Does WatchESPN work for anyone?

Wasn't sure if it's just me, but I can never get this app to work. My carrier is Comcast and I was excited to see that ESPN finally added them. But when I go to watch a game, I receive an error "Unable to play video."
Wasn't sure if it's my phone (running tweaked 3.0), my carrier, or just the app...

Probably the app IMHO. Worked great for me a few weeks ago on the Charge but I had to watch as a 24 hr guest because my cable provider Time Warner wouldn't log me in although it says Time Warner is supported. Thus after the 24 hr preview, I uninstalled the app.
I used it earlier today to watch a game, provider is comcast

Don't think ESPN supports Comcast.

fyi: I finally got it working. Oddly enough I had to signout of the app and signed back in. Hurray!
I couldn't get the app to play for weeks. Then I finally disabled my ad blocker and restored my hosts file, and the app worked. Wish I would have tried that earlier.

This is suddenly showing up under dun nai. It was blank. Is this new in ice? It wasn't there immediately following the update.

Dun is dial up networking which identifies your device when you use tethering. I remember having to disable dun back on the dinc2 but I don't know if it is still necessary.

I was thinking when tethering was free on the thunderbolt that string was in place under dun but that they removed it with one of the first updates. Anyway, it is showing up there now for whatever reason.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda app-developers app
They may be trying to monitor tethering again for whatever reason.

Good to know. I pay for hotspot so I'm covered. Thanks!

Isn't that service free now? I thought the share plan included tethering.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
I'm not on a share plan. I'm still on nationwide with unlimited therefore I have to pay for tether.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda app-developers app
If this ever becomes a problem, I remember being able to flash back to a pre-July 2011 stock ROM to get free, legit tethering back, not that I would use HTC Mobile Hotspot over vanilla Android wireless tethering =)
But yeah recall the July 2011 update that updated the Mobile Hotspot app so that it would not work without your being a tethering plan subscriber, Verizon's cool like that.

I pay for mobile hotspot. That's why it showing up baffles me. Maybe its supposed to be like that, I don't know. I read where someone mentioned that was what it was supposed to show prior to the update that removed tether. I am on stock ics at this time.

If tethering works, I wouldn't worry.

Yeah, its cool.

I dont see the utility of this app.. Why I should avoiding others from let them know I'm using the Web browser? It's a crime?

It is not a crime. The utility of this app is so no one knows what you are browsing, it's for privacy.

Why does the XDA app suck?

I have bought the premium version the HD for tablet and no matter what device or Internet connection you have the app sucks. It is slow, constantly connecting to server, skips all around when scrolling through forums behaves oddly and just crashes every so often.
How can the site with arguably the best collection of devs, modders, hackers, designers and tech enthusiasts have such a low quality app? I'm assuming it is still based off tapatalk? As I don't use that app is it to blame for performance issues I'm genuinely just curious?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'll have to agree with you. And the xda app has become buggier over the years. It's always been buggy but is at its worst now. I still use it.... frustrating. Premium version as well

It is funny how xda hosts so many developers but cannot make a good app.
Yep. App is terrible. Now I can't even quote the right person, or than them. It selects the post above it.

Never liked that app.
Like the carpenters house without any doors I guess
Just use tapatalk .
I think that's what the majority of the users here use.

You're the only person I've seen complaining that torrent clients won't work. It probably has something to do with your connection.
