Sound when clicking on keyboard - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I like hearing the sound keyboards make when you type on them. I dunno if there is a thread concerning this, (if there is please reply with a link and I'll ask to close this thread) but I have been looking everywhere to turn on this function. Or does KitKat not have an option like that? If not do Roms have that feature? Thanks!

How to add SMS Quick reply to stock

I'm on stock roots and unlocked and ever since I saw quick reply on an iPhone I have always wanted it, but I never found anything about it for any of my phones until now. I just saw it become avaliable on CM10 but I am holding off on flashing for a bit until I find the ROM that perfectly suits me. Anyway, is there any way to enable quick reply on stock? Is there a zip I can flash to enable quick reply? I would rather have that than have an app that does it, but if there are apps that do that then please post the names. Thanks in advance!

Chrome keeps auto sharing to Pocket with giving me choice?

If I set a default share app in another app, like twitter, Chrome will also use that as a default share app, not giving me a choice in the matter. Why this change?
Same issue here, but I haven't even chosen a default share app. I chose to share to gmail in my twitter app and now most apps are sharing automatically to gmail.

I don't have that issue...both of you mentioned twitter, that's probably to blame

It's still doing it even though I cleared defaults. I don't get it.

I'm having this problem too. Seems to be a bug with Android: https://code.google.com/p/android/i...nd&colspec=ID Type Status Owner Summary Stars
Yes, I have to keep clearing app defaults in settings, because chrome is remembering share settings from other apps for some reason and using it for itself, with no choice.

Same here. Each time I try to share a page with chrome it opens "import to Google drive". The only way I found to get the share choices back is to deactivate Google drive

I'm having the same problem its just copying to clip board not giving me the share via menu at all. Same with the XDA app BTW.

Alright I fixed it. You need to go to Apps I. Settings and go to the 3 dot menu on top right and reset apps preferences like so. Yay!

No offence but you didn't fix anything..you just reset app prefs like most people know. There's still a bug, it just happens again...

That sucks I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Google needs to seed a fix soon too many pot holes in this build for the N5.

Had this problem too but clearing app defaults worked for me. For now anyhow..

Is there a way to set an app as the default option for sharing? I only want to share to Pocket in Chrome and Twitter etc. Is that possible?

Remove search bar

Is it possible to remove the Google Search bar from my stock launcher. It just bugs me being there, so have to use a Apex which I don't like using a 3rd party launcher.

The OP mentioned he doesn't want a third party launcher. You can try disabling Google Search. It worked on other versions of Android but I don't know if it will still work. One thing; anything that relies on search will not work.
I want it out of there as well, I've been on android since the begining and I have an exact layout I use. That location is where my clock widget goes and there isn't a chance in hell I will use their stock launcher until it can be moved.
visually disable that "Search bar", while still having the "Ok Google"
I would love to be able to simply visually disable that "Search bar", while still having the "Ok Google" voice function working (don't mind loosing the Google Now swipe too)!
if there is an app or some hack that can be applied to stock tooted ROM, pleas let me know.
Thanks
