Hello,
if I use the USB Power adapter and the USB cable from Google, I get a charging speed of about 6-7 % per 10 minutes.
When I use USB Power adapter from google and the USB cable from my kindle, the charging speed is half.
How can this be ?

Hi guys,
I have an odd question, but I need an answer, specially from one who knows about electronics behaviour. Ok, here is my case:
I'm in a hurry, have to recharge my device fast. Charging using the charger are more faster than using USB-to-PC cable. But while I'm charging, I also need to access my files. Unfortunately, the device only have 1 USB port. What to do? I bought a HTC Y-Cable that provides me with 2 USB port. Now the question is, if I connect my charger to USB Port #1 and my USB-to-PC cable to USB Port #2, does that mean I'm double charging? And if I am double charging, does that mean the charging duration will be shortened (faster charging)?
i'd say yes
normal usb only provide 500mA where the normal ac chager give much more
and recharge faster
so a miniUSB to 2 normal usb connected to a pc would mean both usb connect and fast charge
unless the pc would get confused that it had 2 pda's connected or something
but i doubt it i have a external usb hd which only works with usb only as in without other ac input if it have 1 of those
2 to 1 usb cables and that works
even if i dont use it personly because firewire give me enough power for only 1 connection
I bought the SlingPlayer app as a way to listen to news at work while I do my work. What I have noticed is that plugging it into my USB port slows down the battery drain of the app, but the power draw caused by the app is more than the USB port can provide, so after enough time, I have to shut down SlingPlayer to let the battery recharge.
Are there any settings that I can do (under clock?) to reduce the power draw?
Would finding a two male USB to micro USB cable from somewhere(?) do the trick, or is that dangerous doubling the amperage?
I am hoping there is an option that does not involve a power adapter, because all the plugs are already taken.
Usually computer usb ports are only 500mA. The wall charger that came with the phone is 700mA and the phone itself it's 1000mA.
So the phone is using 1000mA while you're providing it only 1/2 of the power it needs.
I would recommend getting a usb wall charger that supplies 1000mA or if you can find the Y usb cable for your computer that would work too.
Reduce brightness by 50% see if that helps , screen is biggest power consumer on cell phones. Or just power it from wall charger not computer USB port.
Is it possible to obtain a USB cable for fast charging, i.e. more than 500mAh without modding?
See for example:
S107 S105 USB Charger Charging Cable For Mini RC Helicopter Syma S105/S107 2A
I'm asking because a lot of USB chargers in the range of 1000-2000mAh come with either no USB cable or a standard USB data cable that limits charging to 500mAh.
The phone charges quick using wall plug, but the same cable in USB is dead slow. Even USB 3.0.
On plugs where I would charge my Nexus5, it doesn't charge, or something like 2% per hour...
Is this because of the cable? (I ordered some more, but I only have the original cable at the moment.)
Do you manage to charge using USB port from a computer?
I'm having issues with getting any (car or wall) power adapter that uses USB A to charge my pixel 2 rapidly. I'm using USB A to USB C cables that charged my Axon 7 rapidly with no issue. Pixel 2 devices can only charge rapidly from a USB C power adapter to USB C only?
