This is not a modified COT recovery. You won't find here settings or theme or some other cool stuff they created for COT recovery. For that go to COT Recovery thread. I made this recovery to keep it simple and slim, because MTK phones have a limited size recovery partition. As I said, is a CWM modded recovery with touch screen menu buttons. Also I kept the Go Back entry in menu, just in case if for some devices is not working the touch menu (brocken or something) - in that case it will be just a good CWM recovery. You will be using same clockworkmod folder from sdcard, same backups, same settings, as a non-touch CWM Recovery.

How To Install It : ( You will need a rooted Device)
*HAVE A NANDROID BACKUP*
1.Install MobileUncleTools (apk in download link)
2.Copy the recoveryCarliv.img to root of your extrenal sdcard not to any folder
3. Go to mobileunlce tools -> recovery update -> recoveryCarliv.img -> ok -> reboot
For Aroma File Manager
1. Download the aromafm xx.zip from : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25911284#post25911284
2. Rename it to aromafm.zip
3.Go to sdcard/clockworkmod (External SD card) . Create a folder named .aroma ( If you cant create the folder via comp , do it via your mobile)
4. Copy The aromafm.zip to .aroma folder
5. Enter Recovery Mode -> Carliv-> Aroma
KABOOM!!
ENJOY!!!
NOTE: This is for the XOLO Q800 OLD VERSION not for the NEW ONES. NEW ONES can try but dont blame me for any problem!
BUGS/ISSUE : After you do format cache DO NOT select reboot to system . GO to Power Options -> Power OFF and the power on manually. This is only with format cache . Rest you can select reboot to system directly

CWM Recovery Flashing (through SP Flash Tool) (for Canvas 4)
and Rooting without root exploit by flashing root file through CWM Recovery
Procedure (for flashing CWM Recovery):
Download all (software) requirements to a folder (Check it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466694)
Download CWM Recovery for Canvas 4 (Click here)
Extract it to a folder (this is the extracted firmware for this guide)
Install drivers & extract SP Flash Tool to a folder
Open Flash_tool.exe
Click Scatter-loading
Select MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt (for Canvas 4) found in extracted CWM Recovery
Click Download button or press F9
Shutdown your Canvas 4 and connect it with Micro USB to PC running the Flash Tool
See it flashing before your eyes and wait for a green circle to show up on your PC to indicate successful flashing.
Restart phone and Done!
Procedure (for rooting without root exploit):
Download root file and copy it to SDCard (without extracting!)
Boot to CWM Recovery ( Steps: )
Shutdown phone
Press Volume Up+Volume Down+Home (together)
Navigate to the Recovery option and press Volume Down
Go to install zip from sdcard
Select SuperUser zip
Reboot and Done!

This is kitkat based recovery and has full SELinux support . I don't own this device but ported this recovery on the request of @Kiranveer Singh so device and testing credits goes to him . Test at your own risk . And always have a backup before flashing anything .
NOTE: Don't use this recovery on any other device except above specified device !!!

- bottom virtual navigation keys, to compensate the non-function of swipe in some phones
- a "nvram backup/restore" menu: the nvram partition will be backed up in clockworkmod/backup/.nvram/nvram-xxxxx folder as nvram.img. This will help if you lose IMEI and other communication features. It will work only if you have the nvram partition defined in recovery.fstab. If the nvram partition is damaged (as in flashing an oversized recovery) this will not help you, and you need SPFlashTools to reflash with format your phone official firmware, and after that flash this recovery, boot in recovery and restore nvram.
