Could you please tell me the parameteres of the original charger?
Do you have experiences with other chargers? (e.g. 1500mA etc)
I'm waiting for a Galaxy S Relay to be shipped from US and I will need to buy a EU charger for it.
Thanks.
hmmm???
Any microUSB charger will work. Relay will not draw more than 1 amp regardless of which charger you buy.

I have a Charger adapter that I got with my GalaxyS years ago. It is the type that you just plug in your standard USB cable into it then plug into a cigarette lighter in your car. My question is does the S4 have the same voltage and amp requirements as older Galaxys so I can use this adapter now for my S4?
Thanks

It seems from what I have read after Goggling that is "might" work but most people seem to recommend a 2amp model that has the cord built in not the plug in USB type.
U can use 2.6amp or lower. Older chargers are probably 1amp or lower so that's fine. But it'll charge slow compared to a 2amp ones which is what I use. U can buy a pny brand car cigarette usb adapter 2amp output for $7 on amazon and oem usb cable for $3.

I was using older chargers with my S4 also but it was taking way too long. I got a 2amp one for home and one for the car and now it charges properly.
you might find that the gps will eat the batter faster than it can charge using an old 1amp charger, recomended to get a 2A one for sure
Would I be risking any damage by using my Motorola car charger?
It will be fine I used to use my BlackBerry charger for mine
U can use Motorola or blackberry chargers. Motorola actually makes good chargers.

Thanks for all the info guys.
Will this charger be safe?

I've read that chargers can damage the phone, but it seems to be debateable. I also have a motorola wall charger that has an output listed as 5V=850mA
Is that one safe to use as well? I've used these two charges with my old phones, but I want to make sure its safe to use with the S4.
I bought these

Spend the extra few dollars and get a faster charger.

Cose in discription it refers compatibility with S4, Note 3 and Nexus7?

I've used my Nexus 7 2012 2A charger and my Anker 2A portable battery pack to charge various different phones including N4, N5 and HTC One without any issues-the phone's charging circuits will not allow them to charge at a higher current than the phone would like.
My worry with that charger would be the quality of it being a cheap Ebay special. Probably won't damage your device but then again it might, plus will it actually charge at 2A anyway?
Using a 5v 2.0 A charger should be fine. USB chargers are all 5V. The nexus 5 comes with a 1.2A charger. Using the 2A charger won't cause any harm because the phone itself draws the current it needs.
However, I did notice that while using my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 charger that has an output of 2A, that it started to charge my nexus at 1.5A.
So using a 2A charger over the 1.2A charger that came with the Nexus, will actually charge the phone about .3A faster
But you do have to watch who you buy it from. Some chargers don't output at the rate they are supposed to.

Does anyone know where to buy a genuine white Samsung galaxy tab S mains charger in the UK?
I've tried Amazon UK and received a black unmarked charger which I returned.
Thanks
I bought one on ebay, genuine Samsung, UK seller as well.

Does it really matter what colour the charger is? My bronze 8.4 came with a white charger. Tis just a charger, no one is going to see it apart from you.

I'd say most important is 5.3V and 2.1 amps. Cord must have the proper configuration. Easiest is to buy true Samsung versions of those.
I found that my 10.5 S worked best that way.
This has 2.1A output and two USB ports (though it only outputs 2.1A total ie. if you connect two devices to charge both will get 1A each):

Was on thanksgiving vacation and just lost my Samsung charger for the edge. Where can I buy an original Samsung rapid charger?
I only see the travel charger on their website. Thanks
Probably eBay or Amazon.

I only see chargers from S. Korea, and with non standard wall plugs. Samsung need to get their act together. As much as I despise iphones. At least when they release a phone, accessories and cables are always readily available at their online and retail store.
Now I have no idea where to go to buy an original Samsung charger. it's not available on their website or with ATT/T-Mobile. This is pretty rediculous.

You can use any descent micro usb cable and a 2.1a charger (or better). I have tested mine on a HP touchpad charger, fleabay 2.1a ac chargers ... I even charged my Edge with an ipad 2 charger + my own micro usb cable this morning at work (charged really quickly).
Search eBay, I just did a search and found s bunch of them. Use the term below to do your search.
Samsung Note Edge oem charger

I really wanted the original adaptive fast charger with Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 specs.
I can't tell from eBay if these are just samsung travel charger or the charger with the fast charging specs they heavily promoted
It's just really stupid samsung makes us jump through hoops. I think they literally want us to buy another phone to get a charger. It's nowhere on their website at all.
I ended up buying a tenergy with quick charge 2.0 specs On amazon.
Thanks for everyone suggestion

From what I know the note 4 uses the same charger doesn't it? Might aswell try to find one of those.
The Scosche car charger that I've been using with my old phone (HTC One m7) doesn't charger my Note 4, but still chargers the HTC.
This type http://www.amazon.co.uk/Scosche-Dual-USB-Car-Charger/dp/B00E1UWA4O/ the dual USB charger.
I've tried various cables (Note 4, another Samsung, Mini USB with Micro adaptor cables), they charge all devices, when connected to mains power.
Additionally, I've got a cheap 750ma output car charger, that was free with some eBay tat and that chargers the Note 4, obviously too slowly to be of any real use.
Does anyone else have the Scosche charger?
Should a non QC2 charger work, I'm guess it should?
Should I just buy a QC2 car charger?
The only thing I've not tried, is switching off the QC feature in the phone. But, I wouldn't think I should have to do that.
Thank you for any feedback.
********** Edit **********
Just to help anyone else in internet land who might be reading this.
I contacted Scosche and they recommend using a charge only cable to fix the issue with the Note 4 (and possibly S5).
I can't confirm this, I don't have a such a cable at the time of writing. But I might have shortly.
I use a Anker power IQ charger in my car and it works with the Note 4. Non qc2 chargers should work fine.

Any 1000 - 2000 mAh charger will work on our Note 4.
I've tried HTC 1000 mAh charger, even Blackberry charger & all working.
May be the Scosche pin circuitry is not compatible with Note 4, try another car charger.
I'm using Capdase 4 ports car charger (2 ports 2.1 Ah & 2 ports 1 Ah) and it charge my Note 4 quite fast even without Fast Charging capability.
Thank you all for the replies :good:
I'll try the Aukey charger.
look for a car charger that has 2.1A output rating.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=2.1A+output+car+charger
Great set of cables helps too.

I decided to get the Aukey QC2 model, which should arrive tomorrow.
I bought this 2.4 amp MiLi smart car charger... works very well. Even recognized the fast charging. Simultaneously charged my note 4 and my ipad air at good speed.

I use an Incipio QC2 certified 12v adapter in my car that worked fine on Kit Kat but on Lollipoop I've lost the fast charge capability, only regular charging.
