Hi everyone sorry if i should not be posting this here but i am a noob to the site and need to find my way around .
Anyway i have an htc hd7 and i cant start it up . the other day the battery went completely flat as i don't use it to much and when i went to power it up it comes up with the unlocked phone then ask,s for the sim pin which i put in and accepted then i get a screen which is white which say,s try again in 27450 min.s . i can only make emergency calls ( not tried to see if works) . i cannot get into windows at all .use the camera or any other functions.. i have tried to reset the phone and even do tried a hard reset through the bios but seems to have made no difference it still does not work . i did load a couple of apps about two days ago one of the was an anti theft alarm from the windows app store Nothing has ever been side loaded as i don't know how or even if the phone is able to. the phone is counting down min.s but i don't know what will happen at the end of the countdown maybe the phone will work maybe it will blow up . wonder anyone has seen this sort of thing before and any thoughts as to anything i can do other than wait and see what happens Maybe its a virus if so how can i get rid of it .any help or thoughts would be most welcome .

ok so i have searched high and low, googled and poured through many various forums and i can't find an answer anywhere so i figured if i was going to ask anyone for help it would be where the issue started.
so my problem? i installed the wm6.1 update by kavana when i got my phone about a month ago and after about 6 hours of tweaking i finnally got it on my phone freaking awsome i thought! i had been using the omapclock prog to underclock my phone to improve battery life much like i had used a similar program on my moto a1200, but i ran into an issue with the playback on a video in core player so i decided to bump up the clock speed to resolve this issue thinking that if it came with the rom then my device would be compatible with the clock speeds allowed by the program, so i set it to 288 and the phone froze, i reboot the phone... same thing. i cant access anything not even the start menu and when i try my s620 crashes, i call t-mobile and ask them for the hard reset i guess i should have figured that it wouldn't work i found another person said to hold the 1 key and then hit 2 that doesn't work either, another says to reflash the phone... i don't see how this is possible if the phone can't load active sync, WTF ? does anyone know how to hard reset or clear the settings?
seriously i can't be the first person to have had this problem, does anyone atleast know how i contact kavana to ask what the hard reset buttons are?
i don't know what kind of device you have but you should be abel to reflash a ROM using the sd card method i know for a fact because i do my own ROMs & that is one thing that save my a*s. be more specific on your device so we could help you out more.. ps: also a hard reset should of done it if you are overclocking because it resets your setting back to the stock on the ROM you have
You have 2 x options bootup phone press nothing plug in usb on computer go Windows\Startup find omap delete it... The second is hard reset to be found in excalibur forum sticky... b.t.w if the first part doesn't make sense a quick search of omap in excalibur forum will give precise instructions...

and btw overclocking is often a risky business and if you puch the clock speed to far, you will fry ur board!!!! USE WITH CAUTION!

Hello, thankyou everyone who takes the time to read this and to help. My HTC Touch Pro, the screen is completely black, it turns on and I can recieve calls and I know the keyboard works, but I cant even tell who it is or what I'm typing since the screen is blacklight and won't show anything. It powers on and off and charges and i can hear the sounds so I think its just a problem with the screen.
I've tried MyMobiler and Pocket Controller, but both cant work for me because I first need to connect to Activesynce or Windows Mobile Device Center, but I can't even see the password I'm typing so I can't unlock the phone to view it on my computer (( so I can't get it to connect to activesync or WMDC.
I really wish it was'nt locked with a password because then everything would be easier I'm so upset by this DDD:
I can't hard reset either because I can't see the screen at all.
Should I try to open it up and replace the screen&digitizer myself? I really don't want to try spending extra money fooling around with the phone if I'm not sure it'll work.
What I'd really love to know, does anybody know how to view the phones screen on the computer without having to unlock the password first from the phone? If anyone can help me with that or find some other method than I'd realyREALLYReallyyyy appreciate that sooo much. I could just type the password from the computer or hard reset and everything.
Or if theres any other method of fixing this that would help too...
Also, I can't take it to Sprint store because its out of warranty/insurance, so
I'm just trying to repair it myself. I've heard of this happening to people before but have'nt ever seen it get fixed.

Have you tried "Hard-Resetting" using the 3 Key Combo? (Hardware Mode)
Or were you trying with the "Clear Data" option? (Software Mode)
I had this when I went snowboarding with my Touch Pro. Turns out slamming the slider shut quite hard fixed the problem.

You can restore the factory settings or reflash the rom. If the problem persists, the cable or screen of the phone may be broken.
I have already done the reset available in phone.
i have also tried updating and putting new ROM but everytime i do that i get errors like " Image currupted" or " Invalid vendor ID" I have even tried unlocking the phone using USPL n stuffs but no use. (Probably m not doing it rite )
The problem with phone is when openin the QWERTY keypad the display goes blank or hazzy n returns after some 30 seconds(Display time our time)

and now the green flashy led is also not working
whenever i connect my phone to PC it shows RED light there
dont know wats happening

Most probably the flex cable that connects the upper and lower body has a problem. Probably the connector at the lower part has come loose slightly and opening the device pulls the flat cable edge to bend the connector so that you see the effect you describe.
You will not be able to fix it without opening the device - and this is not simple with the VOX. Do not try to fix that without opening the device as you may completely kill the flat cable this way.

