It just started happening randomly. I didn't flash anything. I can't access a mobile network, I can't add an APN, I can't wipe the phone because it it just hangs up when it's supposed to clear the cache, I can't access the external storage, and my computer can't recognize it either. I have no Idea what happened, but now my phone doesn't work. I can still do things if I'm on WiFi, but when I try to open camera, or open gallery, or do anythig that involves the external storage, my phone tells me "No external storage available."
I'm really confused and frustrated, if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it!

Sounds like the software is glitchy. I'd flash the factory image and see if that fixes your problems. If it doesn't then probably rma it.

Can you get into the bootloader? I'd try this method if you can http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47156064
But if the computer didn't recognize it you maybe in trouble. I'd go ahead and try it, it may work even if it looks like the computer doesn't recognize your phone. Can't hurt

Sounds like the cache was corrupted/damaged/erased.
I fixed this issue by flashing the cache.img from the stock files.
Follow the directions in this thread but ONLY flash the cache.img. Make sure your drivers are installed properly.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701
Try it on a different computer if possible. I had that issue with my laptop where it wouldn't recognize my phone. The drivers have to be installed a specific way. Update your recovery to the newest TWRP that came out two days ago. I'm about to update to it to see if it fixes the issue where it takes like 5+ minutes to wipe the phone in recovery. Hopefully just flashing the cache partition will fix it if not flash stock google image.

I locked my phone a week ago (drank a little, was incredibly angry) and forgot the password the following morning. Tried every combination under the sun that was close to my usual lock PIN and had no luck. I read about the pattern unlock asking for a Gmail login, and I was never prompted.
I tried many solutions, including the ADB program but my phone was not set for debug. I decided to change my Gmail password online with the hopes my phone would prompt me, but no such luck. A day ago I found a program that would bypass the screen lock, but it had to be installed from the Android Market. Installation didnt work because I changed my Gmail password, but cant set it on my phone now.
I really dont want to lose my photos and data, it would be a huge setback and Im already having a difficult time with it.
Is it possible to install a custom recovery image WITHOUT losing all of my data, or will it wipe everything clean in the process? Are there any realistic options I have to be able to remove my PIN lock or recover my data?
I would really appreciate any help I can get, because it seems I have no other options left and Im left with a phone I want to throw in the trash.
You didn't say if you are rooted or not. If you do have root then you can probably just flash another rom and you wont lose anything. If you don't have root.. then I got nothing. If you don't already have a rom on your device but you are rooted you could probably find a app that would allow you to get right into your phones flash memory and put a rom in that way.
Also, pull our your micro sd card on there. If thats where all the data that you want to save then you could be in luck that way. You didn't mention where the data is saved. Pm me if you have any questions or you don't understand

Sorry, didnt think to mention those details. Phone isnt rooted, all data like photos and such is saved internally.
I never really looked into digging into the phone like this, but after I locked it I started looking at every possible option. Even sending the phone out to a data recovery specialist. Im basically at the end of a fraying rope, and it really sucks, Im so stressed.

So you tried your passcode those thirty times and then what happened? Nothing? I think that you should just keep on trying your passcode over and over again and maybe it will come up with you signing into your google account... maybe.
Data like photos, videos, files, etc etc are all stored on SD card (internal), except application data. Only application specific data like its configuration, etc go to internal partitions that get erased when loading custom ROM.
So your best bet would be to install a custom ROM and then get the data from your SD card. When a custom ROM says it is going to wipe everything, it means partitions like /system, /cache, etc, and not the internal or external sd card.
But for this you would need to be rooted. So try the one click to restore to stock (in one of the threads here). This is worth a try since this method should not clear internal SD card.
why dont you flash the community kernel giving you CWM, then flash a rom?

Idk if you can get into download mode if you're not rooted.. never tried it.
If you can't get into download mode you might be able to do the stock reset. I would make that a last resort though, it will probably wipe your pictures.
You do this by powering down the phone and then using the three finger method, holding down the power, volume up and down buttons. Let go of the power at the Samsung logo and then it will boot into a green screen. From there.. you have to figure it out because I don't know what the screen looks like. I can't remember from all those months ago when the last time that I was on the stock firmware for a while.
Optimus is right....just pull the battery...put phone in download mode and flash community kernel...when it starts booting...3 button back to recovery...if you don't have a custom rom on your phone...when you get to recovery..go to apply update zip and select and flash it...that will give you green cwm ...then go to mounts and storage and select mount usb storage...you computer will recognized your internal memory then you just transfer another rom on your SD card ....unmkunt usb and flash like normal...hope that helps...

