I just activated my N5 this afternoon (loving it!), but I keep getting these 8737 texts. I've had this happen on other phones running AOSP roms, but this is the first phone I've owned that natively runs stock Android and I wasn't expecting this. I'm on Sprint. Is anyone else getting these?

I'm thinking it's regarding voice mail.

No, it is a voice mail thing. Classic Sprint problem.
I think there is a setting or something that needs to enabled.
Definitely a Sprint voicemail issue. I had the same problem and it took a lot of work to fix it. Had to call Sprint and talk to a technician. He had me disable Google Voice integration. Then he had to create a voicemail account for me (because I haven't had Sprint voicemail since they first started the GV integration a couple years ago). Then, of course, I didn't actually have voicemail. I had someone call and leave a voicemail. Finally, I deleted the new voicemail and restarted my phone a couple times. The messages were finally gone!!! After I waited a few minutes to make sure no more messages would show up, I re-enabled Google Voice integration.
That was fun!

I've only gotten a couple so far, so it's not a big deal. Hopefully it doesn't get worse and I don't have to go to that kind of extreme.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue, but the past few days my texts have not been able to be sent. I get some SMS error and some code number. It never happened until a few days ago when it started happening probably about once a day. I had been on bamf a few days before it started, flashed the new bamf to see if that fixed it and I'm still getting the errors. It only happens when I hit send.
Anyone else experience this or know whats the deal with it?
I had this issue. I think its mainly network issues still going on. What I did was flashed back to stock radio and ran a different rom. Fixed it right up. But yes its a known issue.

Yeah Had Same Thing Happen To Me. Running Bamf Stripped V.1.1
My Thunderbolt just started doing this around 7AM this morning. I could receive text messages but when I tried to reply I got SMS Error Cause Code: 97 Error Class: 2
This happened to me before when I had a Droid Eris. No one could figure out what was wrong...Verizon sent me a new (refurb) phone - but the same thing happened. Eventually they had to send my case to Engineering before it was fixed. (which was approx. two weeks)
Not only have I lost SMS/MMS, just about 10 minutes ago I no longer have network access...
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
I did a battery pull, didn't help.
I also flashed back to stock from VirusROM. No changes...
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
I had this issue on Friday and Saturday but seems to have resolved itself yesterday (for me).
I've been having this issue for weeks now, but only on 3 contacts. Only way I can send messages to those 3 contacts is by sending messages directly to them, if I reply via the message thread then it fails. It's been driving me nuts.
I'm having this issue as well, sms code 105, error class 2. And it's only with 1 contact, happens once in a while with others but not too often. this 1 contact though it fails 100% of the time. Along with that my 3g will just randomly drop and it will say "no data connectivity", and I then have to cycle back to 3g. It's a big time PITA, thats for sure. Does anyone know if this is a network issue, or is it a phone radio issue?
I've noticed it has something to do with your facebook sync. If I have my favorite widget for a couple contacts set to text it automatically puts a +1 in front if the number and sms fails. If I go into the contact card it doesn't show the +1 though. Another thing I've noticed is if your in the actual message thread, hit menu, select more, and it should list recipients phone number as on option. I can select the one without the +1 but it won't default. Been having these problems on and off for about a month now with no solid fix....

Hi all
I just got a message from my friend that he recieved an update yesterday night from Asus for his TF-101G which he bought from taiwan. Apparently the update had a sms system, and he is able to use it to sms to a phone. not whatsapp or viber but through gsm network.
I was wondering if it is able to integrate with our wifi Transformer "rooted" with 3G dongle installed. As previously I tried to activate whatsapp, and the sms got sent over into my dongle, thus activating whatsapp. The current dongle I am using is the huawei e1550, and specs shows that there is GSM radio installed inside.
Was wondering if anyone is interested to follow up?
Thanks.

Not having a G-variant, i am lazy. I just run TexTab on my phone and ASUS, and use that for texting. Very useful as well since that gives me the same number and the thread is for view on the phones SMS app - perfect for having to go away from Tablet.
TexTab basically uses the phone via Bluetooth for texting goodness.
why not just text with google voice through wifi? It's much easier and works out of the box. Plus you can save all your texts and it syncs your conversations with your phone and web browser, which I think makes it much more useful.
Well I currently do not have access to a google voice account at the moment, was considering if sms is viable why not use it?

