Hello,
I am wanting to flash the following stable Cyanogenmod ROM to my HTC Desire S, but I am unsure whether or not I follow the same procedure as you would normally do. How would I flash the following ROM to my phone?
http://get.cm/get/2KF
Thanks in advance
The cm installer is not compatible with the saga, the cm roms in the development forum are all "unofficial" ports. If you check the compatability chart for the app you will see that the saga is not listed. Saga does not have official cm support as the kernel is considered unstable.

Edit : i stand corrected, but i dont think you require gapps as it is already included.

Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only at the u81xxcm91 bug tracker. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
REPORT BUGS IN THIS THREAD ONLY
Grab a logcat (adb logcat -d > logcat.txt) right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)

Very smooth, better than other cm9.1 roms. (usb mass storage isnt working )
Check PC, usb mass storage is full working, i ultra tested it xD
Alberto,
I appreciate you putting me in the credits, but your first post is still misleading, as it suggests that you have built this ROM from source. In fact, you are not building from source - it is a binary modification of my most recent CM9 build (which I really have built from source).
Another (small, but annoying) thing you have done is changed the authorship of scripts that are clearly not your own. For example, your "02HuaweiProps" script says "by Alberto96", but in fact it is an unmodified version of my "02setuphardware" script, which you can see here: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...ngerbread/prebuilt/etc/init.d/02setuphardware. It is generally not good behaviour to try and pass off other people's work as your own.
Yes is true, i changed it (script) as before i mod it adding some changes (for u8180 touch and differences in camera), but i changed them differently and i leave my credits in scripts. Sorry, i will fix it in next version. I will add also this alert in first post. Thanks for the alert
UPDATE: Fixed for Future Release
U8120/10/00 Version almost ready, only need testing on bluetooth and is ok All is new now, audio module, graphic initializer,.... all! Works smooth and without problems. Link will appear on thread when rom test is succesfully. U8150 rom needs still to be tested.

general impressions are good for U8110
- sound is a little weaker but can survive
- wifi, bluetooth, camera works
the biggest problem is the calibration screen, the corners and the top and bottom of the screen is very difficult
thanks for your hard work for us
So here is the deal folks,
**FOR SCREENSHOTS CLICK HERE!!**
I have updated my first supported ShoreDroid device using CM, AOSP and OmniROM to Android 4.4! This is a beta build and as such will come with a couple bugs - please report them here and not to CM, AOSP or OmniROM.
This build is the first and will not come with everything at once but right now it's a working build of KitKat. I have included the updated unofficial CWM Recovery you will need to flash this to your device. I have also included a flashable zip for those who just want to update recovery and flash with s-off and an installer script for those who have s-on using a windows machine.
Below are the instructions - please read them and understand I take no liability whatsoever with whatever may happen to your device. You take full responsibility from here.
Basics such as unlocking bootloader, rooting, fastboot and flashing should all be assets prior to beginning!
Flashable Steps
1. Download the current ROM and have it ready on your device -------->DOWNLOAD Updated!!!
2. Download my unofficial CWM Recovery and fastboot flash it to update your recovery ------->http://d-h.st/bSM
3. Boot into recovery and ensure you have a backup made
4. Factory Wipe, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik and Format System prior to flashing or you'll end up unstable
5. Flash ROM
6. Flash Gapps found here ---------->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
7. Reboot and voila!
*You can still do this method with s-on but you will have to first extract the boot.img for the zip and fastboot flash it right after updating your recovery and then flash the zip from step 4 down. Or you can use the installer script!
Update Script
1. Download the Installer Package here ---------> DOWNLOAD
2. Ensure the current ROM zip is on your phone as well!!!
3. Unzip the update script to your desktop
4. Reboot into recovery and flash ROM zip then go to advanced-reboot into bootloader
5. Run UPDATE.bat and follow instructions exactly or you will end up with boot loops!!!
6. Voila!

ViPER4Android FX
Introduction
We have decided to leave BeatsAudio behind and start a new chapter of audio enhancement with KitKat. We are pleased to merge ViPER Audio into the ROM. You'll find the control panel is similar to DSP Manager and that all features are easy to use. I've personally tested the system out with urBeats headphones and it sounds great with the effects that you're able to manipulate. We will add continuously to this post as it will be our official ViPER support post so check back for more information later.

Hello,
I have twrp 2.6.0 and would that cwm recovery override it? thanks
Phoenixita's recovery should be fine, it is CWM after all. I agree about that Recovery Tools app too, it's a really valuable app if you want to switch recoveries easily.

Scozzar said:
Yes it would. You can only have one recovery installed at a time. Lately, I've been using the Recovery Tools app on the Play Store. It allows you to flash recoveries without having to use your computer. It's nice if you're going between 4.3.1 and 4.4 ROMs because you can flash CWM and twrp.
EDIT: Also, can we use Phoenixita's recovery for this as well? I would prefer, just so I don't have 3 different recoveries all named "recovery.img". Can we rename the file, or would that screw things up?

You can freely rename them. Not sure if recovery tools has anything in its scripting to load only recovery.IMG though. If you flash with fastboot, you will just have to alter your command to reflect the respective file name. i.e. fastboot flash recovery whateveryourenamedyourrecovery.img

hello mate, are you a developer of this rom? I was testing the latest build and there were no PA features as stated. Not even chance to change SW buttons to order you want.
Has anybody tried flashing this and have any feedback on it? Any bugs or issues? With being a stock Android rom I would figure this would get more comments and feedback? Or is this a troll post? No disrespect to op.

I don't have test it but I confirm you that this ROM isn't a fake. The official thread is on OPPO Community and his author is jumoog
P.S. In the official thread you can find the update link, search in the various reply (if I remember correctly, the latest version is 11/13)

I created a script that'll ease Custom ROM installation on A/B devices. The script is generic and will work w/ any rom, device.
General flash instructions:
-Flash your devices' Stock ROM (for firmware)
-Flash your Custom ROM of choice
-Flash Finalize.zip
-Boot to System
Download finalize script from here
#######################################
For the intellectuals: This script clears the dalvik-cache and copies the firmware to both slots.
Hope this saved you guys some headache while flashing ROMs.