Download mode screen has a small exclamation mark, something like in the pic I have attached. It is totally different than recovery. Recovery allows for a bunch of options that can be manipulated on the phone itself. Download mode allows phone to be updated only via a connected device i.e., a computer that pumps in data to the phone. By data I mean OS.
You cannot mount anything like USB storage in this mode. This mode is more like a mode that the manufacturer uses for automating initial OS onto the device, in a totally automated process. This method is also sometimes referred to as "restoring stock" meaning, restoring phone to how it was when out of factory.
Pull the battery....put battery back in...(first of all have Odin open)..hold vol up and vol down while plugging usb ...u should see a yellow android with a broom and it says downloading...on Odin you should see comm## in yellow if you are connected....download gtg ultimate unbrick and extract...on Odin click the pit button and go to where u extracted and double click on infuse.pit...then click the pda button and put the PDA file in there...and do the same for phone...hit start and your on your way back to stock

To add to this:
Since you seem to be new, try to ensure you don't disconnect the phone from the PC until this process is complete. And get the phone drivers loaded onto your computer before you start this process.
Most importantly, as mentioned above, open odin first, and then connect the phone in download mode for odin to recognize the phone.

I find it odd that you were never prompted to unlock with gmail password as well, it actually says pin lock, not puk lock correct?
Did you try changing your gmail password back to what your phone thinks it is so you can run this program you heard of, that might work right? Just thought i would throw this out there if your having toruble with the more technical solutions being offered to you.

Its the PIN lock, rather than a pattern or SIM lock. I did try that actually, but Gmail wont allow me to use the same password twice. I spoke with someone at Google who referred me to a specialist, and I will ask for their help on doing this. I was told by someone else that with the phone not seeing the correct password it will essentially be logged out, but Im really hoping that is not the case.

hey, i wipe data/factory reset, delete cache, and deleted dalvic cache, and installed the dark knight ics rom. and went to recovery again, but then it took me to a recovery which looked like i cracked my phone from the top. eventually, i installed emancipation rom and went back to normal red recovery. i wiped data/factory reset, deleted the cache, and flashed zip from sd card. but now it stays in samsung booting screen and it does not move from there. i can go back to recovery and try the same thing with a different rom and it wont do any different. is there anything that could fix this problem?

should answer the distorted recovery question.
As for being stuck at Samsung screen. Probably heimdall or odin back to stock. Then flash the bootloaders you'll need for any of the ics roms and all should be well to try reflashing an ics rom

Okay. I can't provide the link at the moment because I'm on my phone, but check the "super everything" thread on the development section.
Look at the return to stock posts. It should say for you to go on download mode. I had this issue before, so I just put it on download mode and went back to stock.

I was turning on my blue tooth then this happens.
I removed the battery and reboot again and it is just stuck at the loading screen.
I kept doing that and it is still the same.
I am thinking about going to recovery mode and wipe all the data and reset the phone.
But i have some texts and pics that I want to save it into PC first.
What can I do to get all the files out??or is there another way to solve the problem?
First wipe cache, not data, from recovery. Then reboot to see if it works.

In recovery mode select mount and storage and then mount USB while the phone is cabled with the PC. Now you should be able to access the Sd card.

If I have missed one I apologize in advance and please direct me to that thread then. I was running steel droid what I thought was 5.5 ICS but it looks like it is 5.1 according to the forums. I was previously running steel droid 4.5 GB. I was switching back to 4.5 because I could not get wifi hotspotting to work. I forgot to wipe my cache and went to install 4.5 and I am stuck in bootloop. X+Power gives me the android error screen, M+Power allows me into the main menu but I cannot use AP fastboot, SBF motorola will not pick up my phone and the screen will show a connection to the USB cable. I've never had a problem before but also have never forgotten to wipe the cache so any thoughts would help.

I would but I get android error screen with exclamation mark each time regardless of how I access recovery X+Power or vol +,- and Power then going to recovery, I wouldn't have thought that not wiping the cache would have been the cause but it was the one step I didn't do that I normally always do so I was just adding it in for information but thanks for the know how that it wasn't the cause. Any other thoughts since I cant even get into my backup ROM or recovery, I have another SD card not sure if my SD card has become fried for some reason, I will be trying that to see if maybe that is all it is.

OK so my galaxy note recently got stuck in a bootloop from restoring an apps system data, completely my fault, usually this would be fixed with a simple wipe/reflash but for some reason the phone will not recognize any SD card I put in it, OK so use Odin right? Nope computer won't acknowledge the phone is connected, its stock rooted with stock recovery, I'm no noob but I can't figure out why it doesn't respond to anything, no factory reset, no adb commands, nothing, anybody got an idea?

It sounds like you might need to either A) check your USB Drivers, and possibly reinstall them, or B) check the USB cable itself, as phones for some weird reason like to be connected to their OEM cables when using adb. As for your sd card, you can try reformatting it on a PC and see if it will read it then.
That's an idea, more than I had left, I'm going to try formatting the sd card like u said, as far as drivers, I've reinstalled multiple times to no avail, tried every USB cable I have OEM and specific data cables, nothing, I can get into stock recovery, but once in recovery I'm stuck because it does not read the sd card, I can wipe everything, factory reset and reboot and all I get is one big long continuous boot loop, it's so frustrating, I've never been soft bricked and couldn't fix it, it's unbelievable!
