I'm new here and i couldn't find any topic concerning my doubt.
So, both my touchscreen and my lcd screen are brokne and i couldn't find any A953 parts where I live but i found A955 parts on ebay and here´s my question : Can i change my A953 broken parts to this new A955 parts?
I had the same problem, and tried without asking first. It didn't fit So I had to buy a 'new' MS2 on ebay, hopefully the screen will last longer this time.

Same here. Screen bought on ebay (~20) and replaced by me, it's definitely not simple but neither impossible...

~20€. They sent me: digitizer touch screen+LCD display+ 2 opening tools.
I replaced the screen by myself following a video tutorial found on Youtube that shows how to dismount the diamond (but not how to replace the screen). The only problem I encountered is that lcd and touch have both a 4 pin connector that must be solderer together, so you must be able to do that (and I wasn't ).
I'm a new user so the forum doesn't allow me to post external link.. anyway you can find some screen easily on ebay.
P.S. now my diamond works like a charm!

the lcd and digitizer come seperated and no instructions are included.
i ordered and replaced both last week.
i wanted to replace only the digitizer but when i opened the devide they were glued together and had soldered flex cables.
i ended up replacing both lcd and digitizer and soldering the flex cables.
works like a charm.

A few days ago I dropped my Desire S on the floor so now I need to replace the glass. The phone is still working perfectly so I'm not going to pay the full price at HTC (besides that, I got the phone for free in a contest).
So ofcourse I have done some research, and found out that there isn't a lot of information about the Desire S yet. I did stumble upon this (detailed) guide:

Although I found this guide, my first question is if anyone knows another/even better guide then this one?
My second question is about the actual Digitizer. I found some sellers on ebay, but I find it extremely difficult to determine whether they are good sellers. Does anyone have any experience with sellers on ebay? Are these digitizers of the same quality as the original? I was thinking of the following sellers:

I've had a few iPhone screens off them, top quality and quick delivery. Not sure about fitting tho

there are quite a few screens on ebay which claim to be genuine. Not sure if they are but at least you can complain through paypal to get your money back if you don't think the item is genuine. I've only bought a digitizer once before for the iphone 3g from ebay. It turned out to be good quality and it's still in good condition apart from a little dust under the screen which might become an issue, but i think this is an issue anyway with the desire s.
Also, that guide looks pretty good and clear. can't find anything others.

i bought 2 of ebay.. Ath the moment there is a copy (non-original) digitizer on ebay and i do beleive that most of those sold on ebay are copies.. i got 1 from china and 1 from UK. The UK was copy.. The one from Hong-Kong looked like original..
you can understand the non-original as the symbols & the HTC (logo) are how can i say it "less bold" than the original. and the surface of the digitizer is not as smooth to the finger as the original

Do you remember (or can you look up) the one from Hong Kong? This shop looks pretty genuine to me, beacsue they also sell the "Frame Bezelf Housing Case". I find it hard to believe that they also make copies of those, but I might be wrong. They are also the creators of the guide I posted!

the thing is that this one looked original, but the back of the digitizer (the circuits & the cable ) was a little bit different than original..
The copy which i got from a UK seller looked as a copy (text symbols and touch wise - it even was a fingertips magnet 200% more than original) but looked exactly like the original from behind (even the cable had the same part numbers etc) clearly a great copy job
so you choose original front or original back
Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone would be able to help me with my question/problem. I'm kind of new to this site, so please excuse me if I seem noobish. I tried looking everywhere in the forums for something similar to my predicament, but I didn't find anything. Either that, or I didn't look very well.
Anyways, I'll try to be as brief as possible. I bought a broken Samsung Galaxy S2 with a cracked screen and broken digitizer for $100. My plan was to swap out everything with replacement parts, but when I took it apart to check the model number (because I noticed some differences from my i9100) I found out that it was the Korean-type S2. The model number is SHW-M250S. I looked everywhere on Ebay and Amazon for the lcd screen and digitizer for this exact model, and nothing came up except the regular i9100 lcd+digitizer replacements. I did check on Amazon, and the closest thing I was able to find for the shw-m250s model are these items that are in the link below. Other than the lcd screen and digitizer, it also comes with a brand new housing and other parts I don't need. Which is just making it more expensive. Link below:

My question is, can I use a regular i9100 lcd screen and digitizer replacement part for my SHW-M250S model, or at least use the (SHW-M250L) model part that I found on Amazon? The SHW-M250L parts look very similar to the one that I have. (That "L" could be a typo) If not, can someone send me a link to a site or place where I can buy ONLY the lcd screen and digitizer part for my exact model?

Well I was browsing around and found a website that sells parts for Motorola devices and they do have a digitizer for the original Xoom for around $80. I am new so I can't post the link but the website is called "repairsuniverse".
They are out of stock everywhere. Been trying for months now :banghead:

I bought a Xoom with a broken mobo. So yes. Now I have a spare battery pack as well
where did you buy it... as im tired of search and yet still couldn't find any...
Just stumbled on someone with a water damaged xoom. Just good luck. There is no 'place' to look. But do the math, a digitizer replacement is more then 100$,you can buy a new xoom for 200 to 300 now. Look on ebay I've seen max bids of 180 for as new 2nd hand
