[Q] Removing Voice Dialer - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to completely remove Voice Dialer (see attachment) from my Razr MAXX HD--NOTE: I'm NOT talking about removing Google Search (Google Now).
When I activate a search from my bluetooth headset it gives me the option to launch Google Search, but even when I select it, the Voice Dialer comes up. I'd like to remove it so it's not even an option.

Uninstall Visual Voice Mail / remove icon

After rooting my phone, I removed multiple apps, including Visual Voice Mail. The icon for it still remains though. Previously on my Eris, if there were icon oddities, I'd go into Amon's Recovery and run the 'mismatched UID' fix and that would resolve it. Clockwork doesn't seem to have the same thing -- that I'm aware of. I see a 'fix permissions' entry and Google searches suggest it might do the same or similar, but without knowing for sure, I'm not trying it.
Tapping the icon takes me to the stock Messaging app. It formerly had (3) icons along the bottom, "All messages", "SMS/MMS", and "Visual Voice Mail". Obviously the last one is gone now, but the icon remains in the "All apps" menu.
How do I remove this icon ?

How to disable Voice Dialer in Google Now?

I like Google Now function but I really don't like the Voice Dialer that built in Google now, it is terrible, I miss every single word that I speak thru bluetooth headset. It keeps saying "I didn't caught that" every single time. Does anybody know how to disable Voice Dialer and keep only Google Now?
if you open up s-voice the included samsung app and push the menu button go into the settings and uncheck the box that says launch when home button is pressed twice...this fixed it for mine...so i have google now and when i double push the home button it shows me previews of my homescreens

Abandoning GoSMS?

I've had this Samsung S3 for six months now rooted with stock AT&T JB ROM. I'm starting to use the phone in the car more and am perplexed how difficult I'm finding it to do some pretty simple, commonly useful things. Here's what I'm trying to achieve:
- When phone connects to bluetooth in car, to on Car Mode and Driving Mode
I already use Llama and turning on Car Mode is easy. Driving Mode looks like I have to use a custom Android Intention (haven't tried it yet)
1. Replace lock screen (currently using Widget Locker) with Car Dashboard for easy app launch and forwarding of songs being played in Power Amp, Spotify or Pandora. Strange that Llama toggles Car Mode but the toggle on the OS is "Driving mode" Seems Driving Mode controls TTS activation and Car Mode toggles the Car Mode app. I think this is just the problem with Touchwiz not being "Android Standard" functionality?
2. Make it so I don't have to press a button to wake phone but don't eat battery with screen usage. The only Car app I've found that comes close to this is the iBOLT Dock'n Drive app where you set the screen brightness slider all the way down and it just shows a clock jumping around the screen. I don't even want the stupid clock - but I guess it's nice to know the phone is in car mode waiting for me to touch the screen. Unfortunately music controls are not on this dash app and the Car app with Pandora integration (forget the name) doesn't have the blank the screen mode without sleeping.
3. When a text comes in, I want either (a) and auto-response that I'm driving and to call me if its urgent, or BETTER, (b) allow me to speak "reply" and do a voice to text response or "auto response" to send my auto response. S-voice allows you to say 'reply' but only if the text comes in when the S-voice app is the currently opened app. If phone is sleeping and text comes in, all it does is read the text. Disabling widget locker and having no lockscreen slider made no difference.
Sidenote: I've also discovered on the S3, because I don't use S-Voice, (I have home double tap mapped to Google Voice Search), the TTS doesn't work. If I manually launch S Voice once, then TTS works but if I remove it from the background apps list then no TTS. That's sort of a side issue.
4. If car mode is enabled, on GoSMS I don't need a pop-up. Just TTS. But GoSMS still thinks I haven't seen the message. So even though I heard the message GoSMS keeps pinging me with a reminder (which I do want repeat reminders for unread texts when NOT in car/driving mode) Strangely there is no Car/Driving mode settings in GoSMS. Surprising. And the Auto Response has to therefore be manually toggled.
It appears I may have to add some 3rd party apps to achieve what I want and possibly dump GoSMS - I've also found that CloudSMS (to replicate SMS to my tablet) doesn't work with GoSMS running. Boo. Hiss. I GoSMS is such a superior SMS program in most all other respects. Hate to see it go.
Seems what I'm asking to do shouldn't be so complicated. With all Google's resources, I'm surprised this isn't all built-in to Android and easily used.
Getting close. Turned off option on GoSMS to disable other messaging notifications (fixed CloudSMS issue).
Found two promising apps:
SMS+Car - Does the job but the it doesn't use the native Google voice recognition and more importantly doesn't read calendar reminders. What it DOES do is mark the SMS messages it reads as read!
Enhanced SMS + Caller ID+ - This is the better app, it cleaner, more options, used native Google voice recognition. It's missing one thing though, DOESN'T MARK THE SMS AS READ! Dealbreaker.
Search continues...

