I'm looking for a time clock app, specifically a time clock app for the employer. What I would like to is to replace my current time clock with something a bit more sophisticated. What I'm looking for is an app that would allow my employees clock in and out from a tablet, as opposed to using a paper time sheet and a stamp clock. I've found the perfect app, but it's for IOS, I'm looking for an Android equivalent. Below is the App for IOS;
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/timeclock-st/id385234321?mt=8
I'd be even better if there was an app like the one above but that worked with RFID.

Ok so there are a few PSN widgets on the market none of them really take the cake. The one I have now is my favorit with just a few flaws. First I have PSN Friends Widget, its a great widget that if you go pro it will even send you notifications when a friend signs in to PSN. My biggest grip is that its an odd size widget its a 2x2 and its ugly lol. It does what it should very well but it is ugly. I am going to hit up the developer to see if he will make some skins.
Lets talk PSN dream widget maybe someone could develop and Id be more then happy to donate. Ok so for starters the widget needs to come in more then one size. Like say 4x2 would be perfect. Second, it needs skins. Third, it needs to have settings that allow you to let it sync similar to the weather, as in you can set your time intervals according to how you want it. anywhere from 15mins to 6hrs. You get the point. Lastly it would be great if we could get a notifications in the notification bar whenever someone signs in to PSN. OH and one more thing, the PSN friends widget when you click it has a pop out window that has an option for settings refresh and buy the pro version. I think it would be better if the widget its self was scrollable and then those type of obtions lay at the bottom of the scroll.
The PSN Friends widget does all the above except it doesnt have skins and it doesnt do diffrent sizes and ADW breaks it when it tries some odd sizes.
Hi,
Do you know any weather app that does not have running service?
Yes, weather forecast app that can pull data "manually" ...
No need periodic / interval update ...
Widget is not necessary either ...
Moved to Q&A BW, Fancy widget, and even the default news and weather app has this I believe
Most have these "features" and I don't really like that either. I've noticed that most of them will let you change the frequency that they pull info. Some down to 12 hours.
Fancy widget has lots of refresh options. One of them being to only refresh weather manually.
Thanks for all the suggestions. At the end, I ended up with (again) Beautiful Widget 1x1 (I already bought this when I use HTC Desire).
The reason that I want to find this kind of weather app, because I want to limit the number of running (background) services.
So, I replaced the Beautiful Widget Home widget with "simiClock" because it is simple, elegant and uses black background (save battery life).
simiClock has weather info as well ... But it does not have forecast.
That's why I was looking for weather app which can be activated (launched) when I press the simiClock weather.
But, it seems I cannot find one ... The one with update/interval can be controlled (I am not weather obsessive guy, so manual update is the best for me).
At the end, I am back with Beautiful widget weather 1x1 ... until I found a nice weather forecast app to launch from simiClock
I purchased the Weatherbug Elite. It has the options to turn off the background processing and only grab weather data when you run the app.
it's unfortunate, but i'm running into the same situation
i want to disable the back ground processing of the weather app that i like, but the app doesn't have such a feature/option
the app is supplied directly from The Weather Network, and it's very accurate, all the other apps that i've tried before are not so great
Try WeatherPro, best weather app imo
try Fancy widget... you'll love it! great app
Moxier World is by far the best I've found.
It updates either automatically or manually.
It also shows local time and weather in as many world locations as you need. It has 5 days forecast for each.

Click to collapse
it has a background process
yes, it is nice, it's what i'm using
Try this out. It has an option to set update interval (or disable update entirely)
It's amazing that I have Android now almost four years, and when I read you, I feel like a complete outsider.
ll Get to the point.
Phone: HTC One X
Android 4.1.1
HTC SENSE: 4 +
Root: No, and I'm not interested
Launcher: Nova
What am I looking for: Google Play Apps
Icons
After several months of boredom and disappointment Android, I decided to infuse a new spirit into him, with Nova upgraded icons and some liken it to the fashion of iOS, but better iOS, Android as it approves. I threw new icons pack called MIRO EX and they present themselves as follows (attachment 1)
According to my untutored eye, it's really cool-looking, but I'm open to suggestions of other icons (the more so that, for example, or Wordpress Endomondo completely here does not look great). They can be round, square, I leave here you a complete freedom of choice. It is important for me is only possible to keep the original appearance of the icons of business, or to look like Spotify, Facebook with those characteristic elements likef M of Gmail but do not want to set, for example, where all the icons are silver
clock
I'm interested in a cool clock widget, modern and light. I do not want a typical HTC sheets rewinding digits, or a round of kitsch, but modern, white, light font, it can be a weather or cus, but the clock itself is most important.
widgets
Without the above clock, I'm using only two widgets. They are: Spotify and energy management. Is there a tool that allows you to rearrange the widgets in a little less wet behind the ears? As you can see I'm trying to make your Android affordable and reasonably lightweight (I do not know if I manage it, a subjective matter), and these two black widgets I would gladly have changed into something clear ...
The lockscreen
Sometimes I see screenshots of people with androids in the network and smoke with envy, these are such beautiful pictures lock! And in my standard, ugly ring and is still the standard icons. Can it replace for something affordable? If so, how is this type of application is called and that you recommend? (attachement 2)
I didn't read all of this. But you should give uccw a go, for clocks etc.
And also, widget locker. Gives you the best customisation withoit rooting.
There are also lots of nice transparent widgets, I suggest thinking of what you want the widget to do first, then try and find a nice looking one. But pure calender (music etc) are quite nice. And simple rss widget is nice too. But the best thing to do, as I said, is to search for transparent or something.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
So does anyone have a simple temperature widget? I had been using one of the Moto clock widgets with the outside temperature in the widget but have switched to a new clock widget that doesn't have the feature. While it's not the end of the world it is something that I might like to have. I've looked at a few and they're all big and/or combined with clock widgets which don't go with my theme. I'm really looking for a simple widget that all it shows is the temperature and then when tapped could take you to the actual weather app that it's attached to... I've found a couple that'll put it on the notification bar and when you pull down on the shade, but I wasn't terribly impressed. Any suggestions?
Forgive me, I haven't played with much Android customization beyond the options in Nova Launcher since my Skyrocket days, and I haven't done any coding since the late 80's in BASIC and tiny bit of PASCAL so compiling custom stuff isn't something I'm interested in. What I want is the look of minimalist launcher were I can control the name of the app, for example "Internet" for my browser, whichever it may be, and have a list of half a dozen similar text shortcuts on my home screen.
There are several minimalist launchers out there that have the look of what I want, but I cannot change the name of the app- the minimalist launchers which do allow me to change the name of the app have other crap on the screen (like the alphabet on the right hand side representing the app drawer) which I do not want. I'm thinking the simple solution here is for me to create a widget (shortcut) with a simple text icon and it just launches the app I link to it. And no, I haven't named any of the dozen or so of launchers I have been trying out of respect to the hard word the dev's put into them. Not trying to call anyone out here, just looking for a back door into my weird solution. I'd be perfectly happy with a simple launcher which allows app re-naming and text shortcuts, but I think the proper direction is a widget which just acts as an app shortcut.
Something like this:
Internet
Phone
Voicemail
Text
Internet
Navigation
And a simple swipe up for the rest of the app drawer. I am a very light user, I hate 'social media,' don't use my phone for video streaming or any of that stuff and will be running a de-Googled Nexus 5 on Oreo that will only leave my desk on those occasions which I foresee the need for an actual mobile device on my person that day.
Yeah yeah, my next cake day is the big Five-Oh. Shoot me.
