Copy the file to the internal storage and flash it. Of course You need root and custom recovery, like CWM - you can't do it in stock recovery.
I already do that.. with Odin.. and CWM_s2vep_k2wl .. but still dont have it..
Code:
<ID:0/005> Added!!
<ID:0/005> Odin v.3 engine (ID:5)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/005> Initialzation..
<ID:0/005> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/005> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/005> recovery.img
<ID:0/005> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/005> RQT_CLOSE !!
<ID:0/005> RES OK !!
If you have cwm already installed its on install zip/choose zip from external sdcard
That's i am saying..i installed it and still dont have "install from external storage"

Ok, i see two options for U:
1. If U don't have CWM after flashing it with odin, U must untick "reboot" in odin before flashing, and after flashing it, go to recovery mode manually, than U should have CWM permanently (there was a thread somewhere here about making CWM "permanent", cause saome people had the same problem). Try to search the forum.
2. If U already Have CWM permanently, there's this little thing, that in this version of CWM u can't flash from external SD, cause it's not recognized by the recovery. Copy the zip to internal storage with some explorer (before booting to recovery mode), than boot into recovery mode and then flash it: install zip>choose zip from sd card>scroll down the list, and choose the zip file. this sd card is your internal sd card, not the external.
Good luck :good:
Are working first way.. i unstick reboot .. and i go in recovery mode after install CMW ..
Now i am instaling custom room.. thanks alot bro !
Edit : After installing room.. i got "Loading" around ten minutes.. i wipe the phone.. and now i do not have a custom room in internal memory and phone do not open .. How can i pun 1 files in phone by recovery mode ?

Hi,
this is the whole situation guys,,
the tab is 7.7 3G model (P6800) running 3.2
I used odin so I can flash offical ICS using firmware from sammobile and the pit file they provided ,,but Odin always crash at the end and I turn off the device by force.
after a while I flashed CWM recovery using odin and it worked so I used external sd card and flashed this ROM with CWM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520888
and the device booted ok but the internal memory say total space 441MB when it is actually 16GB !!
did I broke my device ? please help guys I beg you.
Did you tick Repartition in ODIN when flashing the ROM ?
If you did that might be why.
However here are 3 ways of how to repair this :
1) Find a PIT file for your specific model (in your case you need a PIT for P6800 16gb)
and flash it with ODIN with repartition ticked (put the PIT file in the PIT slot, obviously)
I can only provide a PIT for P6810 16gb model, but google might help you find one for P6800 16gb.
2) Repartition /data (mmcblk0p9 for P6810/mmcblk0p10 for P6800) manually through adb using parted and e2fsck.
(I can give you further instruction about this if the PIT file didn't work, however it is likely you won't get ALL of the internal storage capacity back with this method, although you can manage to earn a few gigs)
3) Send it to Samsung so they repair it for you (if your warranty can make them repair it for free, this is the solution you want to pick)
This reduction of internal storage is typically what you get after fixing the SuperBrick bug (MMC_CAP_ERASE) that our tab suffer from.
But apparently you didn't have brick as you can boot your tab and odin didn't get stuck on Factoryfs.img
Hope it helps, do not hesitate to ask for further help.
I can't and won't be held responsible for any harm made to your tab or whatever
You can also try this to make your external sdcard work as an internal sdcard : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1491954
i've got got more complicated problems

At first i want to root my galaxy tab plus but ,after applying the update.zip the cyanogen bootscreen stuck and rotating and never boot into OS
Then I've tried to flash it with odin but it won;t boot too.
then i broought it to Samsung Service Center, and they said that the Internal memory and mainboard is crashed.
Is there any help??
When I check out my available storage, it shows nothing for USB internal storage. It only shows the "Device Memory" of 1.97gb as the total space. If I put in an external SD card, it does show that. I know that it will not show my full 16gb, but there should be an un-mounted partition of approximately 10gb free.
I think it may have happened as I tried installing a couple of roms. I installed the CM10 JB and a stock rooted 4.04 one. I just got the device and it came with 4.03 on it. I have tried reinstalling different stock ones and they all show no internal usb storage anymore. How can I tell if there is an unused partition on the device? I have ADB/Shell access, but not sure what commands to use. When I go to CWM and mount the "USB Storage" it doesn’t mount it.
I have tried to fix permissions, reset everything and installed the stock rom from odin and CWM. I also tried CWM 6. I appreciate any help on this matter.
Thanks.
I had the same problem I solved it by using .PIT file with stock ROM
and repartitioning when using odin
I am attaching the file please use it at your own risk
I am not a devoloper

