Installed bluetooth and now USB doesn't work

I got a bluetooth dongle (http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11866) and I got it working and its working overall pretty well. But now all the sudden when I plug my phone in though USB it doesn't work anymore. It still charges but now it doesn't do anything when connected via USB. Activesync doesn't recognize it and doesn't do anything at all when I plug in my HTC Fuze through USB.
I like bluetooth but I like using my phone for tethering and not to mention bluetooth burns through battery.
So what could be going wrong?
I have no idea what could have messed it up because it just all the sudden stopped working. I have tried everything and yet nothing helps. I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times and looked through all the drivers. Usually I hate posting threads like these asking for help but I really have nothing left to do anymore
anyone? I really have tried to figure this out and its killing me. I have tried everything on the book and have poured through pages of google searches...not quite sure what there is left for me to do...

Phone will not connect as USB

I'm currently on Beans 13 rom and noticed that I cannot connect my phone to my computer via usb, all it will do it charge, I will not get a notification to use usb mass storage or anything like that. I uninstalled the drivers, rebooted my computer and phone, installed the drivers again and still does not give me the usb notification.
I then remembered that I did a nandroid on Beans 12 so I loaded that up and tried connecting to my computer and had the same exact issue. I took my phone to my roommate's laptop who also has a verizon S3 and tried connecting to his laptop. Still just charges, no notification.
I connected his S3 using the same exact cord to my computer and my computer recognizes his phone (although he is 100% stock).
I decided to try and Odin back to 100% stock. I loaded up Odin on my computer (Win 7 Pro 64 bit) and rebooted my computer into the odin/download mode and my computer/odin didn't recognize my phone. At this point I am at a lost. I have a suspicion that maybe the usb port on my phone went bad but in order to replace it with Verizon, I need to odin back to stock. Any one have any ideas?
I apologize if this has been covered before, I used the search and didn't see anything relating this.

I'm having the exact same problem with my GS3. The problem started after I flashed Beans B13 as well. I directly downloaded MDOB (it's a stock rooted ROM) and flashed it, but I am still having the issue. I haven't been able to figure it out either. Hopefully someone on here can help us out!
Well I think I solved the problem - at least for me. I tried the USB cable from my Dad's Droid X. Plugged the phone into the computer and everything works. No errors and the drivers installed correctly. I tried the cable that came with my phone (the one I have always used and has worked up until now) and it doesn't work. I get the error with it, but as soon as I use the one from the DX again, it works! Not sure why that is but I would say give it a try for sure! Let me know if it works for you too!
By the way, I got the idea from this thread:

Take a look if trying the new cable doesn't work!

Thanks for replying back! I meant to add a post. I got my phone working again. My roommate and I took apart the tip of my usb cable (the one that came with the phone) and noticed the green wire was broken off, so we soldered it back on and my phone was able to connect to my computer finally. Although it wasn't a strong connection and kept disconnecting.
For now I'm using a different cable from my hp touchpad and it's working perfectly fine so everything is all good now

That's good to hear! I guess both of our cables just went bad from use or something. Wish I would have tried another cable sooner instead of spending 4 hours installing and uninstalling drivers and wiping and installing ROMs over and over trying to solve the issue! :silly: But good thing we both figured it out! :victory:
I'm having the same problem as well...have now tried 4 different cables, hard reset, and every USB port on my machine and my buddy's computer to no avail. I verified the cables were 'good' on my buddy's gf's gs3 and it worked fine...just wont see mine. Charges just fine just no go on getting any data pass through it seems???

[Q] Strange problem with charging and internet

Hey guys, so I've been having a strange problem with my phone. When I'm using the phone and charging it at the same time my WiFi slows down. However when I use AT&T data it's fine. Then I connected my phone to my computer and it slowed the internet on my computer. I've never had this problem before. When I'm not charging everything is fine. Help!

No longer charges correctly when switched on - USB connection is intermittent.

Yesterday everything was fine with my One, but today if I connect it to my PC with USB cable, it keeps dropping the connection and fails to charge or let me copy files across (it can't keep the connection up for more than a few seconds, then drops, then reconnects again).
If I turn the phone off, it seems to charge correctly without issue.
I am using the exact same cable I was using yesterday, and my old phone works fine on this so I'm led to believe it's some kind of software issue.
The only difference I can work out is that I upgraded to 38R, is this a known bug?
How can I fix this??

Upgrade to 44S or switch to nightlies
Just upgraded to 44S, makes no difference, is there any way to diagnose this issue!?!?!
Ok so this seems to be an issue when connecting to USB 3 ports, if I connect to USB 2 ports it works fine, any ideas why?

Nougat Bootloop?

So I just took the update last night and everything seemed great until this morning. I got up checked emails, headed to work and listened to my phone over bluetooth in my car like usual. Then almost as soon as my phone disconnected from my car it restarted. Thought that was weird but no concern. Then realized that after about 1-3 mins after every restart it would restart again (so not technically bootloop but still just as annoying.
Is anyone else having an issue similar to this?
EDIT: I've narrowed it down to be something wrong with having WIFI on!
I thought since it started doing this after using the bluetooth in my car I would try turning that off. Nope still restarts. Next restart I turned WIFI off and it didn't restart again after letting the phone sit for a little bit. Turn wifi back on and immediately the phone restarted again.
Backing up my files now and will probably attempt a factory reset to see if that fixes it. (unless there's some other solution anyone can think of)?
