i mean tell you if there is an app to see storage and other chips manufacturer... for example on the nexus 5 rom memory is sandisk
Why do you need to know who makes the storeage and im sure if you look at the service manual which was leaked a few months back it will have a list of parts and vendors
ifixit already got these info for you

You should definitely try it ... and let us know how it goes. I understand your hesitancy, but one would think that you couldn't brick it via this procedure if you couldn't root it via this procedure.
Doesn't work I just tried it.

Please post here, going to flash it with odin to test if it works. I will properly be the only one with balls.
You'll probably be the first one with a hard bricked phone on its way to Samsung for a motherboard exchange.
Lol ^
I wouldnt do that. Google devices usually have very different bootloaders. Maybe the device has a different partition layout etc.
You'll have a bricked device for sure. Let the devs look into it first
I also going to do it, idc maybe we have to flash I9505G .pit file =]
Without all that Samsung boat the system partition will be smaller for sure

psshh maybe i wait for OP to flash first
meeh depending on how much different the devices are it can work,
i've flashed sprint version on SGS II international and it worked so if the hardware of I9505G isn't to big it should work
If hardware is the same I see no risks. Maybe iam the only one with balls and no brains?
I will only flash it if I can receive OTA updates for it... Otherwise I'll stick with stock TW

You make me happy, I hope we can see soon a release of the firmware ore a system dump.
Modem will probably not be compatible. The Google Edition is being sold by US carriers, they use different frequencies for 4G.
The ROM will probably boot but you might not get 4G or worse: no signal at all.

You're forgetting that radio libraries are not an issue since we can just manually push them from the ordinary 9505 fw

Hey guys, a friend tryed to get SCID on his 2.14 hboot evita
Everything went smooth until he tryed flashing the edited mmcblk0p4.
apparently he used a text editor instead of a hex editor which caused the problem.
So my question is, is there a way to flash the partition from windows while its in the EDIT: shows as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008"(COMM11)"? or i have to use linux
thanks ahead
@Vcek So does the phone not turn on at all? If not I'd try this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966850 otherwise, you're probably out of luck.

Generally this error means you have a brick. Some people have had success with the tool I posted, but not a lot. If you don't have a warranty you can send it into mobiletechvideos.com and get them to JTAG it for a reasonable price (I think it's $50)

The phone is fried. He's corrupted the extended partition table, which means nothing will show up in linux. It's jtag or nothing.

Ok aside from jtag doesnt htc have software that can access qualcomm download mode(qpst recognized the phone in download mode)? My question is basically can htc "fix" it without replacing the board, using specialized software?

I used to work in a place that built pcb's for a manufacturer and the chips were programmed in house then sent out for final software. So that mode may only be supported on the manufacturer end. I'm only guessing but seems feasible.

i got a question if my htc g2 gets drop on the floor and the mothrboard is not working and i replace it wit a brand new motherboard will i lose my cyanogenmod 7 rom or not
Wrong forum. Anyway I think the answer is yes, usually the memory chip is soldered directly on the motherboard.

Dear lord. Yes, you absolutely will. And if this question is any indication of your level of expertise, I doubt you will have a functioning phone at all, after "replacing the motherboard."

I know there is a way to add some options for example Reboot\Reboot Recovery in the power menu like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2594642
But ,I want to know if there is ONE APP can do and redo the change(consider about the OTA) like this:

I didn't found a appropriate APP in Google Play.

No. What's the big deal about rooting? What's the point in having an Android device, let alone a Nexus and not rooting it?

Some people bought it because they want the updates specifically. The original reason I bought the Galaxy Nexus from Verizon. Which was crippled.

Yes it does. Some people just wants the Official automatic update without flashing anything and not wait for the OEM and carrier take forever.
My mother's reason why she went with this and my friend's reason.
You could flash CM11 from the automatic installer but that CM11 ROM is pretty buggy

Chill dudes, it was just a question. Android is about freedom, whether you want to root or not is a personal choice. I come from a rooted S2 before my N5 and I would love to root my phone, but I'm just enjoying the phone as it is right now. No need to force your ideals into others' faces.

Installing a particular game off Play Store gives me "Application not installed "-24" error". Sideloading it gives me "App not Installed". Having this issue with 2 games actually (Deemo and Blocky Roads). A little annoyed as I would really wanna get my hands on those games! Then again I'm a little too busy right now to bother doing a backup and rooting + customising.

There is an option in developer options to turn on the advanced four way boot menu, don't know if you need to be rooted for it to work or not since I unlock and root my devices the day I get them.
Edit: Never mind what I said, I must of been running a rom that had this enabled, because I just checked my nexus 7 running purity and the option is not there.
