Not sure what's going on, I have two laptops (work and home), both running Win7 one is x86 one is x64, both have the LG driver installed and my phone is set on MTP. Whenever I connect the USB, I get the prompt that the driver is recognized, but I don't get the popup for the SD card. Any ideas?
Debugging is NOT turned on.

I'm having an issue where my thunderbolt is not recognized by my PC any longer. I used to have it set up with pdanet and everything worked well for about a week. All of a sudden, any computer i tried to plug the device into, wouldn't detect the phone. A friend of mine has tried his thunderbolt on my computer and it detects it.
When plugging my phone in, it pops up an error message with "USB Device not Recognized." In the device manager, the phone shows up as Unknown Device. I have tried this on 3 different pc's, using 3 different data cables. No USB symbol displays on the taskbar of the phone when I plug it in, however, it does charge.
What I have tried:
Changing data cables.
Using another PC.
Uninstalling device drivers and letting windows re-detect and install.
Downloaded HTC Sync and ran it after uninstalling drivers again and re-plugging the phone.
Changed different Connection settings on the phone, such as USB Debuggin on/off, and changing it to HTC Sync Mode, Charge Only, Disk Drive, etc
Mounted and unmounted SD Card in the phone settings.
OS: Windows 7 x64
Is there anyone out there that can help?
Thank you for any information you may provide.
I remember that one of my friend's desire cannot be detected by the pc before, he search the forum and find out that he need to change something in the driver files before installing the driver. I'm not sure if that will work in your case thought..

and that i'll have to buy a new one just to confirm it?
1.) What are your computer's specifications? (OS, hardware, etc.)
2.) When the Transformer is booted into Android and you connect the USB cale from the tablet to your computer, does your computer make any sort of indication that a new device has been plugged in? (In Windows, for example, you'll get the new hardware sound.)
Hi! I have any problem tooi cant connect my transformer to PC.

Try different USB slot, Try different cable (if you can get one). Try different PC with the same OS (Win7 64-bit).
Try to reinstall Asus Sync, and USB drivers.
If it won't work after you have tried all of these, then I have no idea.
My TF works for me out of the box.

Windows 7 would recognize the TF as a Media device and there in lies the problem. You would have to force the Asus Drivers to take precedence and that is the problem. I am also told you would need the '.Net' framework installed and configured properly - as I had installed this long ago I am not sure whether this is required or not as on my PC I did not face problems due to lack of '.Net'.
On Windows XP I was required to install Windows Media Player 11 and then do some more modifications etc and then install PC Sync software from Asus.
I now have my Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit working with the TF.
When you connect your Tablet using the Charger cable, does your Tablet say something like 'Searching for PC Sync Software on PC' in the notification area?
Only if it does the TF would even be trying to communicate with the PC - otherwise it would not even be doing that.
I connected my TF to my Windows machine with the sole purpose of rooting the device and I did succeed in doing that.
How To Get Windows 8.1 To Recognise USB Mass Storage On Your Phone
I have had the problem for ages that when I connected my Samsung Galaxy GT-S5360 into my Windows 8.1 PC nothing happened - Windows 8.1 simply refused to recognise the device - not even anything in device manager - nothing - nada
However it would recognise the phone if I set the phone to download mode - but I want to use my phone as mass storage
Well after months of trying I finally found a really stupid solution
Solution
Install the usb drivers for your phone as normal
connect the phone to pc via usb cable (nothing happens other then a few beeps as normal)
now plug in any usb dongle that you have already installed on your pc - like a usb wireless mouse dongle
suddenly windows detects the phone and you can now set your phone to mass storage from the phone status bar
Every time you want to connect your phone in mass storage just plug it in then plug in the other usb dongle after
I have connected my Nexus 5 to my PC. It installed drivers, and I have set the phone to MTP mode, and even put debugging on. Pretty much followed all advice given, but when I plug it in, the computer makes a bing noise but does not show up in My Computer. Help?
Fixed it.
connected device.
Press windows > Type drivers
Locate it in there, and delete the driver. Then reconnected the phone and it installed it correctly this time.
Hello, I just purchased an LG X Venture, model number H700. It is running android 7.0. When I first got it a few days ago, I installed the drivers for it on my windows 7 computer, and plugged it in. I got a pop up on the phone where I set the default USB mode to MTP (media transfer protocol). It worked great, and I was able to tranfer files between my PC and my phone.
Then I tried to get adb debugging to work with my phone, and screwed everything up. I enabled developer options, and then checked USB debugging. I also accidentally hit the "revoke USB debugging authorization button." I installed what I think are the correct ADB drivers on my PC. Then I plugged my phone back into my PC. This time, nothing comes up. I've checked in the device manager, etc., and I can't find a trace of the phone anywhere.
I looked back at developer options under USB configuration, and it's still set to MTP. But somehow I screwed something up, because my phone and computer no longer recognize each other (except for charging).
I even tried my phone with two other computers (one also windows 7, the other mac), and got the same behavior.
Any idea how to fix this? Ideally I'd like to get ADB to work, but I would settle for just getting MTP back haha.
Actually, solved it! Turns out the cable I was using was damaged. I used another one and MTP works fine on all computers.