Give or take limitations once you go past sitting in the USA and texting other people in the USA, you can only send like 150 texts per contact within so many hours, unless it's done via forwarding through a real cellphone. From what I could tell, the Android app has the same limitation as the web interface.
I found this out because the first month my fiancee and I were texting, we exchanged almost 10,000 SMS, and still average like 7,000+ .
I got the Galaxy S7 just over a week ago. MMS and picture text haven't worked from day one. Two days later I got Root. Still doesn't work. Went through every setting on every thread I could find. Flashed patches and fixes. Nothing. Tried multiple messaging apps, still get the same error "Invalid Destination Address". If it does accept a picture on a text, it shifts it to Group Conversations, but I can't send one. Period. I performed a full wipe and flashed a custom Rom. Still nothing. Has anyone found a real fix for this or is this a complete failure on Samsung's part? Thanks.

Did you receive and install your two configuration texts from your carrier?
If not, give them a shout and ask them to send you then, sounds like the settings just aren't in place
Might be able to do it from their site, some let you send the settings to your phone
I didn't receive anything from Verizon. I can't remember having to do that before. I was the last customer of the night when I left, my whole set up felt rushed and the phone didn't show service until the next morning. I know the APN settings aren't right. I'll again and see if I can get someone.
Thanks!!!
You could try setting it up manually too if you prefer

Thank you for both replies, when I called tech support and asked about this directly, they discovered my phone had not been properly activated, the woman had it fixed in two minutes. This was the problem. Thank you again!

Great! Pleased it was an easy fix
The Pixel 3 has a lot of great new features. I think we can all agree that one of the most fulfilling ones is call screening, which I've now used on quite a few "Spam Likely" and local election calls. I enjoy using it every single time.
With that said, I spend a lot of time on conference calls with my clients and since I switched from my OnePlus 6 to the 3 XL this week, I've found a fantastic little feature in the stock Google Dialer on my 3 XL that doesn't get enough attention. In fact, I haven't seen anyone discuss this at all.
The feature auto-fills conference ID codes and even populates the final "#" symbol at the end, when necessary. This was not a feature I had on my OnePlus 6, my 2 XL or any other phone before and it is simply amazing. It saves me a ton of time trying to remember (and always forgetting) the conference code while dialing, or resorting to writing it down. I suspect this is just a new feature in the Google Dialer that is also available on other phones. But like I said, it was never one my 2 XL, so I have no prior experience with it.
Admittedly, the feature is small and many won't even know about it, but this is a serious new "must have" for me, which I've already used 9 times since Monday. Love it!

This is a feature of Google Calendar. It's been around for quite some time.
That said, its a huge quality of life thing for those of us who spend a lot of time on conference calls.
i definitely need this... how do i set this up?

According to w0rdie, it's actually a feature of Google Calendar. I'm assuming as long as you use that as your default calendar it should be setup automatically for you. I didn't need to set anything up. It just worked on my phone right out of the box.

Oh weird, here you are being a d*ck in another thread for no reason. Fun.
I've had this issue where iPhone users are not receiving my text messages. More specifically, they are not receiving sms that i sent through my Google messages. If i send an MMS message ( either with a picture or by adding a subject line) then they will receive it. I can receive and view their messages but they can't see my sms messages.
I have the unlocked variant of the s22 Ultra with a T-Mobile US sim card. I feel like I'm the only one with this issue.
Things i have tried:
-Reset all network settings
-changing "Access Point Name" settings
-Turned off Google messages chat feature
+Worked with an iPhone user to to change
their settings for my phone settings.

I really don't know what else to do. Is there a way where it can automatically only send text as MMS? Any other fix?
Do you have chat features enabled? If so it's it green text that says connected?

I originally had the chat feature on (because i thought this was the problem) but since trying to troubleshoot, I've turned it off.

I just tried it right now and it's not working either. Exact same issue.
What phone did you come from?
skylinegtr116 said:
I did this, I deactived my number from imessages . Since I transferred everything over I deleted all the conversations I previously had on my s22. That seems to do the trick for me now I don't have issues with iPhone users.

Problem seemed to start on my s21 ultra ( that i noticed) then jumped into the pixel 6 pro, it still happened there. Now i have the s22 Ultra.
I never had an iPhone to be able to delete anything from imessage. So that's kind of odd for me.
Was on chat for 2 hours with my carrier (T-Mobile) and they said it was an iPhone issue. That the fix would need to be on all of the individual iPhones that I'm having issues with. I guess i won't be contacting those people anymore.
