I'm using Seanz's Sky note r9z rom with a N7105 - really good rom. i have a pattern lock assigned to the lockscreen and was wondering if it's possible to have the stock android functionality where I can swipe to the right to instantly get the camera?

Yes. You can try any of custom 3rd party lockscreen apps. Hope any among could satisfy you

have you tried usind codename android ROM ?
it has that feature and works great
i like the AOKP milestone
i Dont want to change it
but if the a rom can give this option i believe there is a way to mass up with the system files to get the same result any one knows how ?
any new ideas ?

Hello Folks.
The time has come that alot of people are switching from touchwiz roms to Google Edition Roms or Cyanogenmod.
Well i currently use a Google Edition Rom JB4.3.
But, there are a few things that i really miss from the touchwiz roms:
- Stock/transparant/semi transparant Accuweatherwidget
- Besides the regular wallpaper, you can set a different wallpaper as lockscreenwallpaper.
I really want this on my Google Edition rom and it would be perfect if someone could inform me about an existing thread (could find it) or sometin else.

On my version of 4.3 I go to Settings > Security > Lock Screen > Background to change the wallpaper. Hope it works for you :good:

Hi, I'm using Slimbean beta5 (4.3) for the i9300. My apologies but I wrongly assumed that the menu layout would be the same on any 4.3 ROM. I will be getting the i9505 on Tuesday so will look into this for you. The only other things I can think of are Settings > Display > Wallpaper and see if it gives you separate Home & Lock screen options OR choose a picture from gallery and see what options 'Set as' gives you.
With regards to the accuweather widgets, there are certainly enough zips and apk's available on XDA but it will be a case of trial and error as to which work on your 4.3 ROM and those that don't.
If you do find a solution to either please post back as I too would be interested.

I want to request a MOD (or a way) to use ONLY the app drawer with all its features and settings options from Go Launcher EX without using the launcher itself. I really like the auto folder-sort feature and settings in-particular.
I'm on a Sprint Note 3 SM-N9005 running custom ROM X-NOTE (ND5 base) build 15.0 with it's Beast Mod kernel.

Depends, Gravity has this option as a Xposed Mod.
BUT, If your using the new Good Lock that has a new UI
Then this option will not work, Only on the Default TW Recents Panel

No its not possible. The Camera is tied to the Touchwiz Framework on stock firmware. Like almost everything on Samsung stock.
But aosp has improved alot so you can use 3rd party cameras to get pictures close to stock.
And a tip for the next time: please use the search function because this was asked a million times.

Tank you, but I said that the rom will be based on stock firmware. We just need to delete all Samsung Apps like calender, launcher, alarm, keyboard.... and replace them by Gapps.
And please, what camera app do you use on Aosp?
