This. And never give out your IMEI number ever, so they now have your phone number and IMEI, whats to stop them stealing it, or having it blocked on CHECKMEND and holding you to ransom?
I retract my previous statement. Tired and running my keyboard. After further investigation this looks alright, thanks OP.
My Intl Note 3 imei doesnt work :/
Yes it worked fine for me. Already used some of the money.

Just pulled the trigger, got the $50 within a minute.
Other thread about it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534678
according to a link in that thread it was verified by samsung support via facebook, so good enough for me.
Didn't work, would not accept the IMEI of my Note3 bought from Singapore.

Fine print states its for US/DC residents only, so my assumption is it needs to be a US N3 IMEI number.
Is there something similar for UK?

Worked for me as well. Was hesitant about submitting my IMEI, but the site checked out, and I got my redemption code in less than a minute. Just redeemed the code - it's legit. Thanks, OP, great find for those of us in the United States (sorry, it's US-only!) who have a Galaxy Note 3.
For US only f**k

I will never buy a Samsung product again.

I just noticed that Best Buy is selling the SIII for $100 today only. My plan was to get two of these at the end of the week (I'm waiting for a credit on my account from Sprint, which I'm switching over from). I definitely would love to save the $200 and get the phones today, but I need to make sure our phone numbers can remain as they are. So here's my question:
Can I buy the phones today, sign a contract with Verizon, and get two new phone numbers? Then have Verizon port our Sprint numbers over to those new SIII's as soon as the Sprint credit is applied to my account? I just don't want to be stuck with new phone numbers. My phone number hasn't changed in many, many years.
Thanks everyone for your help!! I am looking forward to being a part of this community soon!
Just buy them from wirefly or amazon man and there's no tax. I'm pretty sure when you sign your contract you're attaches to whatever number you get for the life of the contract.

They cost $199 on Amazon as of last night. It was $139 prior to that. Sales tax isn't that much - I'll take the $100 price tag and pay the tax.

Yes, you can port your Sprint number. You have to make this clear though. Through Verizon or sprint -- this I don't remember, but I've done it.

My experience with wirefly is that your sim is attatched to your phone for the first 6 months... if you do not use that sim they supply you with you can get hit with a hefty charge... and its an automatic charge to the credit card used to make the purchase.. it happened to me.. luckily i was able to get the charge reversed
I've gone through this once before. Just make sure that they've added the number you want to the account before you activate the phone.
If you activate first, and then port over your number later, you'll have to go through the hassle of a new SIM card.
Hey guys,
Since I already posted this in another thread, I thought I would post a new topic just in case anyone misses it.
I've got a friend working in Three who is able to get yourself the S4 at £35 a month but can also give you a £30 credit and some extra minutes too :good:
If anyone is interested then feel free to give me a message
Just out of curiosity, has anyone bought the phone from Three yet? How was your experience?
BTW this isn't just exclusive to the S4, there's other phones too.
was due for an upgrade from three, got the £35/month 500 min unlimited data also got a home signal box for free as i get bad indoor coverage.

Haha
After a few PM's with several other members I thought I'd post how this works...
I simply forward your phone number and name to someone who works in Three's direct sales department based in Glasgow. They'll contact you at a specified time and discuss the phone, the plan and the offer with you. It is up to you whether you want to place your order right there and then or place the order at another time. The order must be placed over the phone however in order to qualify for the deal as this is the only way they can add the credit and minutes to the account.
Contact me for more information if you are interested :good:
As for why I'm posting this here, let's just say I owe this person a favor
Basically DarkStones mate will be getting a commison from each of you. Which I personally think is a nice thing to do, just a shame im mates with my local store manager so already have mine ordered.

Just a heads up guys, from 26th April onwards, there will be a £49 upfront cost for the phone if you buy it online or phone into inbound sales.
Of course I can get this waived for you even after this date :good: Also, this is a new contract and not an upgrade to your existing contract for those that are interested.

You wouldn't get the extra minutes and TCB may take a while to track. The credit can be applied immediately to the account by ordering directly from Three via myself. An additional £30 credit can also be added to a friend or family Three account if you have their phone number too.

