Lenovo Yoga Tab 8 - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I have recently purchased a Lenovo yoga tab 8 and I like its design but there a few things that are bugging me and i would like to find a solution to:
1. The ROM it is not very slick or user friendly and i would much rather have something more standard if someone could adapt something like cyanogenmod or PAC mod to work with my tablet
2. The processor is a bit sluggish so is there any safe ways of overclocking and raising the clock speed of the processor?
Thanks in advance
Shaun

Changing font sizes resolution!

Hi everyone
I just bought my Galaxy Plus 7 and upgraded it to ICS. Ive been using an original Galaxy Tab 7 for 2 years and still going great, running Gingerbread. Love my tab so much but really starting to get bit slow, specially with some newer apps.
When side by side with my original Tab 7 that has GREAT legibility and all large icons and fonts, on the new Plus all fonts are very small and all is too tiny and difficult to see on the screen. Its really bad and I need fix this.
Which app/s can be used to change DPI? I searched on Google Market and there are lots of apps they all say they do the same better then the other one but I dont know which one to choose..
Thank you a lot in advance for hints or recommendation on apps and DPI settings for the new Tab:cyclops::cyclops::cyclops:

Check the Device Suggestions thread and let them know what your budget is and what you'd like the tablet to be able to do.

I have a Nexus 10 and have been really happy with it. I will say that the stock ROM is a bit buggy which hopefully Google will sort out soon. I've been running several custom ROM's and have found the, to be much more stable. The screen is gorgeous btw!
depending on your budget i would suggest going either for nexus 7 or the nexus 10. both are really good tabs

You may want to wait a few months for the new tablets to come out with Nvidia Tegra 4.
But if you must buy a tablet right now, it depends on what you want and your budget. Here is a last of tablets and some things about them:
Asus Transformer TF700: Attachable keyboard, nice Asus apps, fast OTAs, fast processor, good gaming device
Nexus 10: Fastest processor on the market, gets updates before any other brand devices (direct from google)
Nexus 7: Cheap, decent processor, gets updates at the same time as Nexus 10
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (Not Galaxy Tab 2 10.1): Multiview, stylus, Samsung mini apps, TouchWiz (Some people hate TouchWiz but I like it), decent processor.

Need some help with picking an 8inch tablet

So I'm in the market to get an 8.x inch tablet but Id like one with good custom rom support. I had a nexus 9 and just didnt like it, no matter what I did it just felt sluggish.
I have a dell venue 7000 series 8inch tablet not but im going to give that to a family member, and it has no custom rom support. Honestly if it just had a custom kernel id keep it as I think some kernel cleanup and a little OC would make that device just about perfect.
I was looking at the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 inch but it seems as though no one wants to support that device either.
7 inch tablet are just a little too small and 10 is too large to carry/hold one handed comfortably.
Do you guys have any suggestions?

Samsung tab 2 p3113 questions.

Hi guys,
Completely new to all this so please excuse the noob questions. I’ve rooted a crappy android device before but installing a new OS worries me a bit.
Anyway...
So I’ve got an old 7 inch tab 2 (GT p3113) and it’s slow but functional. My main questions are these three:
1. It currently has 4.2.2 installed- does this make any difference to installing a lineage OS?
2. Will I notice any meaningful improvement in speed/performance for stuff like browsing or watching a video on VLC or YouTube etc?
3. Is 14.1 the only one my tab will hande or should I go for one of the Omni roms for my model? (I have no idea what I’m talking about at this stage).
The second question is the main concern for me; I don’t really want to go through the process of wiping a functioning Samsung tab (even an ancient one) only to realise there’s no significant improvement.
Apologies if this is basic stuff but I only found out today I could even do this- there are remarkably few decent review videos on YouTube for the p3113.
Many thanks in advance,
Joe.
