Hello everyone,
I recently set light manager for whatsapp notification with a 3 second blinking-green led, the fact is: sometimes when i receive a wa message the led does not stop blinking, even after watching the message itself or after deleting the notification from the notification center. I did not noticed any relation between the problem and other running application or wa contacts, it happens randomly. I read the faqs of the application and set the notification setting of the apps like the faqs said.
Does anybody has the same problem / know how to fix it?

Update: i tried to uninstall and install the app again, And Herr we go: same bug, this time with the light blue led of Facebook messenger -.-".

I noticed the same thing with light manager. Random light notifications without real events.
I hear light flow is good. It seems a bit too fully featured for what I need though.

Hello all,
I have tried to find any app and informations about ability to notify about missed calls, new sms and emails by blinking or red LED (from green one). Even the change of frequency of green one would be nice. I have tried fews apps but no success. Is it impossible due hardware specs ? Thank you a lot.

This is my first motorola phone in a longg time, so apologies if this is some well known thing.
Is there a way to change the settings for the LED?
I like that FB is blue and my texts are Green, but then my emails seem to also be Green... Would rather Gmail be red or something.

Where are the controls to turn on these light notifications (for received text, for example)? I didn't know the default settings used the notification light at all. If I had, I might not have gone looking for an app
To answer your question, there is an app called 'Light Flow' that allows you to customize the notification LED for different events. You can change things like colors and flashing speed for different app notifications (text, gmail, calendar notification, missed calls, low battery, etc) and also add other apps so that their notifications can trigger the LED.
There is a 'Lite' version of the app that is fully functional so you can try it out. I just started using it but I really like it so far.
No idea, mine were on by default haha.

Lightflow is awesome!
I now have my led turn orange when charging and green when charged! How did Moto forget something so basic?

Thanks to Vector for pointing out Light Flow. Between the mysterious, single, unread text message imported from my old phone and all of the emails sent out by groupon et all in the middle of the night, the green light was flashing all night.Thankfully, Light Flow has a sleep mode that turns the light off at night.
I was ready to return the phone as it was keeping me up. Really appreciated!

All of a sudden the notification LED as stopped blinking whenever I receive a whatsapp message or even a facebook notification.
To check whether the link was damaged itself,I installed light flow and after setting a specific non-white color for an activity , it just blinks with a somewhat-white light.
What exactly is the problem ?
Just performed the LED Test using Light Flow and these were the colors I saw
white
red
pink
purple
blue
LED seems to be working..then is this some 4.4.2 bug ?

Have you tried rebooting? I know it's a silly question but I've had a few instances where the LED doesnt notify me and a reboot solves the issue. It's not a persistent thing tho so it doesnt bother me. I tend to reboot my phone at least 2 times a day

The problem was linked with Hangouts app. After it was updated,all LED notifications stopped working so I cleared its data. Now everything is fine

I'm getting some notification delay on my OPO, I've listed out the behaviour of each app:
Sliding Messaging (SMS): instant, LED flashes, vibrates
Pushbullet: instant, LED flashes, vibrates
Gmail: Nearly instant (10secs), LED flashes, vibrates
Steam chat : No LED, no vibrate, but notification pops up shortly after screen is switched on
FB Messenger: nothing at all until I open the Messenger app. Not even a notification (process and service was running in background)
Whatsapp: nothing at all until I open the Whatsapp app. (process and service was running in background)
Any ideas on what's going on? I've checked settings on all those apps and notifications are enabled. Coloured LED flashes are preset from Display > Notification LEDs.
I'm able to test most of these myself from my spare phone and PC with 2nd gmail/facebook accounts. Not easy to test Whatsapp though.

Yep, me too, but mainly just WhatsApp. Getting notifications coming in without any delay on everything else and some days WhatsApp is fine the next day nothing comes in without opening the app. Its so unpredictable. Never had this happen on any other phone, just my OPO.
Not using greenify or denied wakes for those apps affected have you?

Yes, settings -> display and there should be notification led or notification light. For me it is the last entry but I have german language.
But it uses only 3 colors.
I tryed to change the color for text messages but if i chose another color the notofication led would not show any reaction.

As far as I know, LED colors are : green, red, yellow some people manage to get white, I didn't.
You can use Lightmanager to deal with the LED. It's working.
You can also use the builtin led notification in some apps like Handcent, WhatsApp ...
Whith the EMUI notification, I only manage to get green.
Indeed when the phone is charging, the charging notification is shown and no other notifications can be displayed.
My notification led doesn't work when I get notifications from facebook or facebook messenger, although notification led is turned on in settings and is also turned on in facebook app.
I'm not sure but I thought it worked in the beginning. I've tried light manager to change the color for various notifications and now i don't get the led to flash when I get facebook / facebook messenger notifications (I'm not sure if it worked before I tried light manager).
I've also tried a factory reset of my honor 6, but still the led doesn't blink. With whatsapp and other notifications, the led works.
Can somebody confirm this problem or can somebody confirm that the led works normal with facebook at his honor 6?

I've got an H60-L04, original with EMUI 3.0, not rooted