[ROOT] "Say OK Google" permanent in GNL and Hotword Detection in all screens

[ROOT] "Say OK Google" permanent in GNL and Hotword Detection in all screens
In the Google Now Launcher, As part of the "training" a message/prompt appears in the search bar that says "Say OK Google".
I know that I and a few other people on XDA and around the web found this feature quite neat and its little animations were quite nice.
However, after saying "OK Google" a few times to activate the Voice Search, the text would disappear as you were now "trained" and knew how to use the Hotword.
I was quite bummed by this obviously and always tried to get it back by clearing Google Search's data, which would reset my launcher settings too. This would reset the "training" and bring back the text but it had a downside and would also clear away all the apps/folders/widgets that I had on my homescreens.
A few days ago, Google Search was updated and a new feature was introduced which would enable you to say the OK Google Hotword on every screen e.g apps, lockscreen (You could only do this on homescreens in GNL previously). Unfortunately, Google decided to not make this feature available on the Moto X and Moto G (Which I currently have).
I found a thread on XDA which showed me how to enable this feature via a ROOT app called Unleash The Google
Basically, the app enables the dogfood/experimental/developer features of Google Search via Google Search Settings
After messing around with the new DogFood Features, I discovered that I could make the "Say OK Google" Text in GNL's Search Bar permanent instead of disappearing after a few uses.
I will tell you how to make the text permanent firstand later explain how to enable Hotword Detection on every screen
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Download Unleash the Google
2. Install the app and open it. After it finishes loading, you should see a screen that tells you to force stop Google Search. Do so by going to Apps and FSing the Google Search app.
3. Now scroll down the Google Now screen, press the 3 dots and click Settings.
4. You should now see a space on the bottom that says Config Flags. Click it.
a) To get the "Say OK Google" Text all the time, press the 6th setting titled "Always_show_hotword..."
b) To enable the "OK Google Hotword on every screen" feature, turn on "Enable_E300" and "E300_Voice_Everywhere". scroll down to "speaker_id_supported_locales" and press it. type in "en-US" (Must be that and Im pretty sure its case sensitive).
5.After doing that, scroll all the way to the bottom and press "Save Config Settings".
6. Press the Home button on your Nav Bar and then press the search box.
You should now see the "Say OK Google" Text on your search bar and/or be able to say the "OK Google" Hotword from every screen by activating it by going back to "Google Search Settings" > Pressing Voice > Enable Audio History > Press OK Google Detection > Enable "From any screen" and/or "From lock screen". You should see a new screen with prompts. Complete Them and every thing should work fine !
Need to mention that I haven't enabled these settings for long so I'm still not 100% sure if the text will stay on forever
Don't forget to hit thanks if this helped you!
not working
I was looking for this for a really long time thank you
But this doesn't work on latest google version on 5.0.2 please man I really need this

Tap to speak loop : Voice destination input not longer working [Android Oreo]

How can I reset/fix my voice destination feature?
1. In the Google Maps "Search here" box, I click on the mic icon:
a. "Try saying something" box pops up with a mic in a green circle;
b. Another box below shows "Your audio will be sent to Google to provide speech recognition service ...etc ..saving audio to..."
2. I say something and the green circle moves with my voice indicating its recording and "Tap to speak"box pops up with a mic in a white circle that turns green when mic is pressed;
3. I say something and the green circle moves with my voice indicating its recording and "Tap to speak"box pops up with a mic in a white circle etc....
Note 1
This issue is the same on both phones where I signed in with the same google account:
1. Samsung S8+
2. Another phone Samsung S5 with LineageOS 15.1 (Android 8.1.0)
The 2nd phone was completely reset and worked properly until settings were restored from the same gmail account as phone 1.
Note 2
When I sign in with a different Google account on a different S5 (same OS), voice destination input works.
All voice input, language settings are the same across all devices.
Note 3
The mic works on all phones. When I click in "Search here" and then click the Gboard mic icon, then the voice search works.
Note 4
Voice destination input in the WAZE navigation app results in the same Tap to speak loop
Note 5
I tried following the suggestions in below links, but they are outdated and did not resolve my issue.
