and other notes
FAQ and other notesAbout security
In order to make multi-booting possible, MultiROM has to sacrifice some security measures. Firstly, on secondary Android ROMs, /system is not mounted read-only. While there are other things preventing malicious software from messing with /system, this might potentialy make it easier for such software to attack that system.
Next, MultiROM doesn't work with /data encryption. Not many people who use custom ROMs also use encryption anyway, so that isn't much of a concern.
What do the ROMs share?
All ROMs are separate, except /sdcard, which is shared between all Android ROMs.
Why is my USB connection to computer not detected ?
Uncheck the "Enable ADB" option in MultiROM Settings.
How many ROMs can I have?/Where are the ROMs stored?
You can have as many ROMs as you can fit in your /sdcard. All the ROMs are stored in /sdcard/multirom/roms or on an USB drive./external SD card. This folder is unaccessible in Android, to prevent mediascanner from scanning it. You can either in recovery, or obtain root and go to /data/media/0/multirom/roms.
Can I have different versions of Android working alongside?
Yes.
The menu with all the ROMs won't show up during boot, how to fix it?
Either re-flash the MultiROM zip or go to recovery, Advanced -> MultiROM -> Inject curr. boot sector.
The reason for this is that something rewrote your boot.img, which happens for example when you flash a kernel. MultiROM's boot menu is part of the boot image, so it has to be added into it again.
The installation fails with "trampoline not found -1"
Often the issue appears because the ROM zip has a nested zip for rooting methods. Best solution is to remove the root zip from the ROM and flash it separately later.
Something wrong happened, I lost something or it's really laggy
You have been warned about making backups & the fact this is more experimental than stable.
You alone will be responsible for loosing data or having an usable ROM when you really needed it.
Everyone in this thread will try to help you, but we can't do backups of your data ourselves.
Thanks for your understanding, remember to read the previous comments and please try to help each other.Current local manifest of the MultiROM build

You are the best
Honestly, I never imagined that I'll be able to see multiRom on Xperia L
Thanks Dev.
Awesome dev!
Will test it as soon as possible!
Thanks!
Awesome! Will test it for sure
WTF (What The Fantastic)
You're the best I'll try it ASAP
Just wanna make things clear
1. Can I install it without reflashing the current ROM?
2. Installing Rom to external SD Card Won't format and delete all the data?
So it doesn't mess with memory partition??
That means there's no hardbrick just (maybe) softbrick.
Again thank you very much. For your hard work

No chances of bricking at all if you follow instruction and flash it correctly.
Wow. Extremely awesome, thanks for making this for Xperia L!
Just two questions: Does this work by "unpacking" the rom on external memory and booting as if it was internal? Also, how do we get Ubuntu (or any other Linux distro) to run on our device? (are there flashable zips for that?)

Hi! Thanks for the rom. Looks real nice!
However, I'm getting the screen blinking with v2.1, it flashes on and off about every second. I've tried reflashing, disable auto brightness and GPU options in developer menu. Is there any fix?

Thanks for the update, but I still have the screen flicker sadly.
I don't know which model Umi London I have (I don't know where I can find it).
I didn't do a clean install from 2.1 to 2.3 (maybe that's why there still screen flicker?).
I tried the '5002w_patch', no change.
Any suggestions?

full wipe is needed to flash this rom. but if the screen still flickers then you are having a kernel issue. meaning 3.18.35 compiled by vo-1 isnt for your device (5002w variant) ..i really am still confused about this phone because one of the member of my site with 5002w london reported that the ROM (aosp 7.1.1) is working fine on him only the camera focus isnt working but working for me.
Hi.
com.android.phone has stopped after clean flash of any version linked in OP. Either with sim inserted during phone setup or after. Tried typical solutions cleaning caches etc, nothing helps. I noticed it dowloaded some messed up apn settings, so I added my provider settings and same story. SIM is working in another phone andprocess is crashing with other sims too.

Will port to my device soon any known bug?
This is what keep coming up when I port this Rom... How can I fix it?
I am trying to install any of the AOSP roms to Umi London (Umidigi W5002), no success. I was on stock 20170725, then installed TWRP and tried any of the AOSP versons, but is goes to infinite bootloop.
Bootloop is caused with and without the W5002 patch).
Recovery and fastboot are working perfectly. I OEM unlocked the stock rom from dev.options and thru fastbot, just to mention. Any solution or advice wil be helpful. Thanks.
Hello guys!! As i can remember i dont have any issue with the dialer. If you want a clean port with this rom grab the latest aosp 7.1.1 by snowcatpda (google his name and youll see his site where he put his roms for mt6580) then grab my port aosp 7.1.1 final's files -- framework-res, settings.apk systemui.apk..
This rom works fine with enforcing, permissive is likely making the rom unstable but with this init.d works well.
My umi died few months ago- cracked screen, wet hardware. So i can no longer help you guys.
