[REQ] Gallery App with DLNA - Galaxy S 4 Themes and Apps

I've been using samsung touchwiz for a while and quite like some of the functionality. I find myself switching between TW and stock android, simply because of the functions Samsung have on offer. I've now installed 4.4 on my S4 and am missing the allshare/DLNA functions from the TW gallery app.
Now I know i can't get the stock TW gallery on my phone but is there another gallery app which has the ability to stream images to a DLNA TV?
I've tried various gallery apps, they have no such functionality. I have also tried apps like twonky and imediashare. The issue with these apps is that they are mainly DLNA server apps. I need to choose media then destination then start the server.
The way it works in TW gallery is I can browse through my photos, click on one, then click the allshare button and click the TV I wish to broadcast too. Then it does it instantly. No configuring. Is there any such app?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
EDIT: So sorry I posted this thread here. I didn't realise it needed to go into the Q&A section, can someone move it please?

[APP] Gallery and Music Launcher for Android 2.1

My brother and me created this app launcher of Gallery for Xperia X10 with FW 2.1
It is different than this method described in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826250
The X10 FW 2.1 hides the Gallery 3D launcher, so we use the easiest harmless way to fix this by creating an application that will launch the Gallery 3D.
Added app launcher of Music for Xperia X10 with FW 2.1
Music Widget not supported by this app.
In order to properly bring up all features of Music and its Widget, you need someone with knowledge of decompile, recompile and repackaging of APK.
FYI.
What i make is not a Gallery application, nor i hack or do anything with the existing Gallery. What i post here is a standalone application that acts as a shortcut or launcher to existing Gallery application in your phone.
This app works with any Android 2.1 which have Gallery shortcut hidden by manufacturer.
Nice work now i can remove mediascape
Thanks, this will make my life easier.
Thanx

You might wanna try WinAmp for your music player replacement. But i advising you not to remove/uninstall MediaScape because most of things depends on it, might cause you problem. Just leave it there, won't do any harm.
I will check to see if the phone still have the stock media player inside.
FYI:
The launcher i make is not the gallery app it self, it just a application that work as a shortcut to open Gallery, since the default app launcher is hidden by SE.
Great app cheers.

[PORT] TouchWiz Gallery, Allshare, Video Player, Play Video via WIFI to TV

I'm posting this because I cannot be the only one who is looking for this.
First the scenario:
On TouchWiz ROM, you join your WIFI Home Network
You go to the Samsung Gallery
You Play a Picture or a Movie
If you have a Smart TV on the network, you have a little icon that allows you to play to other devices... in my case, my samsung tv.
There are a few apps on the market but they all make you sort of go out of your way to play on to your TV.
Bubble Upnp and SamsungTVMedia are the 2 that are OK but it's not as integrated as the Samsung's approach.
Is there a way to figure out which Libraries and APK's to copy so that it can be ported on an AOSP ROM?
I'm posting in the dev section as this forum may have the proper knowledge on how to achieve this.
I'm sorry I can't help, but I'd add [WIP] to the title.

[Q] Decent Launchers

Not finding much launchers for my ugoos um2.
Anyone have any solutions?
Also has anyone had any luck with getting YouTube lean back working so that I can queue videos with my android device to the TV stick.
Utorrent would be nice if I could queue files from my android mobile to the TV stick also. Anyone got this working?
Thanks

launchers...
Can you please describe this problem further? When I search for home screens or launchers in google play store, I get 2 or 3 that seem good for display on televisions such as this one "TVLauncher". Is this what you are talking about?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.awe.dev.pro.tv&hl=en
YouTube leanback... Utorrent...
I'm not sure if apps in one android device can control another android device the way you want... Maybe if the control device runs the app, while the other device to be controlled runs a browser in 'desktop' mode (not Chrome) and browses to an appropriate web address such as youtube.com/leanback or remote.utorrent.com but this seems awkward. So basically I recommend to try a remote control app that is designed for android-to-android control, such as "Tablet Remote".

Whatever happens, I recommend to opt-in for HTML5 player in youtube.com/html5 so as to minimize use of Flash player. Otherwise, install Flash player app on all android devices that will play youtube and other online videos.
Cheers.

[Q] s6 Gallery app display on TV??

Hi,
Does the S6 Gallery app allow you to share/view your pics and videos on your DNLA TVs? I have a Sony TV with DNLA and I can currently share using the "screen" button at the top of the image/vid.
Not even sure if this is a Lollipop feature or a Samsung Gallery app thing. Assumed the latter as Quickpic doesn't allow this.
Thanks
There is something flaky with DLNA and this phone. I have a Panasonic smart tv with an Xbox One hooked to it. I used to hit that button in any app and have the choice of the TV or the Xbox. Now, YouTube videos only allow me to send to my TV, and gallery stuff or stuff playing in the Video app only allows me to send to the Xbox. It's bizarre and annoying.

Well I have my 64GB S6 now and I do have the option to share the media (photos and video) via my DNLA TV as you can see from my attached share menu below. when I tap, I can choose the TV there. However, I cant be sure if this is built in to TW or Lollipop or part of the BubbleUpnP app I have installed. Whatever way, it's MUCH faster at sharing/casting to the TV than my old S4 was. Very happy.
Hope it helps some and would appreciate it if you can see if it is available to you without the need of BubbleUpnP... I dont want to uninstall now I have it!
I have problem to send video and photo 0n my smart tv samsung with the samsung apps
But i tryed imediashare on playstore and it works perfect with this app
Yes, that is what I use in some apps because the other icon doesn't appear.
on my vidoes i dont have option to send to my xbox one however my pictures work fine from gallery

found this while searching out the problem
Actually Samsung has made a change to quick connect on the S6 edge. Quick Connect will play music to your DLNA device now ONLY if you use Samsung's music app. Try this open Samsung's music app and start playing a song, then swipe down from the top and tap on "Quick Connect" and you will see and be able to play to your DLNA device. Now close the Samsung music app, open the google music app and follow the same steps as before. You will now notice that "Quick Connect" has lost its ability to locate your DLNA device! Not happy Samsung.
For videos, I think you need to do what Soopuk shows in that screenshot up above. You hit the Share button, then one of the options is "View Content On." I'm not at home right now to confirm, but I believe that allowed me to send video to the Xbox One.

Media Files no longer available using Stock Apps

Not sure if this is related to Pingpong root or not but media files no longer show up using the stock music or gallery apps.
I've installed a different gallery app and I can see them.
Looks like my media scanning isn't working right.
Anyone see this or have any suggestions?
I'm on AT&T Galaxy 6 Edge.
