So the N5 takes pictures with an aspect ratio of 4:3, but the video aspect ration is 16:9. Is there anyway that anyone knows to get the N5 to take 16:9 photos?

I was wondering, is Widescreen (16:9) option in camera settings good or bad ?
I mean, i know it gives less than 8mp picture.
But what do you think ppl? Are pictures taken with widescreen on better quality than widescreen off ? What do you use ? What do you recommend to use?

I think it's personal preference, But with the amaze camera and a camera mod, I will get 4.5mb photo's in 16:9
and then 7.5mb photo's in the old 4:3, So depends on what your using it for but in my experience there is more detail in the 4:3 format, And I use 4:3 for that reason

i use the amaze camera mod as well but i hate having my pictures cut off on my sexy 4.3 inch screen. lol so i use 16:9. i dont think u will notice much of a difference in quality from the 16:9 to 4:3 unless u blow up the picture really big.

I find 720x480 stupid, can we at least record in some Standard 16:9 resolution if not in 720p? And what is the maximal resolution it can take video?

Is there a setting where I can turn on to shot videos that can fit my wide screen TV? Whenever I shot a video with the Sensation it is soo slim and narrow. I understand the whole aspect ratio deal, just dont get why the aspect ratio is soo slim and narrow with the sensation.

Like the title implies with the stock u11 sense camera Is there a way to take pictures in 16:9 but with the full 12MP with HDR on?
It can't - because the size ratio of image sensor is 4:3. If you want 16:9 it won't be full 12 MP.
What is the reason for 3 extra MP? It does nothing for quality of the picture.

My previous LG G4 had 16:9 sensor, and I have to admit it, that I really miss it, because now I have to crop image to such aspect ratio, but G4 had full 16:9 uncropped image - better, because more was captured.
P.S. Not talking about quality, but sensor.

I have a S9+, and was wondering if it's possible to change the aspect ratios on the camera app. Maybe try the Samsung's camera SDK. I know the 960fps mode shoots at 1280x720, which is a 16:9 aspect ratio with 921,600 active pixels. I was wondering if it's possible to edit the camera app and shoot at something like 1536x600 instead? Shouldn't be any extra work from the processor as it's the same amount of active pixels, just less vertical ones and more horizontal. Same goes for the 240fps mode but at a different resolution. I'm just wondering if this is possible before I decide to spend an awful lot of time trying to get this to work. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
