When I'm outputting HDMI to the TV at my grandparent's house (a 720p TV), it doesn't display correctly. Does anyone know how to control the HDMI settings? There's only 3D settings in the system settings

Try adjusting the TV set instead.
Bye.

What exactly do you mean by doesnt display correctly? Is it cropped, stretched, etc.

It doesn't fit the screen, it chops off the top and bottom and leaves a letterbox on the side

There should be some settings on the TV - I am not sure about the TV you are using, but on my older 720p Panny Plasma, there is a 1080p option to chose, and then the TV will downscale it to its native format (720p). My guess is the TV is set at 720p or something else, and actually should be set higher if possible, and then it will downscale accordingly.
i have t 1080p tv and when i connect my ASUS Transformer Pad infinity TF700T to the tv at first it shows a 16:10 mirror of what I have on the tablet then when i go to the settings all the way down to the HDMI settings, it changes the output to a full screen 16:9 without the status bar on the tv and on the tablet the wallpaper moves up.
if i run a game or browsing the web its full screen on the tv without the status bar 1080p with 60 FPS.
by the way the 3d works great on the tv and i will make a video showing how good it works

Worked for me as well, but works even better on my TV since I'm back home (just bought a nice new 32" Vizio LED HDTV that can actually do 1080p).

There was a setting in the prime that allowed you to crop or fit the image to the tv. I just doing think Asus thought about adding it yet.

Yeah there was a setting on the Prime, that was added ever several updates following it's launch I was disappointed to see the Infinity not have this same setting seeing how it's suppose to be ahead of the Prime on features.

This irks me as well. My Prime looked great on both of my HD tv's. The infinity on the other hand not so nice. I hope the infinity receives the same settings update that the prime received.

Nothing wrong but i guess your mkv have DTS audio and the internal player doesn't support it (please correct me if i'm wrong) but you can use BSplayer or Dice player as they use soft decoding for those formats.

Dice needs an additional library file. I've included this solution in my apps thread a while ago, btw.
MX Player works for me if I use the S/W Decoder. I had the same problem when it was set on H/W. Now, it pays everything I've thrown at it. Too bad VLC doesn't have their act together in the Android field.
BS player works great even with HDMI

S/W decoding is slow and bad for the battery life, AFAIK, so no reason to be stubborn with one player ;>
Hey there..
There's no working dts with any Player. I read that the problem starts with the JB-Update.
Have you found a solution?
I just want to watch Movies from GooglePlayer in HD and 5.1
Player
. mkv files with DTS audio can be played with the BS Player.

Used to use MX Player myself until I encountered problems with Audio in movie files. I've been a BS Player user now for many months - it's teh awesome!

There was a Tegra3 S/W decoding bug in MXplayer. It's been fixed now. That could've been the cause.
Hi
Currently on cleanrom 3.1, no data2sd. Overall tablet working well ... but when using the google music android app .... the refresh and display of local music can take over a minute if I've not used it for a while.
Anyone else experiencing the same .... or suggestions for a fix ...

Yep known problem with the way Google Music works. Either you'll have to live with it, reduce the amount of music or move to another music app.
Thanks for the quick response. Real shame as i love the ui!

Yeah me too. At one point I had 60+ albums on there but couldn't stand the 'refresh' everytime I opened it. Now I keep maybe 8 or 10 and it is a lot better.
Maybe google will figure out how to do better media storage caching at some point. The gallery suffers from the same issue as does the google books app and magazines and so on ....
One thing though .... trying this on my samsung galaxy s 2 .... no lag with refresh at all .... with around 50 local albums. Running latest res.remix/4.2.1
Would be interesting to know how device specific this is...

Can the Kitchen be set up to work with the Asus Memo Pad HD 7?
Yep. Works fine.