I just tried that and i'm still having the same problems. This is what I did. I put the file you gave me in the .pit box and put the Russian Stock 4.04 in the PDA box. I made sure the Re-Partition box was checked. Do I need CWM installed before I do this? What stock file did you use? I appreciate it.
I just tried it again with Odin 1.87 and it worked!!! It now saws I have 12gb free. Is that normal? I assume therest is reserved for other things.
Thank you so much!!!
One more question. Should I have a seperate partition for USB storage as I thought I did before? It use to say 1.97gb of device memory and 10gb of USB storage.
where did you download odin 1.87 the latest version i know is 1.85?

Actually, 12GB free is normal. the other 4 GB is reserved for system(software/apps)
Whats with this idea that the pit file is a silver bullet for everything?

I suggest to try the pit file with extreme as i know it reformat and repartition system partition so if used incorrectly could miss up with system and brick the device

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem, did all mentioned above And I still have lest than 2GB of memery, depending on the ROM i flash, ODIN gives no errors
Update: in ODIN deselect reboot, after flash reboot manualy to recovery and select factory reset - reformated and worked
Hi there, I'm new and I've been snooping around this forum and I couldn't really come across anything about my issue, or at least as close ):
My Nexus S 4g will only boot into bootloader / Recovery and Download mode. I'm unable to mount my sd card what so ever, I've done a cache partition wipe and a factory reset. Also, I'm not able to mount via usb storage, and for that. I get the following error message:
Code:
E:Unable to write ums lunfile (No such file or directory)
Even though the sd card won't mount, I thought using Odin to go back to stock (or what ever it is that the files are) would help. My laptop recognizes the phone in Download mode, I've tried three different versions of Odin (v.1.85, v.1.87 and v.3.07) with files that I've gathered from an androidcentral thread (this is my first post here so I can't give links yet :/)
If you google "Odin nexus s 4g" it'll be the very first link from 'AndroidCentral'
In all three versions of Odin I've used, it barely starts. It would stop at:
Code:
<ID:0/008> Initialzation..
<ID:0/008> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/008> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/008> bootloader.img
<ID:0/008> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/008> system.img
and it fails everytime.
Hoping some one here can still help??
Using CWM Recovery v.6.0.1.0
Was rooted with CodeName Android 3.3.2
and it had Air Kernel BlueColor
EDIT: I read a thread, and I guess that means I should move it there? But a member says that the newer 6.0+ versions of CWM has a broken usb mount feature and says to REFLASH to an older stable version. My question is, how do I reflash a stable CWM image when I can't mount it to my computer in the first place? Is SDK Tools able to read my phone just like Odin and I need to do it there, or what?
I really apologize if I'm spamming already answered questions and not searching properly, if these exact problems are answered somewhere PLEASE point me to the right direction!
EDIT #2: I found out how to with the cmd prompt haha. I reflashed to CWM v5.0.2.0 but it still did nothing, still unable to mount sd and usb mass storage. ALSO I noticed when I flash a system image it just sits there. (really sorry for clogging this with more possible spam)
Hi guys…
I’ve just upgrade my GT-P6800 (wifi + 3G) 32Gb from HC to ICS using odin to flash firmware. Using firmware XSE, PIT, and modem, it’s successfully to ICS but internal memory reduced to 16Gb, please help me how to get back internal memory to 32Gb? My friend told me to flash a PIT file for GT-P6800 32Gb, where I can find it?
it is because you may have initially flashed a PIT file that was intended for the 16GB model

I edit my 16G PIT to 32GPIT for you. I don't know the real size of 32G so I just double the data partition to 28G+. you may lost a few hundred M.
The PIT file:
http://kuai.xunlei.com/d/MDIDBFYPUMXZ
flash the rom again with Odin.
Load the rom file in Odin
click the PIT button and replace with the above file. Start
Do remember not to do Factoy rest or wipe! It may brick your Tablet!
Goodluck!
As we know there is a PIT file to flash in Odin3.
I want to if someone has a PIT file for GT-i8262 and how can I customize to get more Internal storage space?
