[APP][Xposed] Per app DPI for all apps, Volume Skip Track, Status Bar Tweaks & more
Great News: Xposed Installer now supports Galaxy S4
Galaxy S4 has a nice 5 inch display. But having phoneUI in all the apps doesn't justify the screen size. With Xposed App Settings you can change layout and density of each app to tabletUI or PhabletUI whatever your preferences are.
I have tried it on Stock Rom. So it should probably work with every rooted ROM ODEX or DEODEX.
How to Install
1. Make a Nandroid Backup. (Just in case you mess up any system file)
2. Download the XposedInstaller 2.1.4 apk and install it. Launch it and grant it root permissions. Then press Install/Update button. Then reboot.
3. Download the Per App Density Setting apk and install it.
4. Launch the Xposed Framework App then in the module tab, enable the Per App Density Module. Then reboot.
5. Launch the Per App Settings app and there you can now set per app density for all apps listed.
Galaxy S4 has a default dpi of 480, So if you want phabletUI for any app then set dpi to 320-380 and layout to 800x1080. For tabletUI try dpi value from 180-240.
I have tried phabletUI for some google apps like Playstore, Gmail and Google Now. You can try various settings and keep whatever suits you best.
I will share some settings I have tried later tonight.
Note: You can also try it with Multi DPI Stock apps shared by bala_gamer.
If not using above Multi DPI apps then don't try these settings with Samsung apps. for now. You will just end up with weird layout.
More Tweaks Here: For more tweaks like volume button skip music, status bar tweaks and many many more check out this thread!! It says that its only for At & T version but I have tested it on my I9500 its working fine.
I am just sharing cool stuff I find in this forum and I don't take any responsibility for any damage to your phone. So whatever mods you apply, always make a NANDROID Backup
Thanks to rovo89 and tungstwenty for Xposed Framework and Per App Settings. And special thanks to xperiacle, I have been using his mods in my Galaxy Note and if it wasn't him then maybe I wouldn't find this amazing app.
You can also use the smiley replacer.apk with the xposed app installer

You can't just edit notification bar dpi. For that you will have to change DPI of your phone. But Stock Samsung apps won't fit properly if you change Phone's DPI. You can find more information about changing phone's DPI here

I wish there were PhabletUI Samsung apps available. But if you want to change just the dpi and not layout then read the OP. There's a link for some Multi-DPI stock apps. And for the TabletUI of stock apps lets wait for 4.2.2 updates for bigger devices like Tab, Note 10.1, Note 8 so that we can try pulling apks from them.
Installed and working fine
is it possible to change phone DPI to custom and set app specific density for samsung apps? will this kind of layout works ?
Yes I know about it im using it from SGS3 and for SGS4 waiting only for modded TW launcher, thats why I was so curious if this will handle it without the need to use modded multiDPI apps. Nevermind as the multi TW launcher will be avaible I wont need Xposed. THX for reply anyway enjoy it

No it's more tricky with Samsung apps. If you want for example 320 dpi for Contacts app then first you need a contacts app of 320 dpi and then you can change density from this app, just changing phones dpi won't do it. You can find some of these apps in another thread called Multi-DPI Samsung apps. Check op for the link.
You can also try to pull apps from another phones like gs3 or note which have different dpi but I'm not sure about their compatibility with 4.2.2 roms.

Well you already must have have small nav bars or modded ones.
Maybe, if you replace the system ui with stock one or unmod the nav bar to the earlier state, it'll work.
Also, as @Crytech told me, it might only work on pure stock.

Thank you dude!
but the remaining xposed i have is only the lockscreen..
Xda Member gakugaku made possible to install the new Htc sense 6 Blinkfeed on any device.
I tried it on my Galaxy Note and it's amazing. We only need to change Blinkfeed's dpi to fit our screen properly.
This only works with Android 4.4.x Now I'm using the latest Biftor™SlimKat Rom and it's working fine on it.
It doesn't work with Art runtime, only Dalvik.
I post here the latest version of Blinkfeed by gakugaku:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4Lj-ul49PJtTXNqaXpFQWJLcnM/edit?usp=sharing
http://www23.zippyshare.com/v/33915965/file.html
-Unzip the file and install apks normally.
(Root is not needed but we need a 4.4x Rom to make it work...so you can choose any Kitkat Rom for our device on Xda)
-If you will install Blinkfeed and weather, you'll find blinkfeed as launcher option, set it as your default launcher and close the others.
- Now, you will find the Htc weather settings in your rom/settings/account,(near the Google an Email ones), configure it.
If not, go to settings and add account.
-Pinch in any launcher's page and set the left most one (blinkfeed) as home...Htc clock and weather now must work.
(weather works only on Blinkfeed, weather apk itself doesn't work).
-Feeds are working too, you'll find other feed options (swipe on the left).
-Install Xposed module and Xposed app settings (thanks to xperiacle, take a look here to find them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072081), open xposed, update all, enable App Settings module and reboot.
-Open App Setting app and set Blinkfeed dpi to fit screen properly.
I suggest these three options: 354 (the best for me), 367 (maybe too big), 264 (the small one...) but all of you can try and find a best dpi setting.
(Setting a wrong dpi number will mess up weather icon).
You can choose from Magenta, Green, Orange and Black (original colors), plus the new colors edited by gakugaku: Blue and Red.
All thanks to gakugaku(getting Blinkfeed to work) and raj_ch2002(weather)!

Sorry I didn't see what you wrote...It cannot work with Art! Also, xposed won't work in Art. So, if you want use these things, switch to dalvik.

Facebook still needs to be ported, I don't know if it will be possible or when. Weather icon can be added on blinkfeed as in instructions above.
Can you see clock and weather on your blinkfeed page?

Yeah it's working on my device.