My S4 is due to come on Friday, can't wait ^_^
So, this is my second S4, it may be a short run depending on how the phone ships!
Here is the info to be supplied by this post!
1. Price I paid to Walmart.
2. Time it takes to arrive, (remember I purchased online 8/8/2013)
3. What firmware did it ship with? (will report soon as I get it)
4. If not updated, (possible rooting before the update happens)
5. End result, (those of you wondering if you can get the Samsung 3rd party before the last OTA update) we will solve here!
6. Updates will appear in post #3
Stay Tuned!!!
Walmart Price
$159.95 cheaper then ATT at posting!
this is based on 2 yr renew contract!
FREE FEDEX SHIPPING!
My Device has shipped with an arrival date of the 13th...
Updates will appear here!
:laugh:THINGS WE NOW KNOW:laugh:
1. Good deals exist through out the various carriers, do research before you buy!
2. Good sources, (right here in this thread) suggest the firmware is on the box...(look before purchasing)
3. Athough a good deal can be had online, your taking a chance of getting the updated/locked-down firmware from hell...
4. 3rd parties as well as the carriers still are shipping the old firmware, but as old stock depletes latest will be shipping!
5. If you are fortunate to get the older firmware... do not insert Sim until rooted & booted to prevent OTA..
6. My personal S4 from walmart shipped and has a delivery date of 8/13/2013
7. Please take the pole...
THANKS for STOPPING BY!
Sorry but this thread is pointless, even if you get an mdl (pre mf3) from walmart doesnt mean all wallmarts or third parties will be the same...some att stores are still selling mdl and others mf3...it just depends what that individual store has in stock

1. That is true, but some folks want to take some guesswork out of the math equation...
2. Its a better chance for Walmart to have stockpiled S4's directly from Samsung having the old Firmware..
3. If this post is useless to you... Move along!
Thanks, for posting!
Just curious, does anyone know if there is an identifier on the box that could give away the build date of the device? Would only help checking out local inventory, if possible. I threw mine away about 2 weeks ago.

Helpful tip... Thanks for the post!!
Just picked up the Galaxy Note 3 here in Korea. I am on the KT Olleh network and so far it is awesome! I also have the Note 2 which I just upgraded from, so this phone did impress me a bit. It is hard to find info on here for the Korean variant so I am creating a thread for us

I HAVE ROOTED WITHOUT TRIPPING THE KNOX.. WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED. IF YOU HAVE A KOREAN NOTE 3 PLEASE SHARE YOUR TIPS AND TRICKS!
THREAD CLOSED Root de la Vega KNOX 0x0 Root - Lots of Versions - No Exynos By @designgears & @Chainfire A BIG THANK YOU!
Can you please add our variant to the list? I am new so I cannot post to that thread for some reason.

Why is it so difficult to buy one here in Korea? I have been seeing the note 3 for sale at the kiosks but no dice on buy the device without a contract. I have the cash in the bank. I already have a contract with olleh. How come I can not just buy a device and swap sim cards here? I trying not to rant but I am on day seven on trying to find a vendor that would sell.

I don't know! They are crazy here.. I had to pay the remaining balance for the actual device I had on my last contract and also deactivate an old prepaid sim I purchase a few months ago on my account. Then get this one on a new contract... was a bit frustrating. But it was worth it. By the way one company told me $1200 for the phone without a contract. I found one for like $950.

He said it's only been used for about 2 weeks (which was 2 weeks ago) and a new screen will run me $100. So that puts me out $225. Is it worth it?
Depends on if it's a legit phone or not. Many people have been scammed into buying a stolen phone or the imei is turned in after purchase for insurance fraud.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but blacklisting a stolen phone is carrier specific, right? I'm on ATT and ATT doesn't carry the nexus 5 so the device will work, regardless of blacklisted IMEI, yes?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but blacklisting a stolen phone is carrier specific, right? I'm on ATT and ATT doesn't carry the nexus 5 so the device will work, regardless of blacklisted IMEI, yes?

Blacklisted phones are usually country wide, all carriers.
And a phone with a broken screen is certainly being sold as is. Well that means anything else could be wrong too....and since its as is....oh well. Outta luck. Lol
Save your money up....buy one that works before you shell out anything. I know what you're looking at is cheap....but if it never works, its money burnt. You only need 100 or so more for a working phone...based in the $225 you expect to spend on this one. ?