You will not solve a HW problem with new SW. Get a good dis-assembly guide for the VOX - this will help you.

As off now i have just completed updating a new ROM (Windows Mobile 6.5 Official by frauhottelmann) It is nice and good but as u suggested hasnt resolved my problem

Be careful nitin !!! you'd better bring it to a service center , than you lose warranty just because seal is broken when you try to open it ..
There is no warranty after 3 years, I think - at least not in Germany
Greetings .. I've put my self into a dilemma I cannot solve for over a month now, Let me try put my Issue in order
- I've had my device with the stock it comes with & never updated it ever since I bought it "less than 8 month ago", Then I rooted it somehow and figured out how to flash Roms with Odin.
- I Flashed Android Revolution HD on it and used it for a while and then I decided it's time to go back to stock.
- I Formatted it & downloaded N8000XWALI4_N8000OJVALI2_N8000XXALI3_HOME.tar since I live in Egypt & It gave me a hard time installing it but at the end i figured out how to do it right.
- Now every few hours My Device Memory keep filling up without actually putting anything on my device built in memory ever since I Installed this which is 4.0.4 Android. [Only Device Memory Gets Filled]
- I've kept checking around and tried to "Factory data reset" device multiple times and it still does the same thing after, I gave it a few hours then i keep checking the Storage .. it goes from 11.11GB to 10.5GB .... 9.6GB .. less than 30 hour it got no Available memory left.
- I kept goofing around until i figured that thing with *#9900# to reset dumpstate/logcat which actually Partially solved my issue .. but the thing is .. my note keep getting filled each 24~30 hour & the battery usage empty faster with this so I keep deleting dumpstate/logcat files every day or else device memory is full and it start to act crazy, lagging and getting stuck in lockscreen.
- I've tried to use Kies to update my software hopefully that might solve my issue but when I try to upgrade it, it says " 'GT-N8000' does not support initialising "
Now please You probably have Noticed I do Suck when it comes to android so in simple steps may I get suggestions on how to solve this issue ? and if there is something I need to be trying that already exist on the forums, link me cause I've searched for what I think is my problem but nothing came up .. maybe its under another name I don't know, all Help will be Appreciated & Thanks in Advance :fingers-crossed:
I'm overwhelmed by the silence of every one .. I mean is this really that big of an issue that nobody here have the slightest idea of how to deal with it ? and thinking that its a new problem to the brains here make me even more scared that my Note have gone to wreck .. I still clean my dump on daily basis or else applications keep closing on me while using it.. my cam won't open & videos won't play until I clean my dump files .. I believe there is more android pros here than anywhere else I could meet in RL.
Don't hesitate to share any ideas that comes up your mind, at the end It might be something silly I forgot to do cause I'm bad/new with android ... I'll try anything that make sense .. maybe even nonsense and please ask anything I might have forgot to say before .. cause this issue is driving me banana :silly:

i have the same problem with u,
i bought the device with 4.1.2 version, but i need to downgrade it to 4.0.4 version for a specific hack to run (coz it supports up to 4.0.4),
after i downgraded to 4.0.4, then i discovered this memory glitch /dump problem also, *#9900# seems to be the one of the options to fix it temporarily if you wanna to keep 4.0.4 or...just update to 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 , then you will be totally fine,
try to get 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 firmware in samfirmware and use odin to flash it,
i tried 2 GT-N8000 devices already (YES, TWO) , it's the same memory bug happens if you stay in 4.0.4,
i also hope some senior users here can tell me what happens so that i can gain knowledge also...

So I have been using an android phone from 3 years now and I have been stuck in an huge problem! And I need your help in order to solve this problem. Here is the problem so basically I have a Freetel nico (Japanese brand) which is about 3 to 4 years now running on top of stock kitkat rom or in other words the same rom when I unboxed it. After few months my screen cracked on the bottom near the capacitive touch keys. After the crack the home buttom stopped working! I was all okay with that and the next day my notification panel started glitching and stopped showing any notifications which was really annoying. Now I knew that there some serious problem, so I taught of resetting the phone so I went in the setting and tried factory reset. After few minutes it didn't go to system recovery but the phone just restarted itself. I tried it once again and got the same problem, next step I had was to hard reset it by going into the recovery. When I hold the button and let go it didn't take me to the recovery this time also. So in conclusion I came to know that there was no recovery inside the phone (I did erase the phone through recover about 2 times before this incident everything went well during that time). Moving on I rooted the phone and installed SuperSU and other softwares that could install recovery mode to the phone. I got the same result this time also, I also tried installing a different rom through the stock system update app same result.... After a year of all this work I taught it would be best just giving it to the company service center but I came to know that the company had no longer selling this device and there is no service available .
After all of that tries above I still continued to solve this problem I tried ADB resetting it through pc no luck here also! So if you guys could recommend me some apps or softwares I could try in order to reset my phone please do let me know in the comments. Or you could also ask any scripts that you want to know from the phone which could solve the problem I can do that also!
